Lady Kayura was kidnapped during Talpa's raid on the clan of the Ancient. Talpa then used a magic amulet to keep her under his control. Kayura was given extensive training by Talpa and was granted use of the Starlight Swords as her weapon. Kayura first encountered the Ronin Warriors after Cye, Sage, and Kento had been taken prisoner by the Dynasty. Kayura almost defeated Ryo and Rowen except that Anubis (who had assumed the role of the Ancient) had interfered and used his staff to allow Ryo to use the Inferno Armor. Kayura then fought the two free Ronins again, this time in the city. She was once again defeated by the Anubis, because she could not stand the pure light of goodness. After her first two battles with the Ronin Warriors, Kayura began to sense different emotions and lose her loyalty to the Dynasty. However, she was able to suppress these feelings.
