This here's a little bit of space about Ranma 1/2. For those of you who don't know what Ranma 1/2 is (though I don't know why you'd be here if that was the case) it's an anime about a certain unlucky, or lucky, depends on how you look at it, pig tailed teenage martial artist named Ranma Saotome, the heir to the Saotome School of Anything Goes Martial arts.
He comes back to Japan from a 10 year long training trip with his poor excuse of a father, Genma, with a curse that changes him from a tall and handsome black haired boy into a short and gernerously curved red headed girl.
If things couldn't go worse, they did. Ranma finds out that he has a fiance! His father made a drunken bargain with his equally drunken friend, Soun Tendo, that their school's would be joined through marriage. And lo and behold! Genma's got one fine strapping son and Sounhas three pretty daughters, Kasumi, Nabiki and Akane, all with almost totally differing personalities.
But, that's not the least of his problems. Ranma's engaged to Akane, a violent tomboy with a major anger management problem.
Laughter and tears, smiles and frowns, Ranma 1/2 is full of different emotions and situations but all of them having something happen to poor Ranma. With cats and ducks, pigs and pandas, Amazon warriors and violent tomboys, rythmic gynasts and cullinary brilliants, morons and geniuses, perfect hostesses and wizened old crones, Ranma 1/2 is a hilarious comedy based around one Ranma Saotome's life.
