Inuyasha

The Bio:Brash, arrogant, cocky, and very tough, Inuyasha is the half-youkai son of the Demon Lord of the Western Lands (a Taiyoukai), and a human princess. His appearance is mostly human, though he sharp claws, fangs, and pointed dog ears. From time to time he also tends to growl like a dog. Other than his natural weapons, he also wields the Tetsusaiga, an extremely powerful sword that has the ability to slay 1,000 demons in one swing. Two powerful attacks go along with the sword, Kaze no Kizu, and Bakaryuuha. It also has the ability to break down barriers.

When first seen in the series, Inuyasha may be thought to be a ruthless and self-centered character, as his goal is to obtain the Shikon no Tama and become a full-youkai. The story is a bit twisted, however. Inuyasha had intended to use the jewel to become a human, and thereby purify it. He would then be able to live with the woman he'd fallen in love with--the priestess Kikyou. Naraku ended up tricking both of them into hating each other, and causing Kikyou to pin Inuyasha to a tree with a magical arrow just before dying herself. Inuyasha was asleep for fifty years.

After being freed by Kagome, Inuyasha is forced to team up with her to seek out shards of the broken Shikon no Tama. He only agrees wishing to take the completed jewel for himself. Slowly but surely his attitude begins to change, and he comes to find he would do anything for his new friends, no matter how they tend to grate on his nerves at times. His budding romance with Kagome is sincere, but he can't forget about Kikyou, especially since her resurrection. He is determined to eventually find and kill Naraku.

My Opinion:He's not the sharpest knife in the drawer, and he doesn't have a moment of patience in him. No one would doubt, however, that Inuyasha is the backbone of the group when it comes to power. He'll hit something until either it or he breaks. He certainly doesn't know when to quit.

Early in the series Inuyasha is an arrogant, bratty, and selfish half youkai, but as time progresses, and more members are added to the group, the selfishness dissapears. He is a protective, and feircely loyal friend.
