Ritsu took in Soubi when he was orphaned. He was brutal and strict with Soubi, beating him so he could understand physical pain. Ritsu believes Soubi is his best fighter student. Ritsu is generally cold with people. It is believed that Ritsu was in love with Soubi's mother, even though he claims to have hated her. Ritsu is also suspected of being the one who caused Soubi to lose his cat ears. Ritsu hates Seimei for abusing Soubi.

Nagisa is a part of the school that trains fighters and sacrifices. She created the Zero units and believes them to be the ultimate units in that they feel no pain and can fight longer. She seems to have it out for Soubi, since she sent Zeros Yoji and Natsuo after him, but may have only done it to get to Ritsu, by showing that her Zeros can defeat his prized student Soubi. Nagisa is very harsh on her Zeros, and commands them to do her bidding. She doesn't like sacrifices, because she sees them as weak. Nagisa seems to be in love with Ritsu.

7 is a member of Septimal Moon. Her job is to prove that Seimei faked his own death, to find him, and carry out his execution. She offers information about Seimei's death to Ritsuka, but only if he tells her what he knew about Seimei.

So far 4 is a mysterious person who 7 says was the member of Septimal Moon that knew Seimei best. It is 4's job to find out who killed Seimei and arrest them.
