Perfect Dark

Perfect Dark

Another Game By Rare, And Also Another Game That Shows That The N64 Is Not Just For Kids. Also, It Provides Some Of The Best Entertainment The N64 Has To Offer. Now Where Should I Start? The Graphics, Sound, Control, Gameplay, Replay Value? Oh, Well. I'll Just Start Out By Saying That This Is The Goldeneye Killer. Yep, It's Finally Here! You Will Find That Perfect Dark Has Many Similarities To Goldeneye, But Why Is It Better? This Parts Easy-The Multiplayer Mode Is The Big Reason. The Multiplayer Mode In Perfect Dark Is Unsurpassed. In The Multiplayer Mode, You Have The Challenges (Which Test Your Skill To The Limits), Quick Setup (For All Of You Impatient People Out There), And Finally, The Fully Customisable Greatness Of All Out Multiplayer! You Can Choose Between Different Game Types-Regular Combat, Capture The Briefcase (Same As Capture The Flag), Pop The Cap, King Of The Hill, Etc. You Can Choose Between Options Such As Which Weapons You Want, The Time Limit, A Scrore Limit, The Music That Plays, Teams, Slow Motion (All The Time Or Smart), Fast Motion, One Hit Kills, Handicaps, And You Can Even Choose Which Character You Are! The Great Thing About The Multiplayer Is That You Can Even Play It With One Player! You Can Do This By Adding Computer Controlled "Bots". These Have Many Different Difficulty Levels And Types Such As-Kaze Sims (Will Try To Kill You Even If It Means Sacrificing Themselves), Speed Sims (The Name Says It All), Venge Sims (If You Kill Them, They Will Try To Get Revenge), Rocket Sim (Tries To Get The Explosive Weapons), Fist Sims (Will Only Attack You With Their Fists), Peace Sims (Dislike Fighting, So They Try To Steal All Of The Weapons To Prevent You From Fighting), And More! All Of These Sims Can Also Be Set To A Difficulty Level-Meat (Let's Just Say I Killed One With My Fists When He Had An Automatic), Easy (Just Like The Name Says), Normal (Plays Like A Human Of Average Skill), Hard (Plays Like A Human With Above-Average Skill), Perfect Sim (These Sims Reach The Impossible Level Of Difficulty Unless If You Have Mastered The Game), Dark (Can Do Things That Even Human Players Can't Do, Almost As Good As I Am). So I Guess You Get The Point That The Multiplayer ROCKS!!!!! It Boosts The Replay Value Through The Roof! The Single Player On The Other Hand, Is Not As Good As The Multiplayer But Still Fun To Play. The Best Part About The Single Player Is The Alien Named "Elvis". Now I'm Going To Move On To The Graphics, Play Control, Etc. Now Watch In Amazement As I Do This All At Once. The Graphics Are Superb! Every Last Detail Is Practically Flawless. The Framerate Drops Now And Then, But What Are Ya Going To Do? The Sound Quality Is Also Amazing For An N64 Cartridge! This Game Has The Second Most Spoken Dialog Of Any N64 Game (Conker Being Number One). The Control Is Perfect! You Can Even Choose Between Different Styles Of Control, Depending On Your Taste. Now What Else Is There? Oh, Yeah! The Variety Of Weapons Is Incredible! Each And Every Gun Ranging From Falcon Twos To Alien Weapons Are A Lot Of Fun To Use, And Every Gun Has A Secondary Function. Such As The Slayer Can Be Used As Either A Regular Missile Launcher Or A Fly-By-Wire Rocket (Lots Of Fun). There Is A Lot More To This Game, But I'm Going To Let You Have The Privelege Of Finding The Rest Out. Whether You Rent It Or Buy It, I Almost Guarantee You That You'll Have A Good Time! (Be Sure You Have An Expansion Pack Though.)
