"A Pegasus Page Turner" or "A Bestiality Best Seller"

Serena is moved to tears by The Moonlit Pegasus, a touching story of the love between a girl and a Pegasus. As if Rini needed anymore encouragement...

Raye, meanwhile, is amazed that Serena can read, but decides that any book that Amy read must be worth reading. Raye will probably start reading "Fun With Physics."

Later, Lita tells Serena and Rini that Tomoko, the horse loving author, went to her old school. Lita kept this information to herself so she wouldn't seem like a big brag face--which is why she waited until her friends were raving about the book to say that she knows the author. Ever modest, Lita adds that she was the one who encouraged Tomoko to keep writing and submit stories to magazines. She also agrees with Rini that, yes, without her influence, there would be no Moonlit Pegasus.(And Rini would never be forced to learn that girls aren't supposed to have passionate love affairs with freaking horses.)

Serena suggests the whole gang goes to congratulate Tomoko on her success. Rini wants to meet Tomoko to get some Pegasus dating tips. Lita agrees. Serena and Rini decide that this is tight.

Zirconia, meanwhile, is running out of patience. Today's quaint, old timey remark is that the wincing Amazon Trio have heads like balloons and that they should shut their mouths.("Back in my day, we respected our elders! People under 400 should be seen and not heard!")

Zircon arrives with todays target--surprise, surprise, it's Tomoko! The Trio, clearly the founding members of the Dead Moon Book Club, all recognize her. Hawk-Eye and Fish-Eye thought the part where the pegasus sacrifices itself was really funny. Tiger-Eye is still gazing at the hot writer girl.

Zirconia, apparently, doesn't think noble sacrifices are funny at all and tells them to get their butts in gear since he--like Rini--assumes that Tomoko might know their Pegasus. Tiger-Eye asks for the target. He's just the sort of stud man who can fill this babe's "romantic void."(draw your own conclusions from this line...I sure did.)

The next day, the girls go to meet Lita's writer friend...and force her to autograph their books! All in the name of friendship.(Remember, a friend in need is a friend in lead! Sailor Venus says!) Serena got a second copy for the autograph, but Raye has three copies--one to read, one to keep forever, and the one with the autograph for showing off. Everyone sweatdrops...especially after Luna says Raye must do everything in threes.(At least I'm not the only one with my mind in the gutter)

Lita runs ahead, excited. Mina knows it's because she can get her autograph! Unfortunately, there's a mob of evil media folk outside Tomoko's huge house.

Tiger-Eye decides he can fight his way through. The scuffle stops as Lita asks what's going on. We learn that Tomoko's deadline is tomorrow...and Lita runs off, upset that Tomoko might have given up on her dream. Lita also sounds like she's going to beat some inspiration into her old friend is needs be...

Tomoko is right where Lita thought she'd be--under the tree where they met. A crying Tomoko says she can't write anymore and that she's afraid she'll never match The Moonlit Pegasus. As Tomoko runs off, Tiger-Eye watches from the all concealing bushes.

Later, Lita contemplates this at Crown, wondering why Tomoko no longer loves writing "fictional stories."(Aren't all stories fictional?)

Flashback! Tomoko struggles to get a manuscript back from a group of guys. The dumb wimp-heads run at the sight of Lita. Noticing the similar uniform, Lita remaks, "Oh, we're both from the same school..." Tomoko replies that they're in the same class. To make up for this faux pas, Lita refuses to give the papers back until she's done reading. When she's finished, she tells Tomoko that she's read a lot of books(even though the word "manuscript" throws her off)but this is the first one that could pull her into the story. She adds that since she doesn't know Tomoko, she won't bother with flattery(good old tactful Jupiter!)and that she liked the stories and wants to know when Tomoko has more.

Still in the flashback, Tomoko submit her work to magazines and we learn that Tomoko's muse is #25, a hunky soccer player. Lita asks if Tomoko's told him. Tomoko replies that he doesn't even know she exists, so Lita suggests that Tomoko submit her stories to a magazine. That's bound to win #25 over!(Remember kids, follow your dreams to get boys.)

Back in the present, Serena and Luna realize that Rini has gone missing...

Tomoko, meanwhile, is sobbing. Flashback! Tomoko's at a book signing when suddenly, her muse walks by with a girl on his arm! End flashback. Tomoko feels that her inspiration is gone forever. This girl obviously never got a good foundation in Dante or Plutarch.

Tomoko hears a little voice and goes to her window. It's Rini, announcing that she's seen a Pegasus. He's a beautiful white horse with wings and a horn and hot flanks...Rini asks Tomoko to write another book and is joined by Serena and Lita. Lita yells at Tomoko and calls her a coward(Lita has obviously never encountered writer's block before) Still, this moves Tomoko enough to open her curtains and smile.

Unfortunately, Tiger-Eye has had time to slip into the house and take off his shoes(don't write me about the culture thing. I know, I know...) Captain Subtlety, AKA Joe Handsome, works for Dream World Publishing House and he's going to be Tomoko's new editor. Since writer's don't socialize much, they get very close to their editors, and since Tiger-Eye is her new editor, heh heh...

While Fish-Eye would probably drag this "closeness" out for a week or more, Tiger-Eye immediately says "Surrender your dreams to me" and snaps his fingers. Tomoko is naturally a bit perturbed by this. She starts screaming when she sees that Joe Handsome is really a pointy eared cross dresser.

And transformation sequence, one, two, three, Jupiter remembers her attack name for once and tells Tiger-Eye to stay away from her friend Tomoko.(How does anyone not know who these girls are?) Tiger-Eye is naturally a bit confused by this friend crap.

And double moon speech on friendship, complete with poses. Seeing pumpkins, Tiger-Eye calls out today's darling lemure--Magician Tenko.

Wow, a lemure I can understand! Tenko's first trick is called "Chains of Medusa." It involves wrapping Sailor Moon, Mini-Moon, and Jupiter up in chains. If only Sailor Jupiter could remember that metal conducts electricity...(Jupiter's my favorite, but she really can be a moron...)

Tiger-Eye laughs at the scouts inability to remember anything from science class, then has himself a look at those dreams. There's no Pegasus, even though Zirconia chose this target. Tiger-Eye tells Tenko to finish them off, so Tenko sets her little timer.

Before the bomb can go off, Tuxedo Mask's metal cutting roses make an appearence. Today's inspirational message is that "chains can't hold back beauty." Free at last, Jupiter chucks the bomb at Tenko.

And Pegasus, Pegasus, Pegasus, Moon Gorgeous Meditation, so long Tenko, Tiger-Eye bites his thumb and makes a hasty exit.

Tomoko, having seen Pegasus appear, is inspired again. She asks Lita if she'll read her next novel for her and dedicates her book to Lita and anyone with a special dream.

I find it amazing that in an episode with a book about a girl and her noble steed, Rini and Pegasus don't have a single blushing, icky conversation...
