64-bit dust eating in all it's glory!!!

TGR is a frantic on and off-road race-fest over a variety of well desgned tracks. if you didn't guess from that little intro, I really do like this game! TGR really does offer a great racing experiance, even though it is a first generation title. the great thing for me about rallys are the awesome power slides around the corners (well where else would you do them?) - this game really does capture the feel of the massive power slides in rally racing!!! Throwing the back of the car around the corner with the front a few inches away from the barrier has never ( in a game ) been so good! Another great thing about TGR's tracks are how bumpy they are in places, resulting in your car being flung into a hill if you go too fast or losing too much time if you go to slow. The best thing about this game is how tense the racing action is as one bump could stuff your race, so you are flying through the tracks at full concentration and trying to shave seconds off the corners - THIS GAME IS A BLAST!!!!

The graphics in TGR are brigh and deliver enough realism for the game to be immersive enough to keep you at it. The track textures can be rather bland and "washed out" but you barly have time to notice as you fly around the track fighting with the control stick and the terrain barely missing a tree and then stomping on the accelerator. There are virtually no bad buzz words in this game with pop up only occuring in very,very (as 1 little barrier on one of the tracks) unlike racing games on a certain consol beggining with ps and ending with x and also I like adding a u in the middle (thats the playstation for any playstation fans reading this). Bi-liniear filtering also keeps any textures from warping (although check my "cheats" section for a code to turn it off and make it look grainy like a psx game) and all the tracks look quite differant from each other!

Bad things???Well the sound isn't all that good apart from the engine noises (The most important part!!!) and there is a little bug so sometimes cars can get stuck on a hill if they go off the track, although this hasn't happened to me since I 1st bought the game! Begginers may find the controls very hard to come to grips with (this is rally after all) as the cars slide quite a lot (it is dirt after all)!

Best lap 0'00'00? Damn I'm fast! The in-car view is my fav, as allways! I'd buy this for a dollar!
