Akiko
Akiko is a school friend of Momiji's from
Izumo. She has known Momiji most of her life and knows that she has been
performing purification rituals much in the same way a miko might.
Unlike Momiji, Akiko is familiar with the legend of the Kushinada.
After all, she too has lived in Izumo all her life. But what she doesn't
know about is Momiji's destiny as the Kushinada.
Akiko is only a minor character in Blue Seed. But it
is through her eyes, that we see how much Momiji has changed as a result of
taking on the responsibilities of the Kushinada when Momiji returns to Izumo
in search of the Amano Iwatto in order to stop Lord Susano-oh.
