Magic Knights Rayearth

Magic Knight Rayearth is most of all fantasy, with no reality facts in it. It is a kind of medieval type of series, but
with a diverse plot because everything in that world is determined by will so it is a
world sustained with magic. It is actually my favorite series because of its design and plot. The design, as I said,
is a Kind of medieval type but very fantastic with lots of orbs and fantastic thing that are not so common in REAL medieval anime like "The
Record Loddoss Wars".
I Must say that the characters of Hikaru, Fuu and Umi are very good done. All of the enemies that come in the series are
cool, specially Lafarga, because he is the only one that doesn't use magic but is still strong enough to step into the way of the magic
knight. A character that brings comedy and make me laugh a lot is Mokona who is kind of a Pocket Monster that guide the girls through Cefiro. Overall the Characters are very good and the voices in
Japanese go with the character personality.
The animation is very good, it isn't a complex one but it is one that I must say
impresses me, specially at the end, when they use a kind of Mecha, and even
better than that, the magic has a very good animation and great movement and color
effect. Other thing that is cool is Cefiro itself. It is a world like Neverland a world where everyone would like to be with Griffins, Flying fishes, Rocks floating in the air, an undersea palace, a crystal fortress in the sky and other things that are well design by the
creators (Clamp).
Other things that I like about the series is that it is changing all the
time, for example their weapons grow, their armors also GROW and they keep changing and learning
until they reach the level of real Magic knights. Other wonderful things are the
Mechas, the use each one of them combined with the element of the owner is great, they look omnipotent as they are supposed to be.
The Plot is very well done because of the ignorance of the girls towards Cefiro's Nature of being
determined by will. And of course in this anime there is romance, well all of it is and love, specially with the chosen girls that
I mentioned earlier. I must say that the plot turn out to be a great one at the end,
but that's already too much information.
Overall the series is good but I must say that sometimes it is stupid talking about friendship and love and will and things that bore the viewer. Another thing is that it is
too short (20 or 25 episodes), I think they could have elaborated it very well for a long
series, although there is a second series (Rayearth 2), and an OVA called Rayearth
which are both very good.
I will give the series a 9.
