"Truth Revealed"

Chapter 2

"Here we are, two aspirin."

"Thank you Serena," Darien replies as he takes the offered tablets and water. Popping the pills in his mouth, he washes them down with the water.

"All better?"

"I will when these kick in. Now where do we begin?"

"No, tomorrow we talk. Now we both need rest and after school tomorrow we'll talk. Then we'll go to the scout meeting at Raye's temple," Serena scolded Darien as she proceeded to tuck the covers around his body.

"But Serena..."

"No buts, Darien. Go to sleep. If you won't do it for yourself, then for me. I have to go to school tomorrow and 7:00 comes pretty early."

"Alright. I'll go to sleep, but just for you."

"That's my muffin." Reaching over she brushes the hair out of his now droopy eyes.

"Now, I'm going to turn off the light so you can get some rest. If you need me, I'm right on the couch in the living room. And Luna's here, so if you hear someone moving, it's Luna."

Gazing at her through droopy eyes, Darien still marvels at Serena’s open heart and vows never to lose her again. Closing his eyes, he falls into a deep sleep. After tucking Darien in, Serena creeps out of the room and leaving the door slightly open, walks toward the couch and smiles at the sight there. < Poor Luna, she must as tired as I am. > After a quick trip to the bathroom to change her clothes and brush her teeth, Serena crawls into the makeshift bed and falls asleep.

"Darien! Darien, where are you?"

"I'm over here Meatball Head." Following his voice Serena goes into the garden. Seeing him by the pavilion she approaches Darien. She sighs as he turns around. He has his armor on and he cuts quite a dashing figure in it. < God, how I love him! >

"Darien, what's the matter? You seem so cold."

"Cold? Not cold, Serena. Disgusted, but not cold."

"Why disgusted?"

"Because I almost married a klutzy, crybaby, schoolgirl."
