Author's Note: Well, this is part two of my little series! ^_^* Most of this story is going to be about Shaoran in the GW universe. Oh yeah, the cards that Galantha gives are not Clow or Sakura cards. They're her own cards. Enjoy!
Shaoran frowned as he drummed his fingers on the desk he was sitting in. Nearby Relena was making various phonecalls. Finally she turned and faced her guest. "The Gundam pilots will be here shortly to discuss what to do with you."
"The what pilots?" Shaoran questioned. Relena rolled her eyes and sank into a nearby chair before answering, "The Gundam pilots. You remember that big machine outside? That's a Gundam. Heero was one of the Gundam pilots." Shaoran slowly nodded and was about to say something else when he decided that bothering Relena any further would not be a good idea. So the two sat and waited like two stones.
There were several large "THUMP"s outside, and Relena rose and went outside. Shaoran didn't bother to follow, but went to the window instead. Outside, he saw four more of those "Gundam" things, and four supposed pilots. Those are Gundam pilots? I was expecting something else.... He continued his watch from the window and noticed that Relena was outside greeting them. She suddenly turned and pointed at the window Shaoran was standing by. Shaoran turned bright red and stiffly walked away from the window.
"That was Li Shaoran. He seems to know a bit about what is happening here. I just really hope you can get Heero back." Relena said. Duo rolled his eyes at Relena's last comment, but kept his mouth shut. Quatre smiled at Relena and said, "I'm sure that we'll get him back soon enough. He's quite capable of taking care of himself though."
"WAAH!!! BUT I WANT HEERO BACK NOW!!!" The Gundam pilots sweatdropped as Relena began to cry and wail. Wufei growled and mumbled, "Well, let's go see this Li person. I don't want to waste the entire day listening to her crying." Wufei stormed off and was soon followed by the others including the still bawling Relena.
Shaoran sat nervously in his chair and heard footsteps coming towards the door. He took a deep breath and tried to remain calm. The door swung open and in came the Gundam pilots with, of course, the still crying Relena. As their eyes looked over him, Shaoran could feel his face getting very, very red. Finally, the Gundam pilots stopped looking at him, and Shaoran relaxed a bit.
"So, you are Li Shaoran. Where are you from, and what have you done with Heero Yuy?" demanded Wufei. Shaoran stood up and faced the Chinese pilot and answered, "I am from Hong Kong, and I did not do anything to Heero Yuy. It is Galantha that made this switch between our worlds." Wufei raised an eyebrow and glared at the boy. Suddenly Wufei drew his sword. "I think that you are lying. Tell the truth, boy, or it's your neck!" Shaoran grit his teeth and his sword appeared in his hand. "I am telling the truth!"
"Hmph." Wufei narrowed his eyes and made a lunge at Shaoran. Shaoran dodged and took a leap into the air before coming straight down on Wufei. Metal met metal as the two faced off. "Guys! Please! Stop! Wufei, you don't want to kill our only hint to what happened to Heero do you? And you, um..Li! Please don't hurt our friend!" Neither one of the two seemed to hear what Quatre had said. Quatre was a bit disappointed, but Duo came up and put a hand on his shoulder. "Leave this to me."
"Oi! Wu-man! You're picking a fight with that little pimp-squeak? C'mon! You've gotta have better things to waste your energy on, such as....HELPING US FIND HEERO!!!" Wufei scowled at Duo, but sheathed his sword. Shaoran, seeing that his opponent had called it quits, magically made his sword disappear.
Khasekova was enjoying some peace in his "throne room" when a female figure appeared in front of him. The man looked up and smiled. "Hello Galantha. How are you today, mistress of the universe?" Galantha laughed and floated over to Khasekova. "I am well. How goes the battle here? You did hear that I switched one of the Gundam pilots to my world, correct?"
"Of course. Thank you very very much. Oh yes! Would you like me to provide some soldiers to deal with that boy if he does find some way to fight?" Galantha thought for a moment and answered, "Yes, that would be rather nice. I'll give you some magical creatures in return." Khasekova kissed the lady's hand. "That would be very nice of you."
"Not at all." Several cards appeared in her hands, and she presented them to the man. "Here. Whenever you need them, just call upon them, and they will appear." The man nodded and clapped his hands; a servant entered. "Yes, sire?"
"Get a fleet of mobile suits ready for battle. We're giving them to Galantha." The servant stuttered for a moment, but followed his superior's orders. "Your excellency!" He saluted and ran off.
Within a few hours, a large group of mobile suits were assembled in the mobile suits hanger. Khasekova turned to Galantha and smiled, "They are all yours." The lady giggled and smiled back. Khasekova then turned to his troops and began to speak. "Men! Today you are going to go with Galantha, the mistress of the universe. Obey her will or else, I'll deal with you personally! Is that understood? I will be getting reports from her, so don't think I don't know what you are doing. Good luck!" The men down below saluted and boarded their mobile suits. Galantha smiled at Khasekova one last time and raised her hands. In a large mist, they all disappeared.
"Best of luck, my beauty."
The Gundam boys, Relena, and Shaoran sat at a small round table and were discussing what action they should take next. Wufei and Shaoran were still glaring at each from opposite ends of the table, but nobody else seemed to notice. Relena's eyes were very red from all of her crying, and she excused herself to go clean up. "So, what should we do with the kid?"
"That's a very good question, Trowa." answered Quatre, "Li, what do you think we should do? You seem to be the only one who trully understands what is happening here. Li? Li?" Shaoran wasn't paying attention; he was still glaring at Wufei. Duo sighed and walked over to Wufei. "Wufei! C'mon! We're supposed to be buddies, not enemies. Now you two make up. NOW." Wufei turned his head away, and Shaoran did the same. Duo grumbled and sat back down in his seat. "Fine! We'll just leave you two outta this. We three will discuss what to do."
"But you guys don't know what's going on!!" protested Shaoran, "You don't know who Galantha is! You don't know what Galantha can do!"
"Yeah, but we do know what's going on in our world." countered Wufei, "You, on the otherhand, only know what Galantha is doing." Electricity flew between the two, but it was stopped by Quatre. "Guys! We have to work together, or else we'll never defeat Khasekova or Galantha." The two looked down at the table and kept their mouths shut.
After several hours of discussion and bickering, the boys called the meeting quits. They hadn't gotten anywhere with all that arguing between Wufei and Shaoran, and they would have to try again the next day. All five of them were laying on the green grass and were staring up at the blue sky. Suddenly a dark shadow covered Duo's view, and he sat up. "Oi! Who's blocking my rays?! Khasekova!!"
Sure enough, Khasekova was on top of the building they were in a while ago, and he seemed to have some sort of piece of paper in his hands. He threw the card in front of him and pointed his finger at it. "Card of Galantha! Awaken and fight for your master!!" When he finished speaking, the card glowed and vanished, and a figure appeared. The figure appeared to be male and was wearing a blue costume of some sort. Shaoran's eyes grew wide. "Clow card?!"
"hahaha...enjoy the card! Farewell little boys!!" With that, Khasekova vanished and left the card to do his bidding.
The Gundam boys were hurrying off towards their Gundams, and Duo made an attempt to drag Shaoran off. "C'mon Li!! If you wanna live, come with us!" Shaoran just shook him off, and drew his sword. "That aura....it is from Galantha. But how does that man have a card from her? Unless they are working together...." The blue-clad male was running straight at him, but Shaoran took a leap and escaped. When he landed on the ground again, the ground shook. He took a glance over his shoulder and noticed that the Gundams were moving.
"Li! Get outta the way!! We'll handle this one, " shouted Duo from Deathscythe Hell Custom. Shaoran shook his head and poised himself for another attack that was sure to come. That card...it is acting just like the Fight Card! A large shadow covered him, and Shaoran looked up. It was one of the Gundams. One of the Gundam's hands went down to Shaoran. "Get on, I'll get you out of here." It was Quatre. Shaoran shook his head again and shouted up, "You guys don't know how to battle that thing!! It's made out of magic!!"
"Magic?" A puzzled Quatre looked at the blue figure that Heavyarms Kai, Altron, and Deathscythe Hell Custom were trying to handle. The little thing just kept slipping out between their fingers. Quatre sighed, and Sandrock stood up. "Very well. Have it your way. Duo, Trowa, Wufei! Get away from that thing! Let Li take care of it."
Shaoran ran off towards the three mobile suits with his sword tightly clasped in his hands. The blue figure noticed him and leapt toward him. The two squared off, and the Card made the first move. With his fist raised, the figure plunged toward Shaoran. The boy drew out a slip of paper and held it in the air. "Lord of Lightning! Descend!" The slip of paper moved in front of his sword, and Shaoran pressed against it with his sword. As he stood there, lightening came from the paper and struck out at the blue figure.
The male made several attempts to dodge it, but after a while he was struck. He fell to the ground and vanished. Shaoran plopped down on the ground and stared at the place where the figure had been. "You can't capture these cards....if you defeat them, they just disappear!"
From inside their Gundams, the pilots watched in amazement. "So that's what he means by magic..." whispered Quatre to nobody in particular. Trowa's face then appeared on his screen. "What was that all about? It seems to be magic, but magic is nothing but illusions."
"I don't know what to make out of it, Trowa. Obviously that magic has stopped that thing, whatever it was." Quatre closed the transmission, and had Sandrock Kai kneel down. He opened the hatch and leapt out. Shaoran was still sitting there. The blond pilot walked over and sat down beside him. "I think we're more willing to listen now....tell us...tell us about this Galantha character." Shaoran raised his eyes and looked at the Arab. "Sure thing."
The five boys were seated once more at the round table, and this time, there were no arguments. The four Gundam pilots looked at Shaoran. "Begin." said Quatre. Shaoran nodded and began to tell his tale. "In my world, we have things called Sakura cards. They used to be Clow cards, and they belonged to my ancestor, Clow Reed. My friend Sakura, however, changed them all into her cards. We thought we had finally finished with this sort of magic business, but suddenly this aura began to appear. All those who are gifted will feel it. One time Sakura and I were taking a walk, and then we sensed that aura again. I ran off to find the source. I did find the source; it was Galantha. However, before I could do anything, I was stuck in some sort of mist. Before I knew it, I was sitting in front of that girl, Relena.
"As far as I know, that card that your enemy, Khasekova, used is somewhat similar to a Clow or Sakura card. The difference seems to be that we cannot capture the cards; they simply vanish. I fear that Galantha and Khasekova are working together. That's about all."
The five boys sat in silence; each one thinking their own thoughts. Finally, Wufei broke the silence. "What do you suggest we do, Li?" Li looked up in surprise, and stammered. "Well...umm...I think we should try to defeat Khasekova. We have to leave defeating Galantha to Sakura and the others."
"Why can't we, or should I say you, defeat her?" asked Duo. Shaoran looked down at the brown table. "I'm not strong enough. I don't have enough magic. In my world, Sakura not only has powerful magic, but she has the Sakura cards, Yue, Keroberos, Meilin, Eriol, Spinel Sun, and Ruby Moon to help her. I can't do it by myself. My magic is just too weak!"
"You've got us, don't you?" Duo probed with a smile, "Can't we help?"
"No...you don't have magic. It seems like no one here has magic. That's why we have to defeat Khasekova! That way, when Sakura and the others defeat Galantha, there won't be any remaining forces to deal with. They'll do their part, and we'll do ours." Shaoran looked at the other boys, and waited for a reply. That reply came from Wufei. "I say we do what the boy says. We'll fight the mobile suits, and he can handle those cards." Everyone nodded their heads, but then Shaoran spoke up. "Can I help with the mobile suits too? Maybe?"
"Why not. I don't suggest letting him use Wing Zero Custom, but I'm sure we can find something. Have any piloting experience?" said Duo. Shaoran sweatdropped and replied, "No...." The others then sweatdropped. "Well, hehe...guess we'll have to teach you!"
Duo had stolen a Virgo suit from one of Khasekova's soldiers a while back, and now it was to be Shaoran's. As he got in, he felt very strange. As soon as the hatch closed, Duo's face appeared on the screen. "Welcome to mobile suit piloting 101!! Today we'll will be teaching you how to move around in your mobile suit, which just happens to be a Virgo." Nearby in their own Gundams, Trowa, Quatre, and Wufei watched. Wufei mumbled to himself, "With that baka teaching, that kid is never going to learn."
Shaoran wasn't too sure about learning how to pilot a mobile suit anymore. When he wanted to move forward, the suit always went backwards. When he wanted to go right, he went left. Nothing seemed to be working for Shaoran. Duo, however, was optimistic and was cheering him on the entire way.
After an entire day of practice, Shaoran finally learned how to handle the mobile suit to a degree that he wouldn't be killed in a minute flat. As the hatch opened, Shaoran forgot that he was high off the ground, and he fell out of the cockpit. He landed neatly on his feet, however, since he had been training his whole life how to handle situations like that. The other boys used the pulley and lowered themselves onto the ground, and ran over to meet with Shaoran. Duo came ambling along with a huge grin on his face. "Aren't I great teacher?" The others sweatdropped and smiled. "Oh yeah Duo! You betcha!" came Shaoran's reply.
Over the next few days, Shaoran learned how to handle the Virgo suit, and seemed to managing well enough that he would actually pose a threat in battle. I kinda feel bad that I can't teach them anything in return. Card business is almost strictly limited to those with magic. Shaoran cast his eyes over at the group of friends who were lounging under a large tree. Shaoran drew his sword and began to practice.
Trowa pointed out to the others that Shaoran was practicing with his sword again. "It seems like he does that whenever he's nervous or has something on his mind." Trowa noted. The others nodded. Duo was going to go see if everything was all right, but Quatre stopped him. "Leave him alone. His mind must be confused because of all of things that are happening to him right now." Duo looked at the boy and sat back down. "Whatever you say, Quatre, whatever you say...."
Later that night, Shaoran snuck out of the mansion and went outside. He sat down on the grass and looked up at the stars. I wonder...I wonder if Sakura and I even look at the same stars anymore. A light blush appeared on his face as he thought about the girl. He let out a heavy sigh and lay down. Out of nowhere, a black-clad figure appeared next to him. "What's up Li? What brings you out here in the middle of the night?" It was Duo. Shaoran sat up and looked at his mobile suit instructor. "Nothin'. I'm just thinking about the home I left behind. I don't know how your friend is handling this, but I'm quite lonely."
"Lonely?" Duo looked at the boy seated next to him, "If you're ever lonely, come see me. I'll make sure that you're not. Being alone is one of the worst feelings in the world....I know that from personal experience." Silence came between the two. Then Duo spoke up again, "Well! The weather is rather nice...I think I'll just go to sleep right....here....." The braided-boy lay down and immediately fell asleep.
Shaoran sat looking at the stars a while longer. Sakura...wherever you are....I hope you're all right. Take care of everyone, and be careful. I send you my love, and may it be carried by angel wings to you. Oyasumi. With Sakura in his mind, Shaoran lay down and went to sleep.
