What Is Animezing Video Club?
Animezing was established in May of 2000 by a small group of Otaku (anime fans), animezing is a Saint John based club open to anyone over the age of 16 (younger with parental consent) and is mostly advertised by work of mouth, this enables us to keep a warm and inviting atmosphere focused on the members rather than having a movie house feel.
Animezing membership has bloomed from the original 10 members to 25 - 40 on any given meeting, as a group we don't discriminate. Our members range in ages from 16 - 27 on average and we have members that are mentally challenged, French, African Canadian, etc. Animezing gives everyone a chance to make lifelong friends, we have had visitors from Fredericton, Halifax, Ontario, Maine, Florida, China and Japan, most of whom had such a great time that they still keep in contact with us through e-mail.
Why is Animezing different than other anime clubs?
We try to focus more on the members of the group rather than just on the anime, the club was originally designed to give fans a chance to meet other people with similar interests and then to give them a chance to see animes that they don't have in their possession.
Other than watching anime we also;
Have group outings, Christmas parties, Member appreciation nights etc.
Play games that encourage the members to interact and take part.
Introduce ideas and beliefs of other cultures.
Introduce products from China and Japan and other countries that produce anime, we have brought in examples of Books, Music and Foods etc from other cultures.
We encourage our members to display their talents, drawing, writing, singing etc by having intermissions during the night.
Rules, Regulations, and other official stuff.
Their is an entry fee to the animezing meetings, the prices are subject to change, if we can find a cheaper place to hold the meetings the door fee will change to reflect this

The money is used to keep the club running, pay for our special events and it helps to supply the club with anime, buying more of the current anime released as well as stock up our collection of popular anime titles.
Rules of conduct:
- No Alcoholic beverages on animezing site
- No Smoking on animezing site
- No one under the influence of any kind of Illicit drug will be allowed to enter
- No Horse Play, anyone acting rough will be given a warning or asked to leave.
- Proper attire required (Shirts, Shoes, Skirts, Pants etc.)
- If you have something to say, Whisper, and please keep your negative comments to yourself, if you have a major complaint, comment, or question you can fill out a sheet and put it in the box by the door or contact one of us before or after the meeting or via our web page.
- No excessive Public Displays of Affection.
- Respect everyone's rights, and their feelings. Some people will find the subject matter offensive .
Punishment is given depending on the rule and the severity of the break, ranging from a time out (lasting one show) to permanent banishment.
