This is some of the best anime to come out of Cartoon Network in a long time-with the exception of Dragonball Z. Although the series has just now arrived, I'm predicting it will last a while(Do NOT quote me on that). The basic storyline is well thought-out, but has a few minor flaws(How did Gene get all those weapons? And where is he hiding them?), however, since the series hasn't shown many episodes, I'm sure we'll eventually find out. Add insult here. The thing I hated most was the overuse of guns, grenade launchers, etc. Doesn't this guy know how to fistfight? It makes him look weak, hiding behind a gun. Besides, the change scene/bullet flying split always freaks me out. Parents should love it. Another thing I don't like is that it seems too short, possibly due to the extensive amount of editing I know occured before airing. Despite it's obvious disadvantages, Outlaw Star could prove to be an excellent show. But, if not, you should read my 2nd review of the show coming soon.
