Gee, another bad title. Oh well. I own nothing. I’m but a poor, poor college student with approximately…three dollars to my name. Inu-Yasha is not mine, nor are any of its characters or situations. I really should be thinking of something clever to say for my trademark…but the creativity just isn’t there right now. Oh well. Please remember to read and review! Thanks!
“So you love her then?”
“I never said that.”
“Well then, you don’t love her.”
“I…I didn’t say that either!”
“So…you do love her.”
“I didn’t say!”
“Well then you don’t.”
“Stop it!”
“Inu-Yasha, either you love her or you don’t. Women are the most difficult of all creatures to understand. If you tell them you love them they get angry. If you do not admit your feelings, they feel the same way. It seems that no matter how a man acts, they can’t seem to be pleased. They don’t seem to like being loved, and they seem to hate being unloved even more. Women are creatures that will elude understanding for eternity.”
“You can say that again.”
“Actually, I probably can’t.”
“But it’s true, no one can understand the way women think and act.”
“So what is it you feel for Lady Kagome? It’s either love or it’s not love.”
“How come there’re only two choices? That’s not fair monk.”
“No one ever said love was fair.”
“Feh.”
“Well…it isn’t Inu-Yasha. Love is not fair. That is the oldest truth known to man.”
“And the second oldest would be—”
“No one understands women.”
“Why the hell does everything get so confusing when it comes to…her. Nothing else had ever caused me trouble before. Not until I met Kagome. That girl…she’s so…annoying!”
“But you fight for her.”
“I…”
“Any man can see it Inu-Yasha. You fight to protect Lady Kagome…because you love her.”
“We’re back to this again, are we? I never said I loved her monk.”
“Actions speak louder than words.”
“Feh! Don’t even start. What if I decide to say that I don’t know what my true feeling for her are?”
“Then she will only become annoyed with you. We’ve all seen that happen rather often…no offense.”
“But…But that’s not fair!”
“No one ever said—”
“No one ever said love was fair…yes. I know. I know.”
“Inu-Yasha…what would you do for her?”
“Do?”
“Hai. You’ve proven it before. You’ve put your very life on the line for her countless times. So…is that how you show your love for her?”
“I…I just don’t want to see her harmed. I wouldn’t be able to stand seeing another woman injured…or worse.”
“You’re not like you used to be, or so Lady Kagome and Shippo tell me. They have told me many times that your rough edge has seemed to smooth out. Is it because of her?”
“I am no different than I ever was! I don’t care what others claim to see in me! I am who I’ve always been, and nothing will every change that. Not you or Kagome or anyone.”
“So you say.”
“Don’t you dare make fun of me!”
“I’m not. I am only speaking the truth.”
“You lie! If I have changed even in the slightest way since I’ve known Kagome, wouldn’t I have notice it?”
“Not necessarily. The ones who need changing don’t always realize it.”
“Enough of your spiritual talk. You’re bothering me…go away.”
“Inu-Yasha…”
“I said leave me alone! Get the hell out of my site monk!”
“Fine. I was only trying to—”
“I don’t care!”
“Maybe you don’t even need to verbally admit your feelings Inu-Yasha…Your actions have already proven to be more than enough admittance.”
“Ha! My actions prove nothing except that I’m deadly in battle and anyone with a brain would be wise to stay out of my path. Are you going now, or will I have to chase you down?”
“Fine. I’ll leave lover boy.”
“You’re trying my patience…”
“You don’t have to act like such a rock Inu-Yasha. You are allowed to show feelings once in a while.”
“Hmph…”
“Maybe you have no feelings for her, but I’ll tell you this. She loves you Inu-Yasha. Kagome loves you.”
“I…”
“She doesn’t debate her feelings. She knows she loves you.”
“Kagome…”
“And you…you’d best make up your mind before you break her heart. You have two choices; either you love her or you don’t.”
“That’s all?”
“So I’ve said nearly a dozen times now.”
“Well then…I do…I love her. It may make her angry sometimes but I don’t care. Love’s supposed to stay stronger than fading over little fights. I…I protect her because I love her.”
“Inu-Yasha…”
“I’ll tell you one thing Miroku…breath a word of this to anyone, and I’ll rip out your throat.”
“Gotcha.”
“So Kagome…after going through all my feelings…everything I’ve ever felt about you…I guess it’s true. Ai shiteru.”
The End
Wow…that fic was random…but I’m proud of it. I hope you all enjoyed it. If this one gets good reviews, I may write more dialogues like this. ::bows:: Please remember to read and review! Arigato!
