For as long as most people alive can remember, genetic engineering has been a norm in society. At first, the half-breeds were seen as pariahs...but now, they were accepted-by most, that is. There is still a faction that secretly does not accept anything that is not purely human. Those that have been genetically altered have accepted their lot in life and have come to see the positive side of having the abilities of the animal's blood that courses through their veins.
