Super Mario Brothers 3 Review
This is argueable the best game on the Nes!!!
SM3 has more secrets in it than all the other SM games on the Nes put
together and stirred for 20-minutes! There are heaps of secret places all
over the many levels and some levels also have alternate routes. This has
to be the about the biggest platformer on the Nes (and there are a whole
heap of them). The levels in this game include all the usuals for Mario's
outings,Fire levels,ice levels,sand levels and water levels.
Gameplay is pretty much the same as SM1 (Or any other 2d Mario platformer)
-Jumping on enemys heads to kill them and all that jazz. The before mentioned
secret bits add a lot of depth to the allredy winning formula. Another
great thing about SM3 are all of the power ups available and all the new
enemys. One power up I was able to get my dirty mitts on was a gaint wind-up
boot that you can hop about in - Great!!!
Graphic wise this is light-years ahead of the other Nes SM games and
features great cartoony graphics that are as smooth as anything. The sound
is also awesome and includes remixes of all your fav jingles!!!
Conclusion- The game isn't all that hard but boy
is it big!!! More secret places than something with heaps of secret places
ie a lot!!!!
