Sae is a sophomore at Kitanohashi High School and a new member to the Magic User's Club. She is a klutz, naive, and she still keeps a picture dairy, but she is a very sweet girl. She tries very hard to use magic and doesn't always succeed, but when she does, she finds that she actually has pretty strong powers. She has a stuffed bear named Jeff that she found when she was little. Jeff is no ordinary stuffed animal either. He has magical powers and seems to help Sae with hers sometimes. Sae has a crush on the Magic User's Club's president, Takeo. She trusts him and respects him and will do anything he says. She really looks up to him and good person and a great magician. She always believes his exaggerations and takes them seriously.
Nanaka Nakatomi
Nanaka is Sae's best friend. She is also a sophomore at Kitanohashi High School and a new member to the Magic User's Club. She is really only in the magic club because Sae is, but she also like being in a club with Aburatsubo. She has average magical powers (by that I mean her powers aren't very strong, but she does have an easier time than Sae). She wants Sae to quit the Magic User's Club so she can too, but since Sae wants to stay she stays also. Nanaka has a crush on Aburatsubo and thinks of him often, but she understands his feelings for Takeo.
Takeo Takakura
Takeo is a senior at Kitanohashi High School and the President of the Magic User's Club. He is a skilled magician and a kind person. He will do anything to impress the ladies, especially by saying he'll fight against the Bell. He is always thinking perverted thoughts about girls and gets a nosebleed whenever he thinks these things. He tries to be a good role model for the other members of the Magic User's Club, but he has a crush on Sae.
Ayanojyo Aburatsubo
Aburatsubo is a Senior at Kitanohashi High School and the Vice President of the Magic User's Club. He is involved in many sports and clubs and is a popular guy. He is a skilled magician like Takeo. Aburatsubo is in love with Takeo. Aburatsubo is a very beautiful boy and looks a lot like a woman. He becomes jealous when Takeo focuses on Sae and often picks on her and thinks she's useless.
Akane Aikawa
Akane is a freshman at Kitanohashi High School and a new member in the Magic User's Club. She is can use magic quite easily for a beginner but every spell she casts causes the object to spin. She rarely attends club meetings and when she does she's usually late. She is very well endowed for a freshman and goes out on dates with older guys. She is a sweet girl, but she can be snobby.
