Chapter 6: A Fight to the Finish!

Morning finally came on Planet Vegeta. In the house of Kakarrotto, everyone was wide awake and completely silent. Yamcha sat in the corner of the living room in complete silence.  Krillin took a look at him and knew that he was back to his old self before Bulma appeared in his like once again. Tomito stood beside his mother, who's face was filled with worry. Kakarrotto had already left for the castle and Tyler sat on the other side of the living room, staring aimlessly out the window. He didn't look angry, unlike Yamcha, but Tyler hid his emotions well at times. But, he was more worried than anything. Trunks would surely kill him today if he used his Super Saiyajin powers.

---------------------------------

Meanwhile, Kakarrotto was at the castle, before King Vegeta who had his usual arrogant expression on his face. He looked at Kakarrotto and chuckled, "I surely hope, for your sake, that your son's behavior doesn't reflect your own personal feelings. I would hate to have to execute one of my best men."

Another soldier stepped in, "Pardon my intrusion, sire! The preparations for the tournament are ready for the fight between the two combatants."

Vegeta smiled with a satisfied smirk, "Excellent. Well done. But unfortunately, interrupting me is an act punishable by death. You are relieved, lowly soldier."

    "But, my lord..!"

Vegeta exclaimed, "You are the weakest link. Good-bye!"

The King unleashed a ki blast which slowly melted away the soldier's flesh. Steam rose from bubbling flesh as his body was reduced to bones lying in a small, pink sea of blood and flesh mixed together. Vegeta narrowed his eyes at Kakarrotto and said, "I hope you've learned a valuable lesson from that. Now, you will watch the fight today. Watch as your renegade son dies by the hands of the second most powerful warrior alive!"

----------------------------------

Meanwhile, in the royal dungeon, Bulma and Bete were chained to a wall, side by side. They both were handled quiet roughly while being brought to this dark, cold room.

Bete asked,  "You said your name was Bulma, right?"

    "Yes." Bulma replied.

"Aren't you scared? Y'know, about the tournament and the king and prince?" asked the femal saiyajin.

Bulma shook her head,  "Well, no. Not really. How about you?"

Bete smiled sadly,  "I'm completely petrified. I'm so scared right now that I can't stop shaking. I feel so helpless."

"But, why?" Bulma raised her eyebrow.

"Tyler....he's gonna try to fight Trunks....a super saiyajin. Nobody can win a fight like that. I want to believe in him, but it seems so impossible that he'll win. I don't want to lose him." Bete lowered her head.

    "You love him?" asked Bulma.

Bete sniffled a little, "I....don't know. I just want to always have him with me....I feel so close to him."

Bulma smiled,  "It sounds like love to me! Do you want to know why I'm not afraid?"

    Bete nodded, "Sure."

"Because, I believe in Yamcha. He made a promise to me years ago that he would never let me down no matter what. I believe in that and I'll never lose my faith in him. Maybe you should have more faith in Tyler. His father told me that Tyler never focused much because he never have a reason for life. But, that look in his eyes when we were taken away....I think that you've become that reason." Bulma smiled a little wider at Bete.

Bete lifted her head toward Bulma, "You really think so?"

Bulma nodded, "I do. I'm sure he will come for you, just as I'm sure Yamcha will come or me."

"Thank you, Bulma." Bete smiled with gratitude.

Suddenly, there was scraping against the wall. Bulma and Bete gasped and looked forward to the wall in which the scraping came from. Then, then a hole in the wall broke open, causing a group of women to come tumbling out, falling all over one another in a messy dog pile.

"Ow!"

"Get yer hand off my butt!"

"Hey, watch those hands!"

"You're shtanding on my facsh...."

"Get your buffalo hips off my back!"

Bete and Bulma sweat dropped at the scene. But then, Bulma realized who the women were and smiled. Bete was still utterly confused and somewhat creeped out.

"Hey, Chichi!" Bulma exclaimed happily, "How'd you guys find me?"

"Your good friend Kakarrotto came by and filled us in. AND he gave us a handy blueprint of the castle, which made this a simple operation. Anyway, let's get you both outta here!"

Suddenly the door swung open and there stood Nappa. He raised an eyebrow, then menacingly narrowed his eyes at everyone in the room, "Pipe down! Huh? What the hell is all this? What do you think you're doing?!"

Bete sighed and said sarcastically, "The joy of meeting new people....."

-----------------------------------------------------

Tyler sighed as he stood up and made his way to the door.

"Where are you going at a time like this?" His worrying mother asked.

Tyler replied, "I'm just getting some fresh air. I'll be back before the match."

With that, he left. But, this only increased the look of worry on his poor mother's face. She didn't know what to expect from all of the trouble that seemed to rise from the woodwork. Krillin walked toward the door also and said, "I'm gonna go on ahead with him. You'll be safe here with Yamcha. See ya!"

Krillin exited from the house and took off after Tyler. Things were becoming more and more complicated for most of the group. The only person who predicted the outcome was Kakarrotto. Planning and preparation was his specialty, which is why he served so close to the king. Kakarrotto had a plan in his head which he never told a soul about, not even his own wife. The only clue that he even had a plan was the smirk that he had on his face all morning.

Krillin finally caught up to Tyler in mid flight.

   "Hey! Wait up!"

   "What is it?"

"I want you to come with me."

   "Where?"

"Just come on, already. We don't exactly have a lot of time on our hands."

   "Okay, fine....."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

As Bete and Bulma were once again alone in the holding cell, still chained to the wall, the door opened once again. There stood Trunks with a smug look on his face. His eyes were cold as ice, just as his smile was.

He flashed an amused grin as he looked at Bete from head to toe, "It looks like Ms. Attitude finally has nothing to say. I told you that you'd be mine, didn't I?"

Bete sneered, "Go to hell, you son of a bitch!"

Bulma frowned, "Hey, don't call me names!"

Bete gasped as she looked at Bulma,"What?! You mean, he's..?!"

Trunks sneered, "Don't remind me. I'm ashamed of being born from such a weak woman and an earthling at that. She disgusts me. Not worthy of father's attention. Nothing more than his cheap thrill."

Bulma gasped with a frowning face as she held back a river of tears, "How can you say such a thing?! I'm still your mother!"

Trunks smirked, "Indeed. Also, the mother of all cheap thrills. It's a mystery why father even bothers to keep you around."

Bete looked at Bulma, then back at Trunks and smirk, "So, you're saying that you're a result of your father's cheap thrill?"

Trunks gritted his teeth at the saiyajin girl, "What?!"

Bete slyly smiled at him, "I'm thinkin' that he got plastered with wine one night and got her pregnant by accident. I bet he didn't even wanna have ya at the time. He just kept you as a convenience to the kingdom. You're nothing but his pawn, a play thing."

Trunks grabbed her by her throat and sneered, "You bitch! Don't you EVER say that again! My father holds the utmost respect for me! And don't ever dare to say that he doesn't, you wench!"

Bete smiled, despite the prince's hand around her throat, "If you really believed what you said, then why are you so upset, Prince Accident?"

Trunks slapped her right across her face. Blood trickled from the side of her mouth. Trunks gritted his teeth with a groan of frustration and slapped her again. Then, he continued to slap her, screaming and swearing about how he wasn't a mistake. Bete took the punishment until Trunk wore himself out, half way emotionally crazed by her words.

Bete smirked, "What's wrong, psycho boy? Did I hurt your feelings? Don't worry. People make mistakes all the time, Trunks. After all, that's how YOU got here, right?"

Bulma shouted, "Bete, that's enough! Please...don't say anymore. Trunks, you don't have to obey your father. You have a choice. You can do what you want to do with your life. Even though you were raised to hate me, I still love you like my son. Because that's what you are. No matter what, we'll always be mother and son. And I'll always love you."

Trunks turned his back with his voice cracking, "Shut up! I don't need your sympathy! Just you watch....I'll kill all your friends before your eyes, starting with that bastard, Tyler! And then I'll kill his family and friends! I'll let you both watch the carnage before you die, then kill you both with my bare hands!"

Trunks stormed out of the room in haste and rage with the words of his father in his mind, "If you bring shame to me and get defeated again, I will cast you out and disown you as an heir and as a son. Because you are my son, I'll consider letting you live if you lose."

Trunks shook off his thoughts and marched angrily through the palace and thought to himself, "Tyler...this is all your fault! My father speaks of disowning me because of you! I'll make you pay! You will die today at the tournament! I'll show you the true power of a super saiyajin from the very beginning of the match!"

---------------------------------------------

Meanwhile, at a clearing full of grass. Krillin and Tyler made their landing. Tyler looked around and wondered why Krillin needed to talk to him. So, he inquired, "So, Krillin. What did you wanna talk about?"

"Your temper." replied the short, bald warrior.

"I don't have a temper!" Tyler shouted.

Krillin only shook his head, "That's what I mean. You're a strong guy, but control isn't your strong point. You have to learn to calm down in the heat of the moment or you'll get taken advantage of. Anger erases rational thinking. If you're angry, you can't come up with any clever tactics and you're sure to lose. Know what I'm saying?"

Tyler sighed in an irritated fashion, "Don't act like you know me. You know nothing about me, so you've got no right to judge. I'm fine the way I am. I don't need you tellin' me what I need to do, okay?"

Krillin groaned, "You're so thick headed. You don't listen, which is why you might end up dead today. I guess you don't wanna save that girl, after all. I'll just be going then."

Tyler gritted his teeth and bellowed, "You don't know anything! I care for her more than anything else!"

Krillin spat back, "Then act like it and stop being so damn stubborn! You've got 2 choices. Continue to ignore what people are trying to tell you and end up dead, or listen up and win against Trunks. Choose!"

Tyler couldn't really say anything after that. He only sighed, defeated by Krillin's debate. He sat down on the grass, a little reluctant to listen, but he accepted, "Fine....go ahead."

Krillin folded his arms and smiled, "Good. Now, we're getting somewhere."

-------------------------------------------

*hours later*

The entire kingdom showed up at the coliseum for this event. Everyone knew about the rivalry between Trunks and Tyler and also they new that they were evenly match aside from Trunks being a super saiyajin. The sounds of Trumpet fanfares blared, mixed with a roaring crowd, awaiting this big battle. In the crowed, Reiko, Tomito and Yamcha waited as well. Tyler and Krillin were still gone and Kakarrotto was at his post, by the king who gloated about how Trunks was going to pulverize Tyler. Kakarrotto smirked inwardly as if he already knew the outcome. At least he was pretty sure...or was he?

Tomito looked up at his mother and said, "Big brother isn't back yet. D'ya think something bad happened to him?"

Reiko looked down at her youngest child and said, "Let's not even consider that idea, honey. Tyler is coming. I know he is."

Yamcha replied, still in his silent anger mode, "Yeah. He's not the type to run away. I think I sense his power level and Krillin's coming up now.

Meanwhile Trunks waited in the center of the coliseum for his opponent. A smirk grew on his face as he sensed his ki level closing in. In less than a minute, Tyler came flying in, landing before Trunks with a serious look on his face. Krillin slipped into the crowd and met with Reiko and the others. Tyler's eyes pierced into Trunks' with malice.

Trunks smiled as his spoke, "So, I see it took you quite a while to get some courage before the fight. I'll excuse your tardiness."

Tyler smirked, "You got it wrong. The only reason I'm late is because I was praying for your pathetic soul. I'm gonna set it free from your body today."

Trunks sneered, "We'll see who's going to die today, Tyler....and I can guarantee, I won't be the one!"

Trunks powered up his body until his white aura turned gold. His muscles strained as his purple, stringy hair began to rise and spike up into golden locks. His blue eyes slowly turned green as his power aura exploded around him, leaving nothing but broken gravel under his feet. He smirked at Tyler as he could see no fear on his face, but his body showed slight signs. The beads of sweat on the side of Tyler's face showed Trunks that he was intimidated.

"Something wrong, Tyler? You look shaken."

"Wouldn't you if another guy kept giving YOU queer looking smiles for five minutes straight?"

"WHAT WAS THAT?! I'LL KILL YOU!!!!"

Trunks flew at Tyler and laid a hay maker right across his face, causing Tyler to fly back through the wall of the coliseum. Tyler crashed through the wall, creating a cloud of dust. The crowd roared with a mixture of cheers and boos as Tyler slowly got up only to see Trunks floating right above him with an explosive ball of ki waiting for him. Tyler tried to move at his fastest speed and escape, but Trunks was way too fast in his super form. He simply grabbed Tyler by the shirt, flung him into the air and shot the ki blast at him. When it impacted on Tyler in mid air, it was so explosive that describing it as the 4th of July would be the understatement of the century.

"AHHHHHH!" Tyler screamed as he plummeted to the ground with burns all over his body. His entire body was glowing with pain as he crashed back into the ground.

Trunks folded his arms and smiled with delight, "Ha. Is this all of your power? I guess it's my own fault for expecting more from you. But, I'll show you a little mercy. I'll just end it here. Guards!"

Within a minutes, two swords were throw down into the battle field, before the two saiyajin warriors. Trunks smirked as his picked up one of the swords, "Since you seem to like pretending to be human, we will fight like humans do. Maybe you'll be able to at least humor me this time."

Tyler gritted his teeth as he reached for the remaining sword and grasped it.

"Damn...I can't lose now....Bete needs me....I can't lose her to him. Get up, you idiot!"

Lightning struck as the booming thunder crashed, above the arena as a teenager with spiked, black hair and standard saiyajin armor rolled on the ground evasively from the blade of a falling sword. He rolled onto his feet with cracks in the armor and a fresh cut the went across his face in a slant from the left side of his forehead to the right side of his chin. The view in his left eye was red from the blood running down from the cut. He breathed heavily as he looked at his opponent. The half breed S.O.B. of a prince. Though he was also a half breed himself, the mighty lavender hair prince had the ability to turn super.

"Poor lower class warrior," said the prince, "you have no chance of survival. Sacrifice yourself and receive a quick death!"

The boy shook his head, "Screw you, Trunks...."

The prince exclaimed, "You DARE address me as anything but 'Your highness'?! Perish, lower warrior!"

Trunks thrusted his sword into the chest of the 'lower class' warrior. Vegeta stood up at his special seat in the arena, applauding his son's victory.

Tyler's pain stricken scream echoed through the arena. He didn't even see the attack coming. Along with his scream, the sound of Bete's sobbing and screaming could be hear from the crowd. She fell to her knees, feeling like half of her was just ripped away in just that split second. Bulma, Krillin, Yamcha, Tomito, and Reiko all watched in shocking horror as Tyler laid there in a pool of his own blood, with a sword sticking out of his chest. Kakarrotto gritted his teeth and said, "My son...."

Vegeta chuckled, "Well, not to worry. You can always have more, Kakarrotto. Just try and discipline the next child more, that's all."

    "Vegeta....you.....bastard.....you....fucking BASTARD!!!!!"

Vegeta's eyes widened as he felt Kakarrotto's power level sky rocket drastically. He turned around just in time to see a full blown super saiyajin glaring at him. The pupils of his eyes had vanished, showing that he was too enraged to do anything but kill Vegeta.

The king only smirked, "You dare to challenge me?" Vegeta transformed as well, but he still remained calm and smug. Then the fight began. They exchanged blows in mid air as the crowded roared for more violence. Trunks, with his face and clothes stained with Tyler's blood, attacked Kakarrotto also, along with Vegeta. Krillin and Yamcha, also jumped in, but proved to be no match for super Saiyajin strength.

Bete sobbed, calling Tyler's name, hoping he would get up to answer her. She needed him to tell her that everything would be fine. She needed his words, his smile.....she needed to feel his arms around her. Most of all, she needed his love. But, all of that was lost because of Trunks. The greedy prince who had to take away from others, despite his wealth. Her fists clenched to the point of drawing blood from her own palms. As he blood dripped onto the floor, a loch of her hair changed blonde, then went back to normal. Then, all of her hair began to do the same. From blonde to normal, back and forth. Then, her eyes turned emerald as she let out a story telling scream. A scream containing love, hate, sadness, and anger. All of this emotions collided at once, making her into a super saiyajin.

Bete saw red. All she could picture was Trunks' death, which replayed in her mind until it could be replaced with the memory of his actual death. She was about to take off, but a pair of arms grabbed her from behind.

"Let me go! Get off or DIE!!!"

"Calm down, you don't have any control yet," shouted Akira.

Bete's reply was, "Trunks will die! Let go, unless you want to join him!"

Akira said, "Do you think it'll bring him back? Look at what's happening now!"

As things went on, Kakarrotto was badly beaten and Krillin an Yamcha laid on the ground, motionless. Tomito was being held back by Reiko. He wanted to fight for revenge, but she refused.

Bete started crying again. Her golden aura faded away as she cried into Akira's arms. Akira only sighed and said, "This ain't gonna end well. Without Kakarrotto and Tyler around, that only leaves us two and his little bro..."

Bete shouted, "We have to help him!"

"Stay back," said Kakarrotto, "You kids stay out of it! I won't allow anyone else to be involved." Kakarrotto began to violently cough up his own blood as Vegeta and Trunks closed in.

Reiko shouted, "Kakarrotto, stop! Just surrender to them, please!!!"

Kakarrotto said silently, "Forgive me, Reiko. Kamikaze!!!!!"

Trunks and Vegeta both attack Kakarrotto at the same time of the explosion, causing smoke to fill the sky. Everyone looked in awe as the smoke cleared. Kakarrotto was gone....but Vegeta and his son remained, without a scratch."

Reiko's eyes widened at the sight. At that point, she simply fainted.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

*2 years later*

"Bulma?"

"Yes, Bete?"

"Have you ever lost hope before?"

"In what?"

"Everything. Have you ever thought that life isn't worth living anymore?"

"Please don't speak like that, Bete."

"Look at me, Bulma! I've been defiled so often that I stopped caring. Abused mentally, physically and emotionally. You've been my friend through it all. My very best friend....please....do me this last favor."

"Bete, no! Don't even think it!"

"Kill me. It's okay....Tyler will be waiting for me. I want to join him in heaven...please Bulma....send me to him! I need to see him again....please!"

"I can't...don't make me do such a thing. I miss Yamcha, too. But, I will live on. That would make him happy. Don't you think that Tyler would be happier if you stayed alive?"

"Shut up! Shut up! I don't want to hear it anymore! If you're really my friend, prove it and put me out of my misery! I don't want to live anymore!"

"Bete...."

Just then, the dungeon door opened. There stood Trunks with that smug look on his face, "Hello, my pet. Are you feeling well?"

Bete just looked away with a frightened look in her eyes. These past two years taught her to fear Trunks in the worst way. She had seen hell. She had been locked in eternal hell ever since Tyler was killed. As Trunks took her away, she prayed that she would die before getting to the royal bedroom. Her prayers, once again, went unanswered.

As she was thrown onto the bed, she closed her eyes, letting the tears fall from them. Her spirit was broken beyond repair as she easily submitted to Trunks' lustful desires.

When the session came to an end, she mentally cried to Tyler's spirit to save her, but she heard nothing but the sounds of Trunks' grunts and his body penetrating her own without mercy or tenderness. This was how her life would end. No choices, but the ones made for her. Nothing more than a sex object for the royal prince. And soon, she would be having his child.
-------------------------------------

Tomito walked toward the door with a sword strapped to his back. Reiko asked, "Tomito, where are you going?"

Tomito then said, "Mother....I want you to pack your things now. We should go."

"Go where?"

"To the Planet Earth. Krillin-san  told me once about his masters Roshi and Son Gohan. Also, there's a mystical Dragon that can grant wishes there. Maybe we can go there and wish everyone back to life. Also, we can live peacefully while I train to become stronger. After that, we'll come back and put the king's lights out!"

"Tomito....the wishes can't be granted. It only works if the person has been dead for a year or less. Please just calm down. There's nothing we can do now. We can no longer fight them. Just...let it go."

"But, mother-!"

"No. I won't hear of it. You're all I have left. I don't know what I'd do if you went and got yourself killed."

"Okay, mother. I'm sorry. It's just that I miss them all so much."

"Yes. I know. So do I. I feel bad for Akira."

"W-what happened to him?"

"He was found by soldiers.......and they....beat him to death after making him watch them kill his father....."

"What?!"

"They said that it was to set an example for anyone else. This is why you should forget about revenge."

Tomito nodded and walked back to his room. He shut the door behind him and laid on his bed, thinking. After everything everyone went through, it ended like this. What was it all for? All that effort for nothing. It just proved one thing. On this planet, justice was merely a fantasy of an ideal.

------------------------------------------------------

Meanwhile, in the dungeon, Bulma, still bonded by chains, stared at the floor. Memories of Yamcha, Kakarrotto, and Tyler and Krillin raced through her mind. A tear fell from her eyes. She held back on crying as Kakarrotto's words played inside her head.

"You shouldn't cry in a place like this."

"Just because you aren't a saiyajin, doesn't mean you can't be one of the strongest."

Bulma silently nodded in agreement to Kakarrotto's lingering words. She sniffled once moreas her tears no longer fell. She slowly looked up from the floor. She was the iron door slowly open to reveal the mighty king himself walking toward her.

Vegeta smirked cruely as her roughly grbbed her by the chin, "You WILL give me another child, woman."

Bulma looked into his menacing eyes with her body trembling with fear. The frightened look in her eyes turned into a courageous one. She then realized, she wasn't trembling with fear. It was with joy. She may have still been in chains, but her spirit was free from depression. HEr eyes narrowed at Vegeta, which confused the king.

Bulma then finally say what she had been so afraid to say in the past.

"No."

Vegeta's eyes widened, "What did you say to me?!" He then slapped her across the face, leaving a bruise.

Bulma turned back around and looked him in the eyes again, "I said NO!"

Vegeta punched her in the gut and then grabbed her by the throat, "IF you EVER talk to me like that again, YOU DIE!"

As Bulma gasped for air she shut her eyes tightly, "I......I am....."

Vegeta sneered, "Silence!"

Bulma's voice echoed through the place as she forced Vegeta's hand away from her throat, "I am.....I am.......I am strong!"
