Princess Emeraude is called the "Pilar of Cephiro". She is a kind person who spends all of her time praying, which supports the world of Cephiro and keeps it from crumbling. In the end of the season it is revealed that nothing is what it seemed with Emeraude and her summoning the Magic Knights.
Master Mage Clef
Clef is a very powerful magician. He is short a carries a big staff. He was the first to meet Hikaru, Umi, and Fuu when they were transported to Cephiro, and he had his doubts about such young children to become Magic Knights. Clef gave them their magic powers and sent them on their way to find Presea so they could get weapons. Soon after the Magic Knights left him, Zagato attacked him and turned him to stone. Clef can only communicate with the Magic Knights through Mokona while he is stone.
Presea
Presea lives in the Forest of Silence. She works making weapons and always had Mokona around to keep her company. When the Magic Knights show up, Presea acts very silly and strange, but when she finds out they need weapons to save Cephiro, she becomes serious and generous in helping the Magic Knights. She loans them each a weapon and sends them with Mokona to find the legendary ore Escudo. When the Magic Knight obtain the Escudo and bring it back to Presea, she begins making them special weapons that work only for them. While she is finishing up the weapons her house comes under attack by one of Ascot's beasts and is buried under a pile of rubble. The Magic Knights try to save Presea, but she dies. The Magic Knights bury Presea and are grateful for the weapons she sacrificed her life to make for them.
Ferio
Ferio is a wandering swordsman who met the Magic Knights one day in the Forest of Silence. He offered to be their body guard in exchange for some food, but the girls didn't trust him and tried to get away, but he just followed and has followed them ever since. Ferio isn't always around the Magic Knights, but he shows up and is usually a big help, or a big burden to them. Ferio fell in love with Fuu and is always flirting with her and saying sweet things to her. He gave her a communicator so they could reach each other whenever they wanted. At first Ferio lied a lot to the girls, but stopped the more they met up with each other. Ferio is very clever and brave. He only wants to save Princess Emeraude and knows that the Magic Knights can.
Mokona
Mokona is a magical creature given to the Magic Knights by Presea. Mokona follows them everywhere on their journey and provides them with everything they need, such as shelter, food, and first aid. Mokona also has many other helpful things, like an air craft/submarine and a map of Cephiro. Mokona also receives messages from Clef, which are projected out of the jewel on it's forehead for the Magic Knights to see.
