RG Veda: the anime

Yeah, Yeah, Whatever.

If you have never read the manga, watching the RG Veda anime is bound to leave you with vague impressions of several people united in fight to overthrow the current evil ruler of ancient India, some silly guy name Kujaku who just flites around as if he's enjoying to the show, but is not really part of it and a beautiful land out of myth and legend. This is all true. If you have read the manga then you probably also know that the people happen to be the six stars, that they are definately trying to overthrow the evil ruler, who took a world that was so happy even the god of war was cotent and turned it into a nightmare and that Kujaku really is just along for the ride.
The animation in this is stunning. The animators did a wonderful job of emulating CLAMP's style and the scenery is just gorgeous. As I said the story is engrossing, but rather hard to follow. It's not something you want to watch when you don't feel like thinking, but despite its vaguries it is still enthralling.
