Android 8 presented by Murasaki as being an
assassinating monster is the first android to be introduced into the
Dragonball series. He was created by Dr. Gero as a guard
for the Red Ribbon army that Goku used to do battle with
so often in Dragonball. Android 8 hates fighting, and
refuses his creators order to kill goku due to his love
of life. After then, he becomes known as
Hathcan. After the Muscle Tower episodes, Android 8 goes
off to live a peaceful life, until the end of the Buu
Saga in Dragonball Z when he makes a return appearance
and donates energy to Goku in the final battle against
Majin Buu.

Hair: red
Series: DBZ
Big red haired Robot, dressed with a giant armour. He is
constructed by Dr. Gero, in order to destroy Gokuu. He
"stood" along side with #17 and #18, but due
to his love for nature, he refused to fight. Even though
he strongly protest against fighting he helps in the
fight against cell to prevent him from reaching perfect
form. He was beaten though and surverialy injured, but
was then repaired by Bulma and joined Gokuu's
"team" (Bulma also removed the bomb that he
had inside his body, as all of Dr. Gero's Robots contain
as a safety measure - #18 and #17 bombs were removed by
ShenLong at Kulilin's command, who already had a crush
on #18). Being extremely shy and quiet, he finally dies
at the hands (feet?!) of Cell, his death triggers Gohan
into going into Super Saiyjin 2. Because he's a real
Robot (a machine), he can't be brought back to life by
Shen-Long.

17 |
As
his sister, he was "robotized" by Dr. Gero.
Some time after being reactivated, he kills Dr. Gero,
starting then, his destructive actions - like his twin
sister, he has as a goal; to kill Gokuu (though he
doesn't like the idea since he is fulfilling Dr. Gero
original plans when he built him. #17 thinks that it is
necessary to have a goal in life). After some battles,
he finally joins with Gokuu's friends in their fight
against Cell. After being absorbed by Cell and
"spited" back, he disappears for the rest of
the series. He reappears during the fight between Gokuu
and Buu, where he gives his power to build up Gokuu's
giant Genki-Dama (giant energy ball, which is built from
nature and people's power); apparently at the end of the
series, #17 has become some sort of a hunter.

#17's
twin sister; she was originally human, but was then
transformed into a Robot by Dr. Gero. She was, along
with her brother, in "future Trunks" time
responsible for the killing of the world population.
During the normal time line, she remains less
destructive, having only a main objective, to kill
Gokuu. After some fighting she finally joins Gokuu in
their fight against Cell (Cell wanted to absorb both her
and her brother, so he can transform into his perfect
form - which finally does happens). After some fighting,
Cell finally "spits" #18 back. Some time after
Cell's death, #18 marries Kulilin, having a child with
him: Marron.

A
somewhat large Robot (constructed by Dr. Gero), with an
oriental look, and as #20 has power absorbers on the
palms of his hands, making him able to absorb the attack
and vital energy from enemy. Very quiet and had a
voice like a computer when he does talk. Later killed by
Vejiita. |

This Robot is in fact Dr. Gero's brain inside a robot.
Dr. Gero is an inventor from the Red Ribbon Army. After
SonGokuu destroyed it, due to his love for the army, he
wants revenge; so, he spends many years developing
Robots capable of destroying Gokuu and also turns
himself into a Robot. He then, together with #19, fight
against Gokuu and friends. Sometime later, he is
defeated by Piccolo. Piccolo lets him go, so he runs
into his laboratory, where he activates #17 and #18. As
soon as #17 is activated he kills his master. (Toriyama
initially intended to make #20 and #19 really strong and
difficult enemies, but due to both of the characters old
age, he decides to shorten their fighting period). |
