Snake Rattle n' Roll Review

This is the game that made me the Rare fan that I am today!!!This mightn't be one of the games that made them famous (Goldeneye,Donkey Kong,Killer Instinct) but it sure is made with the well known Rare quality that makes us such Rare fans.

The first thing I noticed about this game was the graphics - They are amazing for an 8-bit system!!! Rare are well known for getting the best graphics on the 64 but some of their games on other systems push the graphics hardware just as much, this is one of them!!!I had to keep reminding myself that I wasn't playing a Super Nintendo game. The next thing my friends noticed but I never did was that the controls take some getting used to because if the isometric nature of this game. This isometric viewpoint can be found in quite a few 8-bit Rare games and is really good!

SRnR is all about eating (no wonder it's so tasteful-excuse my bad pun).To pass a level you have to eat Nibbly Pibbly's and then weigh yourself in at the scales to see if you are heavy enough to open the door.Life does offer Rattle and Roll (the snakes you use) a few obsticles to make the levels more difficult though, such as renagade toilet seats, mad records and Big Foot (who is just that!).This game is wacky and all the better for it!!!

How does the game play? FABUMONLISTCALLICAN!!!!!!!Great control,Eye pleasing levels, great level design, some puzzly bits, some secret bits and far-out jumps!!!This game is super slick and super addictive.I have had this game for about6-years and still love it!!!!Another stand out feature is the AMAZING 2-player co-op mode that lets you and a friend kick some toilet seat!!!BOTH AT THE SAME TIME!!!!RARE RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last but not least is the really, really good music in the game-Level 6 ROCKS!!!!

Graphics-100% The best on the NES
Sound    -100% The best on the NES
Lastibility-100% Hey I'm still playing it!!!
Overall   -100% This is the most perfect game I have played

This along with Super Mario 3 and zelda 1 is truely one of the stand out Nintendo games ever!!!
I LOVE IT!!!!!
Well ummmmm- i gotta go play it some more!!!!

              Timeless-Pure and raw quality!
