Jack of All Trades

Molly and Wolfe are the cartoonists who create Jack of All Trades. Jack of All Trades is a serial strip that follows the lives of two best friends, Alex and Jarrod. Alex is a laid back kind of guy, preferring to enjoy life rather than work hard at it. Also fond of the ladies, he is quick to show off, to display his talents. He can be brash and headstrong at times, letting his temper and his mouth get the better of him. Fortunately for him, Alex has Jarrod to rein him in before he does something he might regret. Jarrod is the level-headed one of the two, and take it upon himself to organize their work schedule and keep an eye on Alex. While Alex fritters off all of his wages almost immediately, Jarrod meticulously scrimps and saves every penny he can, but hasn’t told Alex why yet. Always on the lookout for new job opportunities, the duo takes jobs ranging from guarding a bakery for room and some bread, to cleaning out the sewers at the castle. It was there that Alex spied the crown princess Emily, the heir to the kingdom of Solmyra. While Alex has always dreamed about being in the castle (for nobler reasons than cleaning out the sewers of course), Emily finds that she is pining to get <i>out</i>. Emily is intelligent and strong-willed, but prefers to excel at what is considered manly duties, such as swordplay. Her father has decided for her that at the upcoming tournament, she will be betrothed to the winner, for the good of the land. This is a fate that she would rather avoid if at all possible.

Kiagi Swordscat

Aric Hooley is the cartoonist who creates Kiagi Swordscat. Kiagi Swordscat is a serial strip that follows the lives of two roommates: Kiagi Swordscat, and Priscilla Presson. Kiagi is a wisecracking, anthropomorphic (animals who take on human-like qualities) cat who is trained in many forms of combat. He spends a lot of his time flirting with Priscilla, whom seems oblivious to his flirtations, and jokes right back with him. Not that this affects Kiagi’s confidence, as he has an enlarged view of himself. Priscilla is a little naïve, and is a kind person with a quick wit, but just don’t make her angry. She enjoys hanging around with Kiagi, and views him as a great friend. Priscilla usually has to be the voice of reason for Kiagi, when he goes off on one of his Hugh Grant rants, or whatever other escapade that he embarks on. She works as a clown in order to pay the bills, and genuinely enjoys entertaining children with her routine. Things start to get rough, however, when Kiagi is targeted by a mobster hitman known as Robert “head in a box” Beretta, for reasons unknown. Fortunately, their next door neighbor, McNally, used to be a security guard, and is pretty good with a gun. McNally gets along well with Kiagi, as they share similar interests and personalities. They join forces in order to unravel the mystery that is falling into place around them (as well as to ogle Priscilla).

Krazy Larry

Paul Southworth is the cartoonist who creates Krazy Larry: Sanitarium. Krazy Larry: Sanitarium is an anthropomorphic (animals who take on human-like qualities), serial strip that follows the life of a green cat named Larry Osbourne. Larry, a former mental patient since the age of two, is relatively stable for someone who was the recipient of an unnecessary lobotomy. Due to having been raised in a mental ward, Larry does have his share of problems, most notably, his sadistic streak. After escaping, he came to live with his only real friend that he could find from his mental ward days, a wolf named Puck Wolfe. Puck can be easily pushed around, as Larry has often found out, and ends up taking loads of abuse that Larry is all too happy to dish out. This is not to say that Larry hates Puck, on the contrary, Larry enjoys having Puck around, but it's not like he wants Puck to know that. Despite Larry's tendencies toward violence and ridicule, Puck lives with Larry because he has formed a close bond with him, and also he has someone to share the misery with, Ezekiel, Larry's conscience. Ezekiel is somewhat of a failure as being Larry's conscience, since he can hardly keep Larry from doing whatever he wants, whenever he wants. This is partly due to Larry's stubbornness, and partly due to Ezekiel's general laziness. Ezekiel feels that he has been given an impossible task, as Larry will probably never change, but at least when Larry does something truly blasphemous or abhorrent, that Ezekiel snaps and can beat Larry into doing the right thing.

Lowest Common Denominator

Bryan M. Richter is the cartoonist that creates The News Chicks. The News Chicksis a serial strip that follows the life of a reporter named Raven Svoboda. Raven works as an on-the-spot reporter for WLCD-66, a television news station. Raven works with her friends: associate producer, Julianne McIntyre and senior anchorwoman Teresa Sligh. The News Chicks follows many different topics other than focusing on the operations of a news station, ranging from relationships, to uncovering a real-life witch, to even people's solidarity in the face of death.

Life On Forbez

Clarence D Cuasay is the cartoonist that creates Life on Forbez. Life on Forbez is a serial strip that follows the lives of Nok and her son Par. Nok and Par are an alien race called, Nordians. They come from the planet Nordia, a place so boring that even the slightest family altercation becomes planet-wide gossip for years to come. Most of the other races intensely dislike the Nordians due to their involvement with a certain species called humans. Nok and Par move to Forbez and find that the planet is ruled by a powerful race called Omnies. They believe that all other races are below them in the evolutionary ladder, and with their superior technology, end up controlling the other races. Nok and Par move in next door with a strange Omnie who doesn't act like the others of his race, after befriending him, they find that they are suddenly under his protection, which is where all the trouble starts.

Maakies

Tony Millionaire is the cartoonist who creates Maakies. Maakies is an anthropomorphic (animals who take on human-like qualities) strip in the gag-a-day format (having no ongoing storyline, but maintains the same characters) that follows the lives of two philosophizing layabouts, a crow named Drinky Crow and a monkey named Uncle Gabby. Drinky Crow had a traumatizing childhood from his alcoholic mother and deadbeat father who vanished shortly after he was born. Coupling that with his rocky relationship with the love of his life, a traditionalist seagull named Phoebe, it's no wonder that he turns to alcohol to find solace from his gnawing depression (a practice Phoebe detests). He either remains in a drunken stupor, philosophizing about life, or finds himself at the end of his rope, and thus ending it all (the preferred method is a pistol). Uncle Gabby shares his escapist attitude and philosophizing about life, as he prefers being drunk to sobriety. They spend a large amount of their time at sea drinking, much to the annoyance of the ship's captain. Fortunately for Uncle Gabby, he usually has the attention of the ship's daughter, so he (more often than not) at least has someone to keep him from eventually drifting to where Drinky Crow has ended up.

Mac Hall

Matt Boyd and Ian McConville are the cartoonists who create Mac Hall. Mac Hall is a serial strip that follows the lives of an artist named Ian and his fellow roommates in his college dormitory, Mac Hall. Ian, like most artists going through the classes in college, spends most of his time drawing, playing tons of video games on his Mac computer, and working at his part-time job at K-mart. Through this process, he has met several friends at Mac Hall, who complement his wacky schemes to relieve tedium and to help keep his sanity while working and going to school at the same time. Ian usually hangs around JM, and adds a nice contrast to Ian's bouts of nonsense, but doesn't end up stopping him since he goes with Ian's little schemes, mostly for the curiosity of how it will turn out. Drew is another of their friends, and he adds his two-cents to the mix through his biting sarcasm and blatant cynicism about everything. While he views people in a negative light, he does delight in perpetuating the misery of others, hence one of the reasons he took on the job of being a TA (teachers assistant). Matt is an aspiring journalist who tends to get caught up in Ian's schemes, despite everything he might do to get out of them. He is more intent on achieving his goals than getting wrapped up in some random insanity that Ian has started, but usually will fold to the pressure of the others, then loosens up and joins in. Micah is the resident online gaming junkie, as he spends most of his time playing games like Everquest, despite his girlfriend Helen's mild annoyance to such. Helen is an architectural major who enjoys hanging out with the guys, and can easily hold her own. He currently has an unusual relationship with Micah, an open one that tends to confuse most of the other residents of Mac Hall. With a group like this, and even more coming in and out of Mac Hall, who knows what bounds Ian's schemes can reach?

Malakhim

Aleph is the cartoonist who creates Malakhim. Malakhim is a serial strip that follows the “life” of recently deceased teenager, named Ben. Ben, like many teenagers, was a social outcast amongst his peers, which is probably what attracted Charlie, a girl several years his senior, to him as a kindred spirit. Charlie was also an outcast, and as such, she turned to alternative means to better her lot in life through the practice of the occult. Enjoying the chance to have a real friend, Ben would go out of his way to track down materials that Charlie would need, seeking her approval in addition to her companionship. Unfortunately for Ben, this proved to be his downfall as he managed to find a book that had enough information in it to be actually dangerous. Once they performed one of the rituals inscribed in that tome, they were surprised to find that it had indeed worked, and even more surprised to see one of the random participants strangle the life out of Ben. Upon awaking, Ben was surprised to find that an angel had appeared and was going to help him on to the other side. Not realizing that he was dead, Ben shunned the idea, clinging to the life he had recently just lost, and the idea of finding Charlie. The angel, Nathan (as he was called in this current earthly incarnation), sensing some other strange and possibly sinister nature in or around Ben, had no choice but to bring him along. Ben then found himself swept up in a myriad of events almost beyond his understanding. Ben is learning more about the war between the angels and the fallen that rages to this very day and about another presence in his body, which keeps him in a semblance of life and protects him when it beneficial. Now Nathan has to figure out what strange forces are working along in the background, and what to do about the boy who he is now in charge of.

Muy Muvesto

Jessica "Shiva" LeBlanc & Joseph "MoJo" Rogacki are the cartoonists who create Muy Muvesto. Muy Muvesto is a weekly serial strip that follows the lives of a group of “superheroes” living in Suburbia, USA. A time used to be that the town was regularly protected by superheroes, but as time passed many former superheroes neglected their duties. Now, with a resurgence of criminals, and crime coming on the rise, the local police are forced to take matters into their own hands. Fortunately for them, a group of four teenage girls have banded together, to be Suburbia's new superhero group called: Muy Muvesto! Shriek (real name: Ashlyn Tate) is the group's self-appointed leader and youngest member (at the tender age of 12) of the team. Shriek comes from an upper-crust background, and is used to getting everything that her heart desires. This has made her arrogant at times, and she usually has a sarcastic comment ready for any situation. Her superhero nickname comes from her tantrums; they are her special talent at getting everything that she wants. Ms. Mallet (real name: Reina Lawson) is the brains of the group, and by no coincidence, is also the oldest member (at the age of 18). She helps keep the other girls out of trouble, which can be stressful at times. Ms. Mallet gets her nickname from the large maul that she carries around with her, and uses in generous applications. Penny Lane (real name: Penelope Lane) is the most naïve member of the group, and often has a one-tracked mind. She constantly strives for ways to improve the appearance of the group in order to improve their reputation and increase in popularity. Penny Lane's nickname comes from her “ability” to throw change at her opponents. This decision was more a play on her name, due to a lack of ideas. Peep (real name: Carrie Quimby) is the final member of the group, having barely passed the screening test, and only then by breaking down into tears. Peep is scared of almost anything, and because of such, breaks down crying whenever she is scared. Peep earned her nickname by taking her little sheep, Bo Beep, around everywhere she goes. While they call themselves a superhero group, the fact of the matter is that they don't actually possess any real super powers. They just want to be like their idol (and real superhero), Ms. Invincible.
Neko the Kitty
Gearóid Molloy is the cartoonist who creates Neko the Kitty. Neko the Kitty is an anthropomorphic (animals that are attributed human-like qualities), serial strip that follows the life of a normal cat named Neko (he has human qualities attached to him, yet is just a ordinary house cat). Neko has an active imagination, and often spends his long hours around the apartment acting out his fantasies. Neko savors cigarettes, and spends his time with Maisy, Sarah's cat. While Neko cannot actually communicate with his owner, Alice Cooper, he does express his opinions, desires, and affections as many cats normally do. Alice is an undeclared college student, who lives in the college dorm with her roommate, a journalism major named Ellen Brickley. Alice savors her life, and spends little time studying, unlike Ellen. She used to spend a lot of her time with her boyfriend, Jeff Riverside, but recent events have changed that. Alice spends a lot of her time hanging out with her friend Gar Molloy, an aspiring cartoonist and fellow student, and Sarah Barrett, a student and computer aficionado. Gar is based on the author, and he acts as the narrator from time to time, while enmeshing himself in the story. Recently, he and Sarah recognized feelings for one another and started dating, this fact has slowly changed his cynical viewpoint on the world, but he still dislikes people in general. With Neko's recent fatherhood with Maisy, he now lives in Alice's apartment with his son, Keno, giving him a compatriot and foil to occupy his time during those long hours when Alice or Ellen are gone during the day.

Nip And Tuck

Ralph E. Hayes, Jr. is the cartoonist who creates Nip and Tuck. Nip and Tuck is an anthropomorphic (animals who take on human-like qualities), serial strip that follows the lives of two foxes, Nip and Tuck, the Todd brothers, and their life in the backwoods of Malarkey Country. Nip is the rambunctious one of the duo, spending his time dynamite fishing, finding new ways to burn things to a crisp, and trying all sorts of crazy stunts. He's done all sorts of stunts ranging from: attempting to shoot himself out into a shallow lake with a giant slingshot, to flying through the air by a runaway barbecue grill, to even going to stuntman school. Tuck is the more relaxed one out of the duo. He spends a lot of his time working on their Jeep Daisy, keeping it in a good condition compared to the condition it was first in. Aside from his jeep, he has to spend a fair amount of time saving Nip from his stunts and fend off problems he has caused, although, lately he is spending more and more time with his childhood friend and recent sweetheart, a possum named Thelma.
Nothing Nice to Say
Mitch Clem is the cartoonist who creates Nothing Nice to Say. Nothing Nice to Say is a comic in the gag-a-day format (having no overall storyline, but maintains the cast of characters) that follows the lives of two roommates, Blake and Fletcher. Blake prefers to be seen as an intellectual on various aspects of punk culture. He is the more reserved of the two, preferring to sit back and watch events unfold. Fletcher, on the other hand, is very impulsive and will say about anything that is on his mind. He tries to control some of his natural tendencies when around female waitresses or baristas that he likes, but generally to no avail. The two spend their free time hanging out with friends at bars, or going to various live shows. They even tried to start their own punk band called The Negative Adjectives, and managed to secure their mutual friend, an anthropomorphic (animals that are attributed human-like qualities) gopher named Cecil, to play bass, but he quit the band before their first show. Even still, Blake and Fletcher continue working with the band, occasionally playing shows in various clubs, but don't pursue it as their main focus. Generally Blake and Fletcher enjoy having lengthy discussions about the state of punk rock, and usually end up complaining about various aspects or insulting bands that have deviated from the punk rock image, have no talent, or "sold out".
The Perry Bible Fellowship
Nicholas Gurewitch is the cartoonist who creates The Perry Bible Fellowship. The Perry Bible Fellowship is a strip in the gag-a-day format (having no overall storyline, but maintains the cast of characters) and most of the comics have an implied moral message similar to Aesop’s Fables. Contrary to what you might think, The Perry Bible Fellowship isn’t really a religious strip. It uses vivid and unusual imagery to deal with such topics as violence, sex, the nature of reality, and infidelity.
Peter & Company
Jon Ponikvar is the cartoonist who creates Peter and Company. Peter and Company is an anthropomorphic (animals that are attributed human-like qualities), serial strip that follows the life of a pre-teen tabby cat named Peter. Peter is a little bit of a loner and a social outcast, which is probably why the council of guardians placed Seth the duck as his chosen guardian spirit. Peter believes that Seth is his imaginary friend, and spends a large amount of his time in Seth's company, listening to the advice that he has to give as well as being his constant playmate. Seth is assigned to Peter in order to keep him out of trouble as well as guide him through this difficult period of his life. This isn't to say that Peter doesn't have any "real" friends, however. Peter has company with Iggy the gecko, a fellow outcast such as himself, who as it turns out, also has a guardian spirit named Skin the snake. Skin has a hard time keeping up with Iggy, and does all he can to keep him out of trouble. Iggy is very impulsive, and often takes off on his own, content to be alone if need be, unlike Peter, who agonizes over the fact that he is not better accepted by the general population of his peers. Peter has a sympathetic ally with his more socially acceptable friend, Chelsea the bear. Chelsea grew up across the street from Peter with her adoptive parents, and due to her turbulent past, but unbeknownst to her, she too was granted a guardian spirit named Persephoni the bunny. These three friends try to struggle through life, not fully understanding that they have a helping hand that others don't in their imaginary friends or pets, by way of the guardian spirits.

The Pet Professional

Jason Salsbury and Matt Kaufenberg are the cartoonists who create The Pet Professional. The Pet Professional is a serial strip that follows the career of an assassin-for-hire codenamed, The Pet Professional. The Pet Professional is an unusual contract killer, as he only takes jobs where the target is pets, and refuses to kill people. No one knows The Pet Professional's true identity, but people arrange jobs for him through his handler, The Voice. His rates vary from assignment to assignment, but are negotiable depending on what the target is, how the job is to be done, and how long he has to do it. Already his exploits have attracted the attention of PETA, as they have named him their number one target, and they have created an active strike force to stop him. The strike force, headed by Agent Lincoln, tracks The Pet Professional's movements and tries to set up traps to apprehend him in order for him to be turned over to the proper authorities and face justice for his crimes. Agent Lincoln has a personal investment in the case, as The Pet Professional has eluded him several times in the past, and taunts him with secret gifts of fur coats and various meat products. Agent Lincoln vows that it is only a matter of time before The Pet Professional is brought to justice.

Pixelated

Jason Furness is the cartoonist who creates Pixelated. Pixelated is an anthropomorphic (animals that are attributed human-like qualities), serial strip that follows the lives of several individuals from Pleeoria , Illinois. Howie T. Cat, a tabby cat, spends a lot of his time trying to keep away from a gray-furred cat named Shadow, hanging out with his friend a duck named Mark. Mark tends to exaggerate things to extremes and gets carried away with them. For instance, he was given a top hat by his sister Splunky, and ended up thinking he was a very wealthy duck named Ebeneezer McMallard ala Scrooge McDuck?. There is also Angie, who was only called for the longest time “The Anime Chick”. Angie ends up being the stereotypical anime fan, and spends a lot of her time trying to increase her collection of all things anime. There are also the following characters: Slicker the fox; Dum Dum the dog; Lucky, the black cat; Ima Stweardess; Sarah Cat, brother to Howie; Jonny, a black/white cat; Ben the mouse; Jill Jitters, a brown skunk; Ron the Raccoon; and many others.
Platinum Grit
Trudy Cooper and Danny Murphy are the cartoonists who create Platinum Grit. Platinum Grit is a serial strip that follows the life of inventor, Jeremy MacConnor. Jeremy is shy and introverted, probably due to the fact that his parents were lost on an expedition when he was very young. Jeremy was raised by his aunt and uncle in Scotland, where his cousin and aunt constantly took out their aggressions on him, making him feel small and insignificant. His uncle was usually deeply involved in his work and missed a number of these transgressions, but as soon as Jeremy was able, his uncle started utilizing him as his apprentice, and educated him as he grew up. After his uncle's death, Jeremy left the castle for life on his own. After some time, he met the wanderer, Nils, who started accompanying him around. Jeremy attracts unusual things and weird situations, which gives the extroverted Nils something interesting and/or fun to do. Nils keeps a lot of her feelings or thoughts to herself, and expertly manipulates Jeremy's feelings towards her, so that things come in her favor. They have a complex relationship as she doesn't have any plans on being with him, yet doesn't want to give up her play toy. The situation becomes more complex when Nils's friend Kate becomes involved and slowly develops feelings toward the pitiable Jeremy. Kate is a writer, and because of her constant problems with people (such as bad ex-boyfriends), she maintains a bitter outlook on life. She finds Jeremy, on the other hand, to be so naive that he is almost pure, and desperately wants some of his outlook on life to rub off on her. Of course, this doesn't mean that Nils will just let Jeremy and Kate be together, and tries to undermine the relationship through her usual manipulations, suggesting that she might have more of an interest in Jeremy than she lets on.

Pointless

Michael Derenge is the cartoonist who creates Pointless. Pointless is a strip in the gag-a-day format (having no ongoing storyline, but keeping the same characters for the strip), that follows the life of Michael Derenge. Michael is your typical teenager, he goes to school, hangs out with his friends, plus he also makes interesting quips and observations about a variety of things. He is the more realistically minded one of his group of friends, which include: a skateboarder named Kevin who tends to be overconfident, but backs up his abilities; a football player named Grahm who likes to be the clown of the group; a focused drummer named Josh with a quick temper; and the proverbial target of the strip, Tony, the butt of many a joke, but still a good friend. The group hangs out, goes to school, plays some video games, and basically comments and jokes around about teenage life. All the while, having a good time.

Sex & Violence

Aaron H. Holm is the cartoonist who creates Sex & Violence. Sex & Violence is a serial strip that follows the life of a freelance assassin named Ajax. Ajax isn't your normal assassin. For one thing, she is a robot who was originally designed to be a waitress for the Seven Cohee's Family Restaurants in Triad City, but was taken and reprogrammed for assassinations. Until recently, Ajax worked with her fixer (a person who arranges for her to receive jobs, talks with clients, and collects payment for her), Bishop and hires herself out to various individuals in order to kill people to make money. Ajax always has a pleasant attitude and cheery disposition, even when she is shoving a pistol in your face and finishing you off. Recently, Ajax was working for a unique individual named Herr Von Zell. Von Zell is a strange abnormality, such that he has the physical body of a baby, and the mentality of a grown up, being that he is over 83 years old. Needless to say, this is a sore point with him, but he has made up for this disability by hiring out assassins to do his wet work for him, since he is the head of a major international crime syndicate. Now Ajax has to deal with being on her own, and promptly “acquired” herself a new apartment, as she tries to keep Bishop happy by moving, despite the fact he wants nothing to do with her.

Sexy Losers

Hard aka Tang Ho is the cartoonist that creates Sexy Losers. Sexy Losers is a gag-a-day strip that centers on humor about sex. Sexy Losers has amusing topics ranging from the escapades of a necrophiliac, to a magician, to even some humorous pranks. Sexy Losers is quite explicit in its depictions of its characters having sex, and should only be read by people over eighteen years of age. Parental Discretion is definitely advised.
