Variable Geo

Ahhh.....how wonderful....an Anime based on a video game. I must say, it's not *my* falut why I got it, it's my boyfriend ::points to Blue-chan accusingly:: his falult! hee hee. It pretty much started when he got the game and fell in love with it (yeah, and the next week, he fell in love with another one). He noticed that the main character, Yuka, looked just like me. Of course, I at first hated the idea, because the characters in the game where all buxom and beutiful. While, me with a chest size larger then the average teenager, but still not as pretty as I would like to be. ANYWAY.....to make a long story short, I gave in to being Yuka, and I picked up the anime.

I knew what was comming, I knew the basics of it, but I was still shocked. Well, there is this tornement, called Variable Geo. It determines the best waitress (YES, waitress) wrestler on all of Japan. The winner gets a Million dollars and some property. Of course, our girl Yuka Takeuchi, is in the little contest. The OVA opens with a rushed Yuka getting dressed for here job at Hanna Millers and then exclaiming as she looks down at her self "They grew again?!?" Yes, that *them*. Next we see Yuka doing her job, but, she's challenged to a fight by Kubota Jun, another VG warrior. In what I thought was just the coolest thing, They both whip out these cards and stick them in these posts that suddenly apear, and soon a wrestling ring apears. Cool, huh? Anyway, Yuka and Jun fight. Just as thing where getting low for Yuka, she calls on the power of her best friend, Satomi, and win the fight....and she does. But what happens to the loser you ask? they have to strip, yes, take off thier clothes to a crowd of people. *ahem* not my kind of thing....I DON'T Float that way..if you know what I mean

So the story goes on and we meer Satomi's little brother, who has some disease and needs a heart transplant. But, Saotomi is taking care of he brother all by her self because her parents are dead. So what does Saotomi do? She joins VG of course! But...not under normal cirumstances...she ends up as a test subject. Anyway, things move along and we meet Elly-lynn and her bunny girls,the young little Minami, who in my opinoin should not be in the VG thing and other minor characters.

Whelp, what can I say? I'm a girl, and I watched a T&A anime. I liked the story, not matter how wierd it was. It's really fun anime to watch on a boring rainy day or something. The main characters we see (Jun, Minami, Saotomi and Yuka) where developed nicely with really good character desigins. The animation quality was bright and vibrant, just how I like it. Whelp, all the gratudius nudity aside, I really liked it! It's gentle viewing for your brain. I give it a C+ but personally I give it a B+
