Card Captor Sakura
Dragon Ball Z
Miaka - An ordinary schoolgirl who hates to study but loves to eat, she discovers "The Universe of the Four Gods" with her best friend Yui in the national library. After falling into the book and becoming part of the story, she agrees to become the Suzaku no Miko and save the Konan empire from a coming war. She falls in love with Tamahome, one of the seven seishi, and is loved in return by almost all who meet her because of her kind heart and unselfish way of looking at things. She may act like an airhead sometimes, but underneath is a heart of gold.
Yui - Miaka's best friend since childhood, she is the "braniac" of the school they attend. She falls into the book with Miaka, as well, but her destiny lies on a different path than that of her best friend: A destiny that rips their friendship apart. I'm afraid I can't put too much more cuz I hate givin' spoilers as much as I hate readin' 'em, and I might accidentally give sumfin away.. ^.^;;
Tamahome - One of the seven Suzaku seishi, he's a money-grabbing street boy who falls in love with Miaka and protects her throughout the series. His awesome martial arts make him a good (and good-looking bodyguard). He gets close to the people around him quickly, taking in his team mates as family and protective of them even when teasing them mercilessly, though he never seems to get as close to any of them as some of them (such as Tasuki and Chiriko) get. Methinks his eyes are too full of Miaka..(see pic) ^_~ hee
Nuriko - Don't you dare diss my crossdressing, purple-haired seishi! I'll beat you up!! *ahem*..NE way.. Nah, he can beat you up himself. ^_^ After all, Nuriko's the strongest of the seven seishi. He has incredible inhuman strength, which is only enhanced by the bracelets he later recieves. Though he tends to drool over the gorgeous emperor Hotohori, and at first is insanely jealous of Miaka, he later becomes her best friend. There are lots of cute scenes of the two together goofing off (pic!). He doesn't only have physical strength, however. His heart is just as strong. Though he loves to tease Tamahome and Miaka, he can be just as protective as Tamahome at times, and would do anything for Miaka. He also buddy-buddy's with Tasuki, despite the redhead's crudeness.
Hotohori - The narcissic emperor of Konan, Hotohori isn't like most rulers who sit on the throne and throw out orders. His main concern is always for his beloved people, and he will go to enormous lengths to protect them and rule them wisely with a gentle but firm hand. After hearing the legend of the Suzaku no Miko in childhood, he spent his life awaiting her arrival, sure she would ease the lonliness he suffers from. Hopelessly in love with Miaka, he sees Tamahome as competition, and so for awhile the two do not get along. His talent with the sword is impressive, as well.
Tasuki - The red-headed, short-tempered, foul-mouthed, thieving, woman-hater, water-fearing, fire warrior of the gang. ^_^ Hee. Tasuki is the definate hooligan of the group. He swears like a sailor, he doesn't keep his opinions to himself, and he tends to go crazy with his "lekka shinen" attack (a fire attack with his fan). Still, he's a fun character~! Though at first a little wary of the other seishi, Tasuki soon opens up (in other words, treats them affectionately bad ^.^;;) to them, always pestering Tamahome and Nuriko in particular, though his loyalty to Miaka and his friends is without question in threatening situations. His hatred for his enemies is just as strong and unbreakable as his love for his friends, and he can be a fierce fighter, though he tends to leap into a fight without thinking. His best bud is Kouji, a fellow bandit. Watch them do their victory dance~! lol Oh yeah, and he has fangs. ^__^ kawaii
Chiriko - The youngest (at 13) and one of the smartest of the group, Chiriko is a sweet but brave boy determined to fulfill his role as a Suzaku Seishi, hoping to use his intelligence to help his miko. He is taken under Chichiri's and Mitsukake's wings in particular, as Chichiri is schooled, as well, and Mitsukake treats him like a little brother at times. The others grow attatched to him, too, becoming like a second family to the wealthy child.
Chichiri - Chichiri is the masked monk of the group, almost always with a smile, and forever ending his sentences with "no da!". His powers with his staff are strong and handy when a magical shield or attack is needed in battle. He bonds with Chiriko, and later Tasuki, and of course is close to Miaka. When he becomes serious or angry, however, and the mask comes off, he reveals his scar. (how he got it is explained in the 5th episode, I think) He's an adorable chibi, btw. ^_^ Sometimes he makes himself look like others to buy time for his friends. I won't give away who he changes into, but... lol it's pretty damn funny. ^__~
Mitsukake - Mitsukake is one of those characters that quickly fades into the background and is often overlooked. ^.^; However, I do know enuff about him to put a description without givin' spoilers. *sheepish grin* Mitsukake's powers lie in healing. Though it can drain his strength when he overdoes it, his healing magic can cure almost anything. His little companion, the cat Tama, is always somewhere around, whether with Miaka, Chichiri, or another of its numerous 'masters'. Mitsukake is the quiet, solemn one of the group, not one to crack a smile often (or a joke, for that matter), and dedicated to whatever he puts his mind to, whether it's healing a wounded man or protecting Miaka.
Nakago - Friggin' bastard!! Sorry... ^.^;; Had to get that outta my system. *sniff* I don't wanna do his profile.. *pout* Yes, no secret about it: I hate Nakago...I LOATHE Nakago. I don't care how good looking he is. He--Oh. *blink* Oopsie.. ^.^;; *clears throat* Uh, right, summary, lessie... Nakago, the head of the Seiryuu Seishi, is a heartless man who will do anything to get what he wants. He uses his loyal followers like pawns, making use of them when they're useful and disposing of them once his interest in them is lost. Acting completely cold towards Soi's obvious attraction to him, he breaks not only her heart, but Yui's (is that a spoiler..? ^.^;; i hate spoilers =p). He is the strongest opponent the Suzaku Seishi have. His past, however, may make you stop and think...

Heero Yuy - Gundam Pilot 01. Dubbed the "perfect soldier," Heero Yuy shows very little to no emotions, seemingly detached from everything, and considers completing his current mission to be his top priority - even above surviving. He's just a bit trigger-happy with that self destruct button (see pic), but other than that he's level-headed and mono-tone. He is Japanese, and the pilot (in later episodes) of Gundam Zero. There are only two characters in the whole series that he seems to turn to: either Duo, or Relena.
Duo Maxwell - Gundam Pilot 02. Known as "Shinigami" (God of Death), Duo is the insane laughter of the GW boys. He acts carefree and a bit reckless, often bullying the others into either laughing or (in Heero's case) trying to kill him. He is an American, and pilot of the DeathScythe. So far as I know, his self-destruct button has never worked (^_^;; hehehe; fascinating tid-bit, ne?). Another tidbit: he's also one of the best mechanics of the GW boys, and looks darn cute doing it, don't you think? (see pic) His past is kinda dark, tho.. just read the translation of Episode Zero.
Trowa Barton - Gundam Pilot 03. Almost as stoic as Heero at times, Trowa nevertheless has a firm belief in what's right and what's wrong. He is a close friend of Quatre's, and they do duets together with the flute and violin. In his 'civilian' life he poses as the world's most serious clown ^.^ in a circus where he meets his "sister" Katherine. (see pic) Also, there is a bit of arguement goin' on about his nationality.. some say French, others just "Europe".. *shrug* Anyone know for sure, pleez tell us!
Quatre Raberba Winner - Gundam Pilot 04. The "Arabian Prince", Quatre is the compassionate angel of the group. If given the chance, he will spare his enemies, always giving them the chance to surrender first if he can help it. His kind heart and yearning for peace sometimes keep the more psycotic of the pilots from going over the edge.
Chang Wufei - Gundam Pilot 05. "Justice Boy", as he's often called in fics (for good reason.. ^^;), is so into integrity, pride, and honor, it can make you sick sometimes. (A lot of ppl don't like him, but I think he's ok.. ^_^ hee) He scorns women, in a way, seeing them as weak. (enter Sally Poe ^_^) He is also the antisocial one, "He Who Fights Alone". He refuses to join the other pilots unless he sees good reason to. He is (obviously) Chinese, from the Dragon Clan.
Kagome -
Kagome is a seemingly normal human girl from modern-day Japan who is abruptly thrown back into the Fuedal age on her 15th birthday. It is suspected from the beginning that she is the reincarnated soul of Kikyo. Although she seems to posses the same courage, she lacks Kikyo's grace (and ability with the bow). In battle, she has a stubborn will and great courage for a human, although - due to manner of demons they fight - the role she plays often enough is that of Inu-Yasha's personal cheerleader (see pic).
Myoga - Myoga is a flea-demon who was loyal to Inu-Yasha's father and currently guards his tomb. He often gives useful knowledge but wrong advise, and runs at the first sign of danger (see pic). His bite can release almost any spell, which seems to be the extent of his power.
Sessho-Maru - Sessho-Maru is Inu-Yasha's half-brother, and a full-blooded demon. At first sight he appears to be a woman (see pic), and indeed most readers (including myself - ^_^;;) don't realize he's actually male until Myoga utters those shocking words - "your brother." Contrary to how many fanfics portray him, Sessho-Maru shows very little to no emotion, and yells very rarely (mostly in battle against Inu-Yasha). Shippo - Shippo is a young kitsune fox-demon who (for the most part) provides comic relief. His magic includes such things as shape-shifting to look like someone else and conjuring things from a leaf. He also has a joyful (and very adorable!) habit of turning himself into a big balloon creature and "chomping" on Inu-Yasha's head when he's bored (see pic). Miroku - Miroku is a lecher (an un-honest man) and a priest. He wears a rosary of beads around his left hand; if he pulls them away he opens a portal to an abyss within his palm (see pic; colored by sess_sama at roman@yyhmail.com ). This abyss is a curse set upon his grandfather (and thus his family) bu a demon called [Noraku]. If he does not find a cure for it, then the abyss will eventually swallow him. Because of this, his first words to almost any woman are usually, "will you bear my child?"
Himura Kenshin - (also known as: Rurouni Kenshin - "Kenshin the Vagabond" - and the Hitokiri Battosai). All in all, Kenshin has to be one of the coolest characters I've ever heard of. There's so many different parts to him, it's an enigma to actually understand. When he was very young, he was known as the Hitokiri Battosai - a killer/assassin/Jack of all Trades who killed hundreds and couldn't be beaten. When he meets up with Kaoru, he is trying (somewhat unsuccessfully) to leave that part of his life behind, and introduces himself as Rurouni Kenshin - the vagabond. He often acts somewhat ditsy and clueless, often appearing with swirly eyes (see pic) when hit, which has coined the nick-name "Kenshin, the swirly-eyed warrior". (another neat tid-bit: when he goes to stay with Kaoru, he is often seen in the rest of the "home-life" scenes doing laundry and such; he's the only one seen doing such things. it's kind of cute ^_^"). However, this facade fades when one of his friends are threatened, and he almost - almost - becomes the Battosai once more. The only thing keeping him from that life completely is the fact that he uses a reversed-blade sword and uses it only to beat people up - not to kill them.
The differences between the Rurouni and the Battosai are remarkable. Actually, there are too many differences to name here, although Amiko-san did point out one interesting fact to me when she introduced me to the Kenshin story: As the Battosai, Kenshin wore his long red hair up high, where-as when he becomes the Rurouni, he wears his hair down low, and some-what ragged.
Takani Megumi - is a doctor who was being forced by the mafia to make opium. She thought she was making it for health purposes, but actually it was being sold as illegal drugs. Kenshin, Sano, and Yahiko all come together (the first time they all three fight together, in conjunction), to help free Megumi from the position she's in. Thankfully (I personally was not fond of Megumi. >_<), she did not stay at the dojo, but instead went to live and work with a fellow doctor in the city once all was said and done.
Tenchi Muyo
Urameshi Yuusuke - was a delinqent who was killed when he unexpectedly risked his life to save a little boy from getting hit by a car. It turned out that the kid wasn't going to die, Yuusuke didn't have to save him, and now the Spirit World (Reikai) doesn't know what to do with him . . . so, they give him a chance to come back to life. After doing a few "missions" to help bring the virtue of his soul back, Yuusuke re-enters his body with the help of Keiko (his love interest). But the story doesn't end there, folks; now he's expected to be a Spirit Detective (Reikai Tantei) for the Spirit World. This includes working with Kuwabara, Kurama, Hiei, and - at times - even Botan. Although he usually fights (and wins) his battles by hand, his weapon of power is the Rei Gun, which is formed by centering his spiritual power at the tip of his finger and "mentally" pulling the trigger (see pic).
Kazuma Kuwabara - was the leader of a gang that attended Yuusuke's school (they represented the school, where Yuusuke was generally a Lone-Ranger type). He always wants to fight Yuusuke to see which is the better (...I put dibs on Yuusuke - what say you Amiko-san?...~Tora). He's kind of on the stupid side, always asking things two or three times, and he has this annoying habit of going into these long speals (ie. "I, Kuwabara Kazuma, shall rid you of this evil demon and shall save the group upon my own..." etc, etc, etc). He's like an annoying pussy-cat, tho .... he kind of grows on ya. ^_^;; He's the only completely human of the group. His weapon of power is the Rei Sword (sometimes called the Spirit Sword), which is created by centering his spiritual energy in his hand to come forth in the shape of a sword (see pic).
Kurama - (also known as Minamino Shuuichi). His first life was lived as a youko ("fox-spirit" or "fox-demon") theif. Known as both the Notorious Lover as well as the Romantic Soldier, Kurama was loosed from his first life by the bullet of a Hunter in the Makai (demon world). His soul fled to the Ningenkai (human world). Fortunately, he was able to find an unborn child who would not have lived, and was re-born to a human mother, thus becoming Shuuichi Minamino. Because the child was originally meant to be a girl, he is more feminine and is definitely a bishounen ("pretty-boy"). In his human form he has long, slightly ruffled red hair and large green eyes; he is also very kind and much more caring. In his youko form he is taller, with much longer silver hair and golden eyes; often he is portrayed as beinga lot more cruel, mischevious, as well as dangerous in his youko form. He can use plants of all sorts as weapons or bid them grow (he often takes twigs or seeds and "saves" them in his hair for use later). However, his primary weapon is a rose that he can summon and turn into a whip. It is (conveniently) called Rose Whip (see pic).
Hiei - is the forbidden child of an Ice Maiden (koorime) and a Fire Demon. As a babe he was outcasted from his home for his birth, and created a life out of being a fierce fighter and a heartless killer. He has a twin sister named Yukina, whom he accepted the Jagan (a third-eye, which is also an extremely powerful weapon) for, so he could find her. Once he found her, however, he made sure that no one but Kurama knew he was her brother; often fanfics portray this hesitance as being shame, or fear of her rejection of him. Kurama is his only friend; Yuusuke he looks to as a reasonable if somewhat annoying partner; Kuwabara he simply hates, can not stand, and constantly gets into arguments with. He extremely fast (so fast, in fact, that his enemies sometimes end up "stabbing" and after-image), and he can summon different levels of fire, as well as use the Jagan. His most dangerous weapon is the Ensats Kokurytha, however - a black-dragon tattoo on his right arm - that, when summoned, can take down half a city or more (see pic). He where's a bandage to hide this marking and "keep it tame" in a way, so it will only come forth when called.
Botan - claims to be the Shinigami (god/ess of Death). Actually, she's the person who leads spirits to the Spirit World after they die, and was the one to help Yuusuke find a way back to life from death. When he took up the status of Spirit Detective, she was given the title of Assitant Detective.
Koenma - the son of the all-powerful Ruler of the Spirit World. He is shone in generally two forms: the Bishounen and the Infant. He is the top of the theoretical chain of command since I don't think he father ever actually shows up. ^_^;;
Genkai - an old woman who takes on Yuusuke and Kuwabara as students and teaches them how to hone, tone, and wield their spiritual powers.
Keiko - is Yuusuke's love interest, who successfully brought him back to life by "breathing" life-force back into his body with a kiss.
Kurata Sana- Sana-chan is child actor extrodinaire, the admiration and adoration of Japanese TV viewers. ^_^ She learned all types of..er, interesting talents at actor school, including bungee jumping, yelling extremely loud, and of course singing and acting. Overly-hyper most of the time, not to mention stubborn and nosey, she wins the heart of almost anyone she meets. She stars in the show "Kodomo no Omocha (Child's Toy)", and it is very popular, but she also does commercials on occassion, thanks to Rei-kun, her manager and "boyfriend". Her courage is undeniable in tight situations, and her friends can always count on her for a laugh or a helping hand. She is the only one that stands up to the class bully Hayama, challenging him and later having the courage to become his friend.
Hayama Akito- Akito is the bully of Sana-chan's class. Using a mysterious photo as blackmail, he makes sure the teachers don't interfere with the pranks his troup of boys do. After Sana confronts him, she discovers that his attitude comes from deep family issues that have shredded his view on his self-worth. Usually speaking only in monotones and acting as though a smile would crack his face, he is an enigmatic boy that Sana is determined to get to the bottom of.
Rei-kun- Sana-chan's manager and 'pimp', Sana found him on the streets one day and brought him home like a little lost puppy, giving him a home and a job. He is fiercely protective of Sana, always running to the rescue and freaking when he thinks Hayama or anybody else seems to be threatening her. He's the one in charge of getting gigs with commercials and movies.
Tsuyoshi- One of Akito's few true friends, Tsuyoshi has a secret crush on Sana, and so somewhat unwillingly helps her to bring a stop to Hayama's reign of teacher torture. Called a "mommy's boy" by his classmates turns out being a mistake, as he can suddenly go rabid and destroy a room when enraged. While Hayama is the one who stops these furious bursts of insanity with a hefty karate chop, he is also the most protective of the boy. He gets angry when people make fun of him, and goes to see him when he's sick or in trouble. While Tsuyoshi views Hayama as a 'rival in love' at first, he never lets that get in between their friendship.
Babbit-
