Sun Devil was sent to the Mortal World by Talpa in a comet to find out how powerful the Armor of Inferno was. His fighting skills don't prove to be much without his weapons, which may be a factor in why he wasn't successful in beating the Ronin Warriors.
Sun Devil was just as a mere pawn by Talpa. His poleaxe and darts aren;'t flashy as his whip. The whip Sun Devil has can spilt up into many other whips, which can all extend to far lengths. There is a spike at the end of each whip too, adding on further damage. Sun Devil's special attack cry is the "Tomb of Black Ice". Sun Devil used this to freeze a volcano completely with his black ice, but when he tried to use it on Ryo, it was useless. The power of the Inferno was too great.
