Looks:
Kurapika has blonde hair and is average height for his age. His eyes are usually
brown but when he's angry or excited it turns to a scarlet red colour (cool ne?)
which usually occurs when he sees a spider because it reminds him of the Ryodan
(whose symbol is a 12 legged spider) who massacred his whole clan and he's
basically the only survivor. His scarlet eyes is supposedly one of the 7 most
beautiful things in the world *swoon*. Kurapika's face is actually really
feminine and at the beginning, there was some confusion whether he's actually a
guy or a girl because his gender was never made clear. Anyway, I'm pretty sure
he's a guy so...
Personality: Kurapika doesn't like to kill unnecessary. He's totally obsessed with getting revenge on the Ryodan and will sacrifice his life for it. He's a real true friend and his real loyalty lies with his friends. It may be just me but I felt that Kurapika went through a huge change in the middle... at the beginning, he's this really nice guy who's rather approachable and then he changed to this really cool and distant kind of guy... but I still love him ^-^.
Special Abilities: At the beginning, Kurapika's main weapon is his twin sword which is chained together (don't know the proper name for it *sweatdrop*), but he's pretty good with his fist as well. Anyway, his 'nen' is of the Materialization type which mean he can materialize his nen into an object (or something like that) which he uses to materialize a chain that he usually carries around his right hand (I think). However, the really cool part about Kurapika's power is that when his eyes turn scarlet, his nen is actually of the Specialization type which means that he can concentrate his power into any category he wants so in that way, Kurapika is extremely powerful. At the beginning, Kurapika was probably weaker than both Gon and Killua but after gaining his nen powers he's probably the strongest out of the gang. However, the catch to Kurapika's power is that he can only use his chain on the Ryodan and if he uses it on any other person, he'll die by his own nen blade... scary huh?? The reason for this is because he made an oath that he'll only use the "Judgement Chain" on the Ryodan hence his chain is extremely powerful against the Ryodan, but if he ever breaks the oath, he'll die... *sniff sniff*.
Sweetheart(s): None officially... although a lot people mistaken Kurapika and Leoreo's close friendship as something romantic but I don't think Kurapika treat Leoreo more than a friend... besides, I don't think Leoreo is gay anyway. And there is always the relationship between Kurapika and his employer, Neon, but then again, she likes to collect body parts... so her having a pair of scarlet eyes in a jar doesn't go down well with Kurapika... personally, I don't think Kurapika really likes Neon, but tolerate her because she's a valuable asset.
Comments: I absolutely love Kurapika... he's my favourite character in Hunter x Hunter (and I love most of them too ^-^). And when his eyes turn scarlet... *hunk alert*... drool.... Kurapika is the type of guy who'll stand by his friends forever... and not to mention he's really smart too... his knowledge and intelligence is impressive... definitely the smartest one out of the gang.
