Hotohori
Now, if one read some quotes said by Hotohori, they may think that he's self-absorbed and thinks he's all that. He has stated on more than one occasion that he is the most beautiful man around and such things, but he really is. I personally would have picked him over Tamahome, but everyone's got their preference.
Well, to get to the point, Hotohori is the emperor of Konan. He's rather young, but he's been emperor since he was a little boy. There's a touching episode of Fushigi Yuugi in which we learn that he's been waiting for the priestess of Suzaku to save him from his loneliness. It's so tragic. Poor thing. But he is also very noble, so he steps aside when Miaka declares that Tamahome is her choice. (Well, after he's sure that Tamahome isn't really dead.)
Hotohori is just really pretty and good with a sword. His symbol or mark of Suzaku is on his neck. It looks kinda weird when it glows, but hey, it's not like that happens all the time.
