CHAPTER 1
And so we find our heros trudging along in Starlight city looking for the next Johto Gym. Ash was marveling at his badges wial brock was reading a magazine. Misty was just walking along humming. Pikachu was atop Ashs hat wial Togepi as usual was in Mistys arms. Suddenly an Officer Jenny aproached them. "excuse me, does one of you trainers happen to be Misty WaterFlower? there is an important message waiting for her at the Star Light poke-center." misty looked up. as did everyone else. "umm, that's me. is something wrong?" officer jenny shrugged. "i don't think so, but the 3 young ladies that called sounded important." Misty sighed. "they probally broke a nail and can't find the filer." ash smerked. Brock was still stuck in girl-mode. Misty pulled him by his ear. "come on casablanca." they headed off for the pokemon center. ********** "hi, officer jenny told me there was a message here for me." said Misty with a smiled to Nurse joy. brock was all googly -eyed wial Ash rested on the couch. "oh you must be Misty, here you go." she passed Misty an envelope. Ash walked over in curisoty. Misty opened it and pulled out a paper. it read, " it's like time!" misty blinked. "huh?" ash read it. "... weird." pikachu pounced over. "hmm... i don't get it. maybe i should call my sisters back in Cereluen." Misty walked over to one of the phones. Ash casually walked behind her. "incomin message..." Misty sighed as she saw Violets face on the screen. "like hi! you like finnaly got out message! it's almost been like a week!" misty sweat dropped. "yeah well we would of been here sooner if ash didnt take that short cut." ash fell over. "i don't get it.. what does the envelope mean?" Violet blinked. "you like dont get it? well i suppose it like dosent matter! Lilly and Daisy are like all ready on their way with the like totaly lucky guy! (her eyes went starry) imagin! being married into the family of sensational sisters!" misty blinked. "... uh yeah..." Violet smiled. "newayz! you just stay there at that like poke-center! they should be there tomorow afternoon." ash blinked. "um.. o-k?" said Misty as violet waved and hung up. Misty blinked. "what was that all about?" asked ash. "i don't know but you better get some blankets!"
CHAPTER 2
Misty sat on one of the pokemon centers couches. ash was next to her reading pokemon weekly. Pikachu lent on him sleeping. togepi was in his lap, brock was on his shoulder snoring. sweat drop. "you go to sleep and your in trouble." said ash tring to push brock off him. Misty giggled and turned her attention back to the movie she and Nurse joy were watching. west side story. "No!" cried Nurse joy and Misty. "tony! Chino will try and kill you!" ash blinked. "must be a girl thing." ***a little wial later *** Misty was lying awake. ash and Brock were asleep. she sighed thinking. couldn't ash see it? he had to get his head out of the clouds and back on his shoulders. how would he ever be a good pokemon trainer if he didnt concentrait. "don't lie to your self mist." she said to herself. "stop pretending your thinking about his skills when your really thinking about him." she looked over at him. he could be stupid, but he could be caring, why didnt he see that she loved him? she left rudy for him (misty meets her match) she saved his life (pokemon 2000) she admited it to someone else (pokemon 2000) she'd even given up pretty things for him, (stunspore delema) she tried to teach him about love (where art thou pokemon) and she risked everything (for crying out loud) she'd even written a poem about him. why couldn't he just see? why did everything have to be about pokemon. she sat up and a song was heard playing. she sat for a moment trying to figure out what it was... but soon relized she'd never heard any kind of music that didnt have to do with pokemon. this song sounded like it had something to do with love... really!! "Baby, I, apologize for all the things that I've done that I've done..." Misty sat back listning... "see, I know, that I've been a fool for far too long baby you don't have to, go and run away just come back to poppa please, baby baby, won't you stay if you really love me, then why are you leaving me?" misty giggled. "i guess i really never heard a love song.." it continued. "I can't think, think about this crazy day, I lose sleep, just daydreamin about you baby" Misty looked over at Ash. he was sound asleep. "I'm goin crazy crazy crazy just thinkin about you lately , I'm goin crazy crazy crazy just thinkin about you, baby. I'm goin crazy crazy crazy crazy thinkin about you lately" again Misty giggled. this song sounded so weird to her. "I'm goin crazy crazy (crazy crazy), when I can't touch you crazy crazy (I'm goin crazy), when I can't hold you crazy crazy (I'm goin crazy), when I can't see you again (said I'm goin crazy, baby baby baby baby baby) said I'm going crazy " Misty gasped. "oh.. so i was right it is a love song..." she walked over to the radio and turned it off. she sat down thinking. "at first that song sounded so strange. but it makes perfect sence. oh ash, i'm goin Crazy when i can't tell you i love you..." she sighed. she got under her covers replaying the lyrics to the song in her head. She was now 16. ( i know it dosent add up! but i wanna pretend that ash went off on his 'journey' when he was 15 o-k???) she'd been with ash and borck for a whole year. they'd been through so much! the indigo league, the orange league, and now the johto league. Misty found her self thinking about home alot. she'd forgotten why she left. she just told her self that it was because she was mad at her family and wanted to proove that she could make it out there. and it partially was. But also because they didnt except her. why didnt they see her talent? she had so many! she could sing! she could swim! she could dance! and they let her do all thoes things.. but why wouldn't they let her train... no not pokemon training. why wouldn't they let her fight...***
CHAPTER 3
Brock had made everyone a healthy breakfest and they had just finished it. "oh man, when's your sisters coming anyway?" asked ash stressed. "i have to get back to pokemon!" Misty sighed. "is that all you ever think about?" ash looked over. "of course not! i think about food!" Misty and brock fell over. "at least have the descensy to think about girls! like a normal boy! like me!" ... brock normal? be like him? needless to say everyone fell over. Misty held togepi in her arms. she couldnt shake the feeling that something was wrong. why couldn't she remember why she left home? was it because her mom died when she was little? no... she'd never met her dad? no... there was something of importance. "Like hellooooo!" cried daisy. "like ditto." said Lilly. brock became.. well brock. Misty had to pull him to a chair by his ear. the 2 sisters began to marvel over pikachu and ask ash and brock stuff. "like hello!" said Misty sarcasticaly. "i'm over here." the sisters walked over and sat down with her at the table. so did Ash and brock. (o an da pokemon ^-^;) "like hey little sis!" "like totaly!" (like sweat drop!) Misty smiled. "hey! violet told me you were comming." daisy blushed. "like yeah! but Eric got like totally held up!" misty blinked. ".. eric?" the sisters like nodded. "yea like totaly! newayz we wanted to know if you wanted to help with the wedding plans." Misty smiled. "sure i love planning stuff but who's getting married? oh let me guess? did our next door neigboor Jon finnaly propse to jennette?' the boys were silent. daisy let out a weak laugh. "um.. no." Misty blinked. "hmm.. well then who is it? who's getting married?" the sisters crouched across the table. "like you silly!" Ash, Brock, and Misty fell out of their chairs laughing. they laughed so hard they cried. "lemme guess! the groom turns into a girl when he gets wet right? he's from china and has a pigtail!" cried Brock. more laughter. infact Misty couldn't stop. the 2 sisters just blinked. finnaly the 3 regained their composer and stood up. "no really lilly, did jon finaly propse?" Lilly blinked. "like what part of 'you are getting married 'don't you understand?!" More laughter. Daisy sighed and passed misty something wrapped in cloth. "lemme guess? an engagement ring?" said misty taking it from her. ash snickered at that. misty opened up the cloth and held it in her hand. she let out a gasp and fell back. brock caught her an the item dropped to the floor. ash picked it up. "a comb? whats so big about that?" Mistys eyes were wide with fear. she was pale. and her fist were well in fists! "no.. thats why i left home!" daisy nodded. "don't tell me you forgot that when you turned 16 you and Eric would be married." Misty blinked and sat down. "..." Lilly frowned. "DON'T TELL ME YOU FORGOT THAT YOUR NOW ENGADGED!" ash laughed so did brock. "o-k girls. the jokes over. you got us..." but brock stopped when he saw the tears in Mistys eyes. "wait a minute.." ash looked too. he suddenly felt scared. Misty never cried. never. "this is a joke.. right?" Misty covered her eyes. "no... thats why i ran away! arranged marriage? " mimiced daisy. "you act like you dont remember." misty sighed standing up but started to feel woozy. she rememberd when she and Eric were little they hated it. they were so mad! eric stole her comb. he said there was a fat chance she'd get it back. just like their was a fat chance he'd ever marry her. she now held the comb in her hands. "well i refuse!" cried misty. ash was afraid now. this didnt make sence. this didnt sound like one of their normal adventures. what was this? "you can't refuse misty! it's an aranged marrige! besides! mom did it and she'd dead! you have to do it to honor her memory!" Misty sat back down. "i can't..." she started. ash and brock were both really scared now. Misty... get married? "why?" asked daisy. "because... i.. i.. lo.. i..." daisy smiled. "Eric is coming here in 2 weeks. you have until then and you'll be married. don't bother running... will just find you again." Misty stood up fast. "but it's not fair! i'm only 16! you marry him!" lilly got teary-eyed. "but misty... moms honor..." misty sat down and looked away. Daisy and Lilly got up and left. Brock just stood there with an astonished look on his face. Ash walked over to Misty. he couldn't see her face. but he could see how tight she clutched her comb. "Misty... that was a joke right?" Misty looked up at him crying. "just leave me alone."
CHAPTER 5
Misty sat on one of the benches in the pokemon center. it was raining so the trio agreed it would be best to stay another night. Ash was helping Nurse Joy with some pokemon. "That's great news about your friend. tell her i said congradulations." said Nurse Joy in her cheery voice. of course Ash didnt say anything. Brock was sprawled out on a bench asleep. Misty sighed. A women aproached her. she was dressed in a green kimono with gold japanese writing on it. Misty reconized her right away. "Your that famous Martial artist arn't you!" the women bowed. "yes, my name is Jen slazer." Misty smiled. "wow! i've read all about you!" jen smiled. "yea Lou Fay and i travel around alot." Misty jumped up. "Lou Fay? he's your husband right?" Jen laughed and shook her head. Misty smiled. "oh, oh well. it must be wonderful to be a martialartist. fighting and stuff." all of a sudden an older man walked on. he had black hair that was pulled back into a braid. it was Lou Fay. " the life of a Martial Artis is verry indurable." misty smiled. "it an't be much worse then pokemon training." Misty got in a long conversation with her newly found friends. Lou fay left for a while to find a hotel. "I heard from the nurse that you are going to be married." misty turned her head. "oh? your so lucky. you dont have to have arranged marriges. i didnt even get a say in all this." Jen smiled and sat down. "oh i know how you feel." Misty looked up. "you do?" she nodded. "a long time ago i was to marry a man named Jose. he was lou fays brother." misty gasped. "he was killed by an evil women, as was Lou Fays Master. we wanted to honor his memory. and felt it would be wrong for us to be in love." misty sighed. "wow.. it's so unfair. we should be allowed to marry anyone we want." silence. "who killed him again?" asked Misty. "an awful women. calls her self 'Jade Fox. if it's the last thing i do i will get her." Misty sighed. she had heard that name before. wasnt she the one who taught Misty her Martial arts when she was younger..? "so why did you come here?" asked Misty. "well, Lou Fay is donating a special sword to the meauseuem." misty jumped up. "the green destiny?" Jen nodded. "wow! i read about it in books! it comes from China and is over 300 years old." jen smield and nodded. Misty thought. "i think i just found a way out of getting married." she thought to herself. jen went to leave. "jen?" jen turned to look at her. "this is going to sound weird.. but will you be my sister? your the kinda person i'd imagined my sisters to be! and we can keep intouch and stuff." jen smiled and bowed. "i'd be honored too..."
it was late that night. Misty was sleeping. Ash didnt want to wake her up. she'd been though alot today. imagine! married at 16! he needed some air. so he went for a walk. he heard the museam had a new display in. some fancy sword or something. he decided to go see what time the exibit opened the next morning. but as he got closer he saw a man and a women pointing to the roof top yelling. ash ran over. "what s going on?" the women looked at him. "my name is jen and this is lou fay, we brought the destiney sword to the meauseaum but taht person stole it." ash looked up to see a tall figure on the roof. holdin a very expencive sword. "get down here you thief." Lou Fay jumped up. Ashs eyes almost popped outta his head. Lou Fay looked almost like he had flown up. he went to strike the villian when out of no where a new person wwas standing there infront. blocking him . "what?!" who are you. this person was dressed all in black with a hood and a mask. "no way Lou Fay. this ones mine." ash watched in astonishment as the person did a flip and snatched the sword from the villian. but the villian pulled out another srowd and they began to duo. "woa..." said ash. Loy Fay landed. "it's a women." he said poniting to the mysterious person. "who?' asked ash. "both... and our Villian is most likely Jade Fox." ash blinked. "who's that?" Jen frowned. "many years ago Jade Fox killed Lou Fays brother and Master. " ash frowned. "but who's the girl..." the 'girl' jumped down holding up the sword. "i'l get this back to you as soon as i can." she said to lou fay before chasing after Jade Fox. "woa..." said Ash.
CHAPTER 5
the girl had chased Jade fox all the way to the ally. Jade fox stopped. "why do you fight me girl. i am your master." the girl spat. "you are no master of mine. you dishoner me. you killed. now you to shall die." jade fox laughed pulling her mask down. "it too bad." she said with a smile. "you would have made a good aprentice. you have mastered fighting me as a friend. but can you fight me as your enemy!" she threw out some weird vial. it burst into smoke. she dissapeared. the girl looked behind her. Ash stood. "uh.. hi." the girl frowned. "you should not have come. now jade fox has lured you into her trap." ash blinked. "what?" suddenly the whole ally burst into flames. the girl grabbed him and the sword. "come ash. i'll get you ouuta here." ash gasped ash she picked him up and ran up a wall. "how do you know my name!!!!!!!!" he cried as she ran from building to building. suddenly Lou Fay stood before her. "you train under Jade fox." he said frowning and started to duo with her as well. the girl was holding ash in one, the sword in the other. and she managed to keep Lou Fay at bay. his eyes widend. "you don't do you. ZJade fox knows none of these techniques." the girled bowed. "i bag the use of your green destiny swrod to fight Jade Fox with." Lou Fay smiled. "on one condition." the girl looked up. "you let me train you." the girl threw ash down. "i need no training from a man." Lou smiled. "i train by the book of Gods. Jade Fox was a waste of my time. all this time she thought she was training me when she couldnt even read the book of Gods. so i train my self. now jade fox kill. so jade fox is my enemy." Lou Nodded. "fine man. if you can take this sword back from me in 3 moves... i will let you teach me." ash sat down this should be interesting. they started to battle.. but in 1 move the sword was in it's owners hands. the girl nodded. he reached for her mask. "go ahead... it makes no difference. with out this sword i am nothing." he put his hand down. no. he wouldnt take her mask off. insteadhe handed her the swrod. "go. find Jade Fox." the girl nodded taking the sword then lept from the building. ash marveled. "why did you do that?" Lou Fay smiled. " i could see the purness in her eyes." ash just shrugged. "whatver."
it was the next day. Ash and brock decided to go to Lou Fays training hall. they couldnt find misty. ash thought that was normal. she proballly went off to do her own thing. he walked to the temple. brock drooling over every pretty girl in site. then they saw Lou Fay. "ah ash. come in." he motioned for them to come in and they did. "i was wondering if you got the green destiney.._" he didnt get to finish because from the ceiling a person dressed in black dropped. brock lept behind ash. the person bowed and held a sword out to lou fay. "the destiney sword." he held it in his hands. it seemed to ring as he placed it in his holder. he bowed. the girl removed her mask. "MISTY!" she nodded and bowed. "i'm sorry. Jade Fox has fled the city." she looked over. "oh great. now i'm supposed to explane this to you 2 right?" ash blinked. 'well that would be nice." misty nodded sitting down. "as a little girl i took martial arts. my teacher was named jade fox. i'll give you the short version of the story." brock nodded. "she taught me from a book of Gods. but she could not read. one time i read the whole book and mastered the moves. i was only 8. but being stronger then she scared me. so i kept it a secret. she dissapeard one day. then i heard she was here. i knew she'd try to get the green destiney sword. it's over 3000 years old and is a true sword of fighting masters. then i learned that she is wanted. and i couldn't let her do to anyone else what she did to my mother. but i found i was too late. she had killed Lou Fays brother and master." ashs mouth hung open. "..." Lou Fay smiled. " and now Misty has agrred to train-" "oh no she didnt!" violet burst in the room. "MISTY IS GETTING MARRIED IN 1 WEEK! HER GROOM IS NOT ABOUT TO LET HER TAKE SOME FIGHTING CLASS. SHE HAD BALLET CLASSES TO ATTEND!" misty face fell. "what?! how dare you come in here and tell me what to do." this went on for a while. Finally she convinced Misty that this training wasnt gonna happen. she left while Misty stuck her tounge out. "Stupid." she muttered. she turned to Lou Fay and bowed. "as you can see... i'll have to get rid of this wedding thing first..." He nodded. Misty ran out the door.
CHAPTER 6
Ash sat watching Misty fishing. "Misty... get married?" this was so weird. their adventures may be a little weird.. but this was too weird. "she's so angry. i don't blame her. i wouldn't want to get married at 16. especially to some guy i didnt know." he sighed. Misty was taking this rather well. he walked up to her. he noticed poliwag was swimming. "hey Mist.. can i sit down.?" she removed the piece of grass from her mouth that she was chewing on. "it's a free country." ash sat down. "any luck?" she shook her head. "so um.. that's pretty cool that you fight and stuff." Misty looked over. "i mean i never thought you as the martial artist kinda person." Misty laughed. "thanks." he smiled. pikachu decided to wander over and see what brock was doing. "so.. i don't know if you want my opinon. but i think this whole thing is dumb." misty nodded. "have you ever met this Eric guy?" Misty sighed. "once when we were little and he stole my comb." ash sighed. "well do you get to see him?" misty shook her head. "not till the big day. whats with you. your ating like i AM getting married." ash sweat dropped. "well... aarnt you?" misty smiled. "no way. i'd rather marry you or brock now then him later. " ash blushed. "infact i'd rather marry psyduck!" ash laughed. "or pikachu!" more laughter. they sat fishing for a while.
Elswear Jade Fox was pacing. she had spotted the wanted pictures of her self all over the place. she was getting angry. "i will not let myself bow defeat to Misty.. imagin being decieved by her when she was just 8?!" she frowned. "wait.. what about that boy. ... hmm.. i must defeat her. she's master battleing me as a friend and teacher.. but can she beat me as an eniemy?"
Misty and Ash were still fishing with no luck. Ash sighed. "man the goldeen just arnt biting today." Misty nodded. Brock walked over. "i saw a couple of pretty gals walking over there i'm gonna go see if i can catch up and maybe get a phone number or 2!" brock ran of with little hearts in his eyes. pikachu sweat dropped. "pika pi. pikachu pi pi pikachu." ash nodded. "yeah, maybe you should follow him pika pal." pikachu nodded and ran off. well heres a cute scene. ash and misty alone by a lake. we all know what we think ash is thinking. as if! he sitting trying to figure out his stradegy for beating the next gym leader. Misty was just thinking of ways to get rid of this wedding thing. Misty sat up and looked around. "huh? somethin wrong mist?" asked ash. Misty stood up. she looked around. "i thought i heard something..." she frowned. Poliwag jumped out of the water and stood next to her. "poli..." ash stood up. "what i dont hear anything." Misty sat down. "i guess n-" she didnt get to finish because there before them all stood Jade Fox dressed in her usual robes and hoods. she smiled evily. "hello Misty.." she ran at her with a stick. Misty jumped landing on the stick. "grrr! get off!" cried Jade Fox. suddenly Ranma walked out. "hmm? oops wrong set.." everyone sweat drops as Jade fox pulled the stick out from underneath misty. misty fell but lept up and stood by ash. he too was standing reaching for a pokeball. "ash you better get outta here. Jade Fox wants me not you." all of a sudden there stood lou Fay and Jen. Jen took ashs arm. "yes young trainer we shall watch from a distance." she pulled ash back. Misty frowned. "i dont need your help lou fay. i can handle Jade Fox." Lou Fay smiled. "i know..." "... oh." he smiled. "but you cannot handle Jade Foxs tricks." he grabbed hold of Jade Fox for a second. when he let go he held in his hands poison darts. "cant argue with that." said ash. Lou Fay backed up. "it dosent matter. i can beet you with out them Misty." cried jade fox charging at her with num chucks. Misty easly dodged them. "why wont you just admit defeat and get on with your life. i know more than you.." said Misty with a sigh. but yet again Jade Fox kept trying. then she started using kicks and punches. misty faught back. thats when ASh noticed Jade Fox was holding something shiny. a dagger! she clutched it as misty went to kick. no! ash lept. he didnt know how he did it. he didnt even remember jumping the 12 feet. it must have been a miracle. he lept and tackled Jade Fox to the ground. Misty jumped up. ":what the-?" ash pinned Jadew Fox down revealing the blade she held in her hands. "let me up you little rat!" she threw ash aside and lept for misty. "no!" cried ash. he jumped in front of misty. Jade fox opened a bottle and dumped the pouder on ash. he fell to the ground shaking. "stun spore!" she cried laughing going for Mistys throat. thats when jen and Lou Fay jumped in. Jen ran to Ash and Lou Fay tackled Jade Fox who was choking misty. "you killed my brother! now you die too!" jade fox jumped in the air. Lou Fay jumped up. "where did she go?!" he saw her leaping from tree to tree. "i'll get her!" Lou Fay went off running in the woods. Misty stood up. she saw jen knealing by ash fumbling with little bottles she had in a bag. ash moaned. "ash! are you o-k!" Misty ran over to see ash trembling and all the color gone from his face. "i'm.. f-f-f-fine. it's j-j-j-just a l-l-l-ittle stun s-s-s-spore." Jen nodded. "dont worry Misty i have an antidote with me right now. " Misty nelt next to ash holding his hand. he smiled up at her. "oh ash i'm so sorry, this is all my fault." ash tried to shake his head. "i should have told yo and Brock about Jade Fox. oh ash she hurt you." ash could see she was almost in tears. "r-r-really im o-o-o-k m-m-misty." she smiled as he gripped her hand a little tighter to release some of his pain. "oh ash. i'm so sorry. i'll make her pay. your so stupid. you moron why did you jump in?" ash swallowed the medicin Jen gave to him. " i couldnt let you get hurt." Jen stood up. "his muscles will begin to relax. he should stop shaking but he wont be able to move to much today." jen stood up. "i better go make sure Lou Fay is o-k." misty nodded as jen ran off. she sat next to ash. "are you sure your o-k?" ash nodded. "trust me. i'll be o-k. it's worth it so long as you are." misty smiled. "poliwag take my canteen and get ash some water from the lake." poliwag nodded. "i dont think you'll have too." said ash pointing up. it had begun to rain. he tried to sit up but found it took all his strength to just do that. "great.. you better get going. looks like i'm stuck here." he said. misty looked over. "what? no way! i owe you ash. i'm so not leaving you in the rain. she bent down. "hurry up and climb on." ash blinked. "what?!" misty frowned. "hurry up before the rain comes! i'll carry you!" ash blinked. "..." misty frowned. "fine i'll do it myselfe. she reached behind her self garbbing ashs arms and hoisted him up on her back. her knees buckled a bit but she wasnt about to let the boy who saved her wait in the rain. ash gasped. misty was giving him a piggy back! she was carring him. "misty you dont have too.." misty frowned. "shut up! i do and i am so shut up!" ash laughed. He was really surprrised at how well Misty could actually manage carring him. ash fewlt him self grow tired. before he knew it he had fallen asleep. *** misty sighed as she wadded threw the mud. she wasnt gonna give up on ash. she kept pushing her self. finnaly she could see the pokemon center. "ash wake up.." ash began to stirr. "huh?" Misty sat him down on a bench and collasped next to him. ash looked at the girl. she was soaked and covered in mud. her clothes and hair were plasterd to her body. "misty... he mumbled. "thank you." she smiled trying to keep her exaution to her self. "come on i'll help you into the pokemon center." ash tried to stand up but his legs were still a little weak. so misty put her arm around him and let him lean on her. they slowly walked in the pokemon center. "what happened." Jen looked away. "he faught Jade Fox. Jade Fox was dying. but in her last breath she stuck Lou Fay with a poison dart... there is no cure." her eyes looked to the floor. Brock togepi and pikachu came over. Brock looked sad as well. "he's in the back room." said Brock. "oh jen we need to be with him." said ash. misty looked at him surprise in her eyes. "if he's gonna die he shouldnt be lone!" his words did many things to misty. she was scared that Lou Fay was gonna die. upset that Ash had mentioned it. but taken away by his kindness of wanting to be with a freind on his death bed. they walked in to the small back room. Chapter 7
Everyone was sitting by Lou Fay. Ash was still leaning on Misty for support. there wasnt a dry eye in tthe place. Jen helled his hand, "Jen..." wispered Lou Fay. jen nelt down. "please save your strength. dont waist your life on me." Lou Fay shook his head. "no.. no.. i have wasted my life." ash found him self crying too. "i've only one brreath left and i have to tell you..." his voice grew week. "i.. i love you..." his breath escaped him. "i'm sorry that i didnt relize it sooner. and i'm sorry i wasted my life not loving you... i love you jen.." jen burst into tears. "Lou fay dont leave me!" she grasped onto him as his eyes closed. everyone was crying. Jen shook him. "no lou fay. i love you. don't die... dont die... please..." shebacked up whiping her face. "no.." she looked around the room at everyone. she really looked at ash and misty. she bent down and kissed Lou Fays mouth. thats when Nurse joy pulled evryone else out of the room. ash's lags were now working wight but he still leaned on misty. he saw the hurt in mistys eyes. "this is so horrible. ahd to think her sisters want her to be married tomorow." he thought. Misty couldnt help but keep hearing Lou Fay wisper the last words he ever said to jen. "i love you." it was so sad. he wasted his whole life just to keep honor. always worring about someone else. never alowing him self to give into his love. they sat in the poke-center for what seemed like hours. Nurse Joy came out. "i think you 3 should go do something i'll watch your pokemon. it's just the uh people are coming for lou fay." the 3 teens stood up nodding. Misty helped ash walk to the door. "um.. i know you dont feel like it. but theres a dance at the rec center. maybe you should go and get your mind off this." they nodded leaving. of course none felt like being happy. they had a big pit in there stomach. even ash who is usually so positive couldnt crack a joke. they did how ever go to the dance. well they went in the rec center..
they all sat at one table. they'd been there for about an hour, they were starting to lighten up a bit. Brock even went googly eyed over some girl. it wasnt that they wwere happy. they just forced them selves to be. the silence was getting so loud between them. so they almost acted as if nothing had happened. it helped with the pain. a song started to play. a slow song. misty looked up. ash smiled. "you like this song?" Misty nodded. "yea... " ash sighed. he knew she was thinking about her wedding the next day. and of Lou Fay. but he had to take her mind off it. he staggered over to her. "um.. well since it's your last night as a bachlorette wanna dance." Misty blushed. "you keep talking as if i am going threw with this wedding. " ash laughed. "yes.. i would like to." he leaned on her as they walked to the dance floor. ash knew she wouldnt get married. he knew she'd just think of some reason and blow it all off. Misty too knew the wedding wasnt happening. so she just treied to forget. there was no way her sisters were making her go threw with it. they finnaly found a good spot. "promise you wont hit me with a mallet if i step on your toes?" misty laughed. "i promise ash." he slid his arms around her waist. she slid her around his neck. Brock watched this from afar. "poor misty." he thought. "my hair my hair..." did he love misty?"
CHAPTER 8
ASh was lying in bed. he had just woken up. the clock read 2 o cock in the morning. they had stayed at a different pokemon center hoping Mistys siters wouldnt find them... but they did. everyone was asleep. ash felt so weird. he had to talk to mist. but when he got up she wasnt in bed. he walked to the front desk and he saw her standing there. she was dressed in her wedding dress. she looked beautiful. "misty?" asked ash. misty looked over. "oh, it's just you..." he nodded walking over. "wow you look pretty. run away bride?" misty didnt laugh at his joke. "is everything o-k?" misty held her dress up. she pulled it off. she put it on the counter. she was now in her regular clothes. she touched the fabric of the dress. "pretty isnt it..." ash smiled. "sure... if you were 28 or something." Misty looked away. "ash.. i'm marryin Eric tomorrow." ash smiled. "yeah i know..." Misty frowned. "ash i mean it." now he was silent. "my sisters and i discussed it. it's for the better. and i'll have someone to take care of me. i've never had that ash." ash looked away. " it wont be to bad. Erics a nice guy. he's just as freaked out about this whole thing as i am. i talked to him on the phone. he dosent want to get married. he said it wasnt me.. if he ever did get married he 'd marry a girl he had been traveling with." ash sat down. " but we relized it was my moms last wish. and i just thought i'd tell you first..." more silence. "so i guess i wont be following you around any more... i guess you can forget the bike. it was just an excuse any way." ash looked up. "excuse...?" Misty sighed. "it dosent matter. i'm going to bed. you will come tomorow though right?" ash smiled and hugged her. "misty i wouldn't miss it for the world." she began to cry a little. "Misty..?" he asked as she turned to leave. "you had someone take care of you.. rather you knew it or not..." she stopped and looked at ash. then she turned and left. ash watched her. Misty was taking thoes first steps into becoming an adult. difficuly choices. Ashs words lingured in her mind as she fell asleep. ***
(next day)
ash was still in the poke-center. he was dressed up. Brock had already left. he sighed. this was going to be the hardest thing he'd ever have to do. ash had to go watch her get married.. and pretend he dosent love her. he felt a hand on his shoulder. he turned to see Jen. "ash... i have something very important to tell you." ash spun around. "jen?!" she lowered her eyes. "don't let her do it." ash blinked. "you only have one chance at love ash... stop the wedding." ashs mouth dropped. "theres no use denying it ash. i know your feelings towards each other." Ash blinked. "our feelings?" Jen looked at him with pleading eyes. "please ash. you 2 have a pure love. don't let him take it away from you. dont let her leave you with out her at least knowing how you feel. " ash sighed. "how do i feel?" he asked her questionly. Jen forwned with sad eyes. "that's for you to find out Ash. go to the wedding. look deep withen your soul. dont make the mistake i did. " Jen turned and left. Ash sighed and started to run to the wedding. imagin! getting married at 16! Ash sighed. he knew he had to do something. an Officer Jenny pulled over. "need a ride?" ash nodded.
Misty stepped out of the isle. she was walking it now. to everyone else it was an isle. to her it was a mile.
