The Saiyan Saga
At the begining of the Saiyan saga a saiyan space pod lands and a saiyan named Radditz comes out, he kills a farmer and goes on to look for Kakorot (Goku) and meets Piccolo. He is about to blast piccolo but senses Goku and goes after him, meanwhile Goku, Gohan, Krillin, Bulma, and Oolong are at Master Roshi's for a get-together, Goku tells everyone that Gohan is his son and they all get shocked. They are about to go inside when Radditz lands. He tells Goku his real name is Kakorot and that he is a saiyan, he also tells him that he was supposed to wipe out the human race, Goku says he is from earth and Radditz gets mad so he takes Gohan and tells Goku to kill 100 humans by the next day. Radditz punches Goku and takes off, a minute after he leaves Piccolo arrives saying that the only way to beat Radditz is to team up.
They pursue and find Radditz, and begin to fight him, Radditz is beating both of them until his scouter acts up and says there is a power level of 710 near him, but fades and he continues to beat Goku and Piccolo, he cuts one of Piccolo's arms off, and is distracted by him and Goku grabs his tail and holds him in place to let Piccolo charge up for his Beam Canon, Radditz convinces Goku to let go of his tail, and hits Goku so hard that he flies about 40 feet away. Piccolo tries his Beam Canon but it fails, and Radditz starts to crush Goku's ribs, Gohan hears his father screaming, gets mad, and blows up Radditz's space pod. He then flies toward Radditz and weakens him. Radditz goes toward Gohan and kicks him away, with Radditz distracted Goku grabs him again and Piccolo charges up for his Special Beam Canon and fires it. It kills both Goku and Radditz.
Piccolo goes over to Radditz and tells him that Goku will be back within a week, Radditz asked how this is possible and Piccolo tells him about the dragon balls, then Radditz tells Piccolo that his scouter is also a voice transmitter and that two other saiyans heard about the dragon balls and that they're coming and that they're much stronger than he is. Meanwhile Goku disappears and Piccolo tells them that Kami, god of the earth, has a plan for Goku. Goku appears at Kami's lookout tower and they go see King Yamma, the judge of the dead to see if they go to Heaven or Hell. Kami askes if Goku can go see King Kai, the strongest king, for training so they'll have a chance at fighting the saiyans. It takes Goku nine months but he finally reaches King Kai's planet.
Back on earth, Krillin, Yaumcha, Tien, Chauzu, and Yajirobi are invited to Kami's tower for special training, Piccolo took Gohan and is training him. On King Kai's planet Goku is given the task to catch Bubbles, King Kai's monkey, King Kai tells Goku that his planet is ten times the gravity of earth. After a few days Goku manages to catch Bubbles, his next task is to hit Gregory, King Kai's Cricket, who is very fast, with a hammer, after a bit Goku hits him too. King Kai teaches Goku two new techniques, the Kaio Ken Attack, and the Spirit Bomb. Piccolo explains to Gohan that he has hidden powers, Gohan says he doesn't have any but Piccolo throws him toward a rock and Gohan blows it up. During the year Piccolo teaches Gohan martial arts and how to shoot energy beams, Goku is rising dramatically in power, and everyone else is training hard at Kami's lookout, a year passes, and Vegeta and Nappa arrive.
Vegeta and Nappa land and humans gather around the space pods to see what happened. Nappa levels a city and they take off toward Piccolo and Gohan. First Krillin arrives, then Vegeta and Nappa, the saiyans take out some seeds, plant them, and put some green water on them, out come Cybermen (power levels of 1,200) and Piccolo, Krillin and Gohan start to fight them. After a small fight with the Cybermen, Yaumcha, Tien, and Chauzu arrive, a Cyberman kills Yaumcha and everyone else continues to fight, then Nappa joins the fight, they beat the Cybermen, but can't beat Nappa, Chauzu self-destructs hoping he would kill Nappa, but Nappa is unharmed. Tien tries to kill Nappa but he does instead. They fight for a bit, then Vegeta tells everyone to stop and wait for Kakorot for three hours, Nappa can't wait that long so he goes and takes out the news reporters camp, then he goes and takes out some of the navy, Nappa come back just as the three hours expire. Nappa continues to beat them when Piccolo senses Goku and tells Nappa he's in trouble.
Vegeta tells Nappa his scouter reads 5,000 and orders Nappa to kill everyone else so Goku won't have any help, Nappa fires a blast at Gohan but Piccolo comes and takes the blast for him and dies, Gohan then fights Nappa for a bit and then Goku arrives. Goku counters everything Nappa does, and Vegeta gets tires of watching so he tells Nappa to stop, Nappa then goes after Krillin and Gohan, Goku does a Kaio Ken attack and paralyzes Nappa, then he throws him over to Vegeta, and Vegeta throws Nappa up and does his Galic Gun on Nappa and kills him. Goku tells Gohan and Krillin to go home, and Goku and Vegeta go to a deserted area and starts to fight. Vegeta is stronger than Goku and is overwhelming Goku, But Goku does a double Kaio Ken attack and starts to beat Vegeta, the fight goes on and comes to a point where Vegeta is powering up for his Galic Gun, and Goku is powering up for a ka-me-ah-me-ah along with a Kaio Ken times 3.
The beams are equal until Goku does a Kaio Ken times 4 and it blasts Vegeta into space, Vegeta comes back down and turns into a Giant Ape (Oozaru) and beats up Goku, Krillin and Gohan hear a blast and start to go back to where Goku is to help him. Vegeta crushes Goku's legs and Krillin and Gohan arrive and try to cut Vegeta's tail off, it ends up that Yajirobe cuts his tail off and Vegeta goes back to being a saiyan, Goku gives Krillin some energy for a Spirit Bomb and Krillin blasts Vegeta with it and Vegeta gets knocked away but comes back and Gohan turns into a Giant Ape and beats Vegeta, Vegeta then calls his space pod to him. Krillin is abut to kill Vegeta with Yajirobe's sword but Goku tells him not to and Vegeta takes off. They bring Goku, Krillin, and Gohan to a hospital to get healed.
