If CLAMP Wrote...

home

This is a page of wondering. CLAMP, as we all know, is a wonderful group of women who write and illustrate beautiful, moving stories that always come to some sort of profundity. They embody the uniquely Japanese concept of "mono no aware", which loosely translates to something so dark or painful that it is beautiful. However, sometimes you gotta wonder. Are they terminally depressed? Do they need more sleep? Are they on something? And hey - what if they turned their attentions to some stories already written...?

What if CLAMP wrote...

...SailorMoon, the only person left alive would be Bunny, who would have to live with the fact that screwed up and that spiral would continue over again for eternity.

...Ah! My Goddess, you'd get Wish.

...Angel Sanctuary, Kira would aslo be in love with Setsuna and Rochel would succeed in offing Sara. Arachne would be a crossdresser because of his twisted past and the tragedy would be played up a lot more than the romance.

...Dragonball, the battles would be even bloodier and the humor less off color. There would also be more bishonen.

...Titus Andronicus, the plot would remain untouched, but the cast would be something like this:

Titus Andronicus: Fuuma
Lavinia: Kotori
Saturninus: Yuto
Bassanius: Sorata
Tamora: Saya
Aaron: Seishiro
Marcus: Kamui
Lucius: Arashi
Young Lucius: Nataku
Mutius: Nokoru
Baby: Hinoto
Nurse: Kusanagi
Tamora's sons: Satsuki, Toru, Subaru
Titus' sons: Kanoe, Aoki, Karen, Yuzuriha, Kakyo
Amelius: Mr. Monou
Clown: Hokuto

...Jane Eyre, Jane would be a medium, forever tormented by ghosts and spirits, which always would hearken back to the red room. She would know that the fire was coming and feel that there was nothing that she could do about it, because it was destined. Mr. Rochester and Adele would die in the fire, and Jane would discover that it was really Bertha that she loved all along. Sadly, due to Bertha's insanity, Jane is doomed to a loveless life forever after.

...Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good Very Bad Day, young Alexander would learn that bad days are a fact of life, but that they often end in tragedy. During the course of his day, one of his parents and both of his brothers would die, and he and the remaining parent would be left to grieve. Alexander would learn that there is no way to avoid such tragedies, but he would gain an inner strength that would enable him to press on, in the hopes that maybe someday he could change that reality.
