'Knights and Dragons are motral enemies, right? And everyone knows what happens when a Knight meets a Dragon, right? Wrong!
When a Knight and a Dragon meet and fall in love, the result is Mink, a precocious young female who's half dragon and all trouble! Exactly how much trouble? Well, in consideration of the fact that having vestigial and tail isn't a problem most teenage girls have to bear, one can perhaps cut our heroine a little slack, but when Mink insists on compunding her problems to infinite proportions by falling in love with handsome pop star...and professional dragon slayer...Dick Saucer, she really has put her heart before her head! Talk about problem dates! Will this turn out to be a love story where the hero really does get the girl...on the end of his sword? It's goofy, it's romantic, and it's undeniably one of the strangest comedies ever animated. If your taste in love runs to the extremely weird, or if you just have a think about girls who breate fire, check out Dragon Half parts 1 and 2!'
Dragon Half has to be one of the funniest Animes I have ever seen, and I don't say that very often. With characters like the half-dragon Mink, the dragon slayer and pop star Dick Saucer (what a name!) and even Damaramu, the most idiotic Knight I have seen (barring Mink's father Ruth the Red Lightning), it is hard not to laugh at least once when watching this! It can appeal to all ages, although there is a bit of nakedness and bad language. It so far seems only to have been released as 1 Anime video, although there are three Mangas, and the video appears to only be sold as subtitled (which in my personal view is soooo much cooler!). If they turned the other Mangas into Animes too then I know I would buy them, because the story isn't completed in the video and *sob* the Manga's haven't been translated into English!! Come on you Manga companies, translate them for us!!
