I'm Fired Up! I'll Do It! Because
I'm The Kushinada!
Episode 7 begins with
the kidnapping of a little girl named Yukiko. The Aragami have taken her
and their demands for her return are for the government to release to the
public, the production method for the special ceramic used in the Kushinada
Project. Momiji goes with the other members of the TAC to Yukiko's house
and learns that the Kushinada Project was started years ago when her sister,
Kaede was just a child.
They ran many tests on Kaede and discovered that her power
could be stored inside a special ceramic. The TAC hoped to be able to
use this new ceramic as a weapon, but the only problem was that the ceramic
could also be used by the Aragami to protect themselves from the
Kushinada. Then some of the ceramic was stolen and the project was
stopped.
Momiji is upset that the Aragami would use a little girl to
get to her, and she vows to rescue Yukiko. She visits all the old
members of the team assigned to the Kushinada Project who are no longer with
the TAC and uses her mitama, hoping to find the culprit responsible for
Yukiko's kidnapping. She is unsuccessful and in the process, sprains her
ankle. She feels very badly, but in the usual 'I won't give up' Momiji
style, she trudges onward, and arrives at Congressman Miahara's residence,
where her mitama goes off.
They are all rather puzzled, since Momiji had met the
Congressman earlier and hadn't detected anything, but they check it out
anyway. One of Miahara's assistants transforms and Kome, Sugishita and
Takeuchi take off after him. Momiji is ordered to go home and rest
because of her sprained ankle, but she doesn't stay there, choosing instead to
go back to Miahara's residence on her own. Once there, she confronts the
Congressman, who is indeed the main Aragami and he captures her.
Momiji wakes up in an amusement park with Yukiko, in the
tower of a castle and tries to escape by the window. One of Miahara's
Aragami assistants catches her and stops her, throwing her through a window in
the process. As she lands, she calls Kusanagi's name, and what do you
know.... Kusanagi shows up! While he's fighting the Congressman, he
demands to know what she's doing there and then tells Momiji that he'd been
following Miahara until he led Kusanagi to the amusement park. The TAC
also shows up and reveal that Momiji had been wearing a tracking beacon that
led them to the park.
Kusanagi and the TAC dispatch the remaining Aragami
and Yukiko takes a ride on a carousel while Kusanagi, Momiji and the rest of
the TAC members watch. The episode ends with Sugishita teasing Momiji
about Kusanagi and her being a princess and prince, a fact that Momiji
vehemently denies...
