When my sister Artemis and I first looked at Gude Crest we thought it looked awesome, but we were also a bit nervous about it, because the box warned that there were adult situations and nudity, plus it had a -must be 18 to watch this video-sticker. But for some reason we rented it anyway. It didn't live up to any of our expectations. It was an hour long story of two traveling companions, a swordswoman and a sorceress, who were helping out some royalty in distress and winning back their kingdom. It sounds good, but the tape moves too fast and what could have been a very serious and moving piece attained only melodrama and mediocraty. The "adult situation" turned out to be that one of the minor characters died and it wasn't even well done. The nudity was a long the lines of the American version of Sailor Moon, with just the silouhette of the womans figure when her spirit left her body. It was too dark to be called a fluffy brainless movie, but it lacked enough depth to be anything more. On a whole it just wasn't good.
