Hitomi is 15 years old and on the track team at her high school. She performs tarot readings for her friends and herself. She has a pendant that her grandma gave her which she always wears because she says it's good luck. She has a crush on a boy named Amano who is also on the track team. Hitomi's best friend is the track team manager, Yukari. Hitomi begins to have visions of a strange world and people she has never seen before. On the fated evening when she meets Van and gets taken back to his world (go here to read more about this evening) her whole life changes. She soon finds herself meeting new people and even falling in love with Allen Schezar, a Knight Caeli. Her visions, pendant, and tarot readings help Van and Allen through their journey's together, but soon these things begin to cause negative events. Hitomi soon becomes conflicted about her feelings for Allen or Van. She grows tired of being in this world of war and is even sent back to earth at one point. But because she wants to help Van and help save Gaea, she returns to try to convince Van to stop fighting. In the end she says goodbye to Van and Gaea, saying she'll never forget him and she gives him her pendent.
Yukari Uchida
Yukari is Hitomi's best friend and the manager of the track team. She is 15, like Hitomi, and tries to keep her focused on track. She cares deeply for Hitomi and encourages her to tell Amano how she feels about him.
She cares so much that she doesn't even tell Hitomi that she is actually in love with Amano too.
Amano Susumu
Amano is a 17 year old upper classmen on Hitomi's track team. He is a national level sprinter and holds many track records at the school. Because of his father's work he was going to leave to England soon. He shows some affection towards Hitomi and worries about her when she disappears.
Hitomi's Mom
Hitomi's mom is usually only shown talking to Yukari and Amano about Hitomi's disappearance.
Yuri
Yuri is Hitomi's grandma. She plays an important role during Hitomi's time in Gaea. When Yuri was Hitomi's age she was whisked away to Gaea where she met Leon Schezar and fell in love with him. She went to Gaea a couple of times and before she went home for the last time, Leon gave her the pendant that she later gives to Hitomi.
