Looks: classified by most people as the most
beautiful guy in Fushigi Yuugi (although I don't personally agree with that), Hotohori has
long flowing brown hair, tall, brown eyes...
Personality: a bit vain "I'm so beautiful" is his favourite saying to himself. However, he genuinely care for the people around him. A bit naive (took him a while to get the fact that Miaka likes Tamahome and not him...)
Special Abilities: yes, another kinda useless Suzaku seishi *stones being hurled at me*, I got no idea how they managed to win at the end... Anyway, Hotohori's power is that he's very good with the sword... and that's about it...
Sweetheart(s): Miaka for most of the Anime. But after 3/4 of the anime, he realize (FINALLY!) that Maika likes Tamahome and there is no chance between him and her. Besides Maika, there is Nuriko who likes Hotohori but too bad Nuriko is a guy and Hotohori is a heterosexual... but in he end, Hotohori married a girl who looks a lot of Nuriko.
Comments: Hotohori is the emperor of Konan... he's gorgeous (just look at his hair) but there's something about this guy I don't really like. I think it's his naiveness... Can't he see that Miaka loves Tamahome, then why does he want to pursue something impossible.... making life so difficult for Tamahome and Miaka - not saying he's purposely making hell for both of them but all his love for Miaka gets on my nerve MAJORLY! It really annoyed me when *spoiler* he was dying and all he could say is "Miaka", I mean WHAT ABOUT HIS WIFE!!! Anyway, he has a pure heart and he wants nothing but the best for Miaka.
