About Helios

This image is a Japanimation representation of the young god, Helios

Helios is the Greek god of the sun. In Greek mythology, Helios rides his chariot with fiery horses through the sky, to decend at night in the west. Helios is represented by the sun because his chariot ride is the sun's light that shines for the gods and mortals.
Helios is usually depicted as a handsome young man with a halo and a billowing cloak. His main symbols are the sun, his chariot, and the metope from the temple of Athena in Hellenistic Ilium. He is the son of Hyperion and Theia. By the Oceanid Perse, he is the father of Aeetes, Circe, and Pasiphae. His other two daughters are Phaethusa and Lampetia. His only son Phaeton was once allowed to ride his chariot across the sky and died because he could not control the horses.
Helios currently resides in Arizona where he runs his buisness, "Helios' Solar Powered Wonders!"
