Feature- Controlling Nintendo
Nintendo has always been known to be super-innovative and what better
example of this than their controllers?
NES
The Nes used Nintendo's D-pad and broke a lot of boundaries in it's
design. Of course it was the best control pad around at the time and was
perfect for playing Nes games! The pad was made up of the D-pad (soon to
become standard), a start and select button and of course two lettered
buttons! Pretty much everything on this controller is now industry standard.
SNES
Again the snes control pad was the best in the market for it's time!
The Snes pad was light, ergonomical and packed with features! The Snes
pad was a dream come true for fighter fans because of it's layout and amount
of buttons. The Snes pad featured the, again now standard shoulder buttons
and had the now famous blue, red, green and yellow buttons.
N64
"How am I supposed to hold this crazy thing?" was a question that escaped
most gamers mouths, upon site of this thing. The pad has three "handles"
but unfortunately some gamers seem(ed) to think that you had to hold all
three at the same time (oh dear!). A lot of comments were made such as,
"I need three hands to hold this crazy contraption (again -Oh dear!). In
reality the N64 controller was actually easy to hold and delivered before
impossible (on a console)control over your character! The analogue controller
hadn't before been used on a console controller and has yet again reset
the standard. The N64 was also the first to use "rumble paks" and to come
in such a cool variety of colours!
Gamecube
I cannot wait to hold this ergonomic beauty! The buttons are positioned
so it is apparently easier to access the desired button and features an
analogue camera stick! Again a d-pad is included as well as shoulder buttons
and four buttons. The controller has two "handles" and some features have
yet to be announced!
