Note: My first Taito, actually it’s the other way around, Yamachi, this is also a songfic. I should add: Yamato and Tai don’t belong to me, they belong to TOEI Animation, Saban, and whoever created them. Interstate Love Song belongs to STP (Stone Temple Pilots), I like this song. I couldn’t do this with Ken and Daisuke. But Yama is a rock star, so, it makes sense. Lyrics in italics.
Waiting on a Sunday afternoon
For what I read between the lines
Your lies
Feeling like a hand in rusted shame
So do you laugh or cry?
Reply?
I wait by the exit of the club for Yamato. He isn’t himself anymore, this stupid rock stardom of his has changed him. I know what he does after his gigs, he won’t tell me. When I ask him why he’s so late, he tells me his lies.
It’s so disturbing, shameful. I tell him how I feel. He doesn’t even say anything, just says I’m imagining things. Like Hell I’m imagining things.
Leavin' on a southern train
Only yesterday you lied
Promises of what I seemed to be
Only watched the time go by
All of these things you said to me
Yamato is never coming out of that fucking club, leave his gig from the fangirls who don’t know his secret, they’ll never know because I’ll never tell. I get in the car and leave. A fangirl or a band mate will drop him off at our apartment.
And he keeps lying to me, to my face. Yama thinks I don’t care, seems like it though. I never get emotional. As the time goes by, we argue even more. He does his alcohol and drugs, I try to get him to stop. He just calls me horrible things.
Breathing is the hardest thing to do.
With all I've said and
All that's dead for you
You lied-Goodbye.
So hard to do anything. Yamato hears what I say but he doesn’t listen. Never will. Damn Yamato!
He comes home with his excuses of why he’s late again. I tell him I know he’s lying and he shuts up. I pack my stuff and leave.
Leavin' on a southern train
Only yesterday, you lied
Promises of what I seemed to be
Only watched the time go by
All of these things I said to you
Yamato follow me out the door tells me he loves me. I know he’s lying, I can see it in his eyes. Tears are falling along my cheeks. I slap him across the face and leave him for good.
