"A True Reflection" or "Another Villain Goes After Darien"

Back at the circus tent no one's noticed yet, the Amazon Trio is, as usual, having a drink. Tiger's-Eye is pissed that they got yelled at again. He and Hawk's-Eye complain that Zirconia's targets suck and he doesn't even let them explain.

Hawk's-Eye then does the impersonation of Zirconia that he's been working on instead of actually looking for Pegasus. Tiger's-Eye is no longer amused because if you've got time to secretly practice making fun of Zirconia, you should be able to do some real work.

Fish-Eye speaks up, bringing Tiger's-Eye down. Fish-Eye says he's okay, but wonders what will happen to them if they keep failing. Hawk's-Eye and Tiger's-Eye decide that probably nothing. Well, nothing too serious(I mean, come on! It's not like Zirconia's got replacements waiting in the rafters or anything!) Fish-Eye doesn't agree. Hawk's-Eye says Fish might be right, but Zircon appears with the next target. And ugh, it's a guy!

Fish-Eye immediately perks up, complete with pelvic thrusts. Hawk's-Eye then says, and I quote:

"What's with your mood swing to Mr. Happy?"

Wow, in North America, Fish-Eye is so androgynous that even the rest of the Amazon Trio can't remember if he's male of female.

Fish-Eye says he doesn't know what Hawk's-Eye means by mood swings. Tiger's-Eye asks why Fish-Eye is crazy over those guys but not him and Hawk's-Eye. Hawk's-Eye gets some of the ambiguously gay duo's pride back by pointing out that the targets aren't too crazy about Fish-Eye(who is "her" again.) Fish-Eye says that's because he hasn't been serious, but once he gets serious about someone...Hawk's-Eye and Tiger's-Eye both want to see Fish-Eye get serious. Fish-Eye says he has to find the right guy...and today's target is so fine...

Of course, it's Darien. He's going fish shopping with the girls. Serena is dragging him around shrieking. Rini, Amy, Lita, and Raye admire some fish from the Amazon. Rini says they look like jewelry. Diana says they look delicious.

Darien tells Mina that he's had his fish for a few years, but he wants to get some more that are even harder to take care of(what a dork...of course, maybe when I've had fish live for more than six months I'll know what he's talking about)Serena says that's okay as long as it doesn't take time away from her.

Mina remarks that Serena and Darien sure are lovey-dovey today...whoo-hoo!(like Serena isn't clamped on to Darien's arm every other day?)

Darien wanders off, afraid to taunted a second time. He encounters Fish-Eye in a dress who tells him that he thinks fish are calm and soothing...and asks if Darien likes them because his girlfriend is so annoying. Darien tells him to show himself. Fish-Eye appears, holding a piece of glass over his face, and says he feels sorry for Darien's fish because the glass always has to seperate them. While trying to dramatically lower the glass, Fish-Eye cuts himself. Darien, offering to help, takes Fish-Eye's hand and Fish-Eye feels Darien's magical healing powers.

While Fish-Eye is wondering what he felt, Serena appears and starts screaming. Before Darien can explain, Fish-Eye says that they were just talking about Serena...and how Darien finds her so annoying that he can't wait to get home to his soothing fish. This doesn't do much to calm Serena down. Fish-Eye tempts fate by grabbing Darien's arm. Serena responds with a quick judo chop. Fish-Eye tells Serena that he's her rival in love...and that Serena doesn't seem to be much of a match.

The other girls appear and the fight is ended by Diana who smells something tasty. Fish-Eye sees the cat and runs away, saying he hopes to see Darien again soon.

In an alley way, Fish-Eye thinks that Darien might definitely be the one who's got Pegasus. And regardless, he's a fine looking guy and Fish wants to get serious with him as soon as possible.

Zirconia is muttering to him/herself when there's giggling up in the rafters. The giggling shadows have finally decided to wake up and toss a glowing ball around. Zirconia stops it before it hits the ground. S/he agrees, but it's early to break the spell. S/he and the shadows know that a certain group is doomed to be sacrificed, but there's still some use in 'em. The appearence of the shadows must mean that Queen Nehelenia is losing patience, so something will be done very soon.

Meanwhile, Darien's walking down the street when Fish-Eye asks to talk to him. Darien says he's in a hurry, but that doesn't stop Fish-Eye from moving in for a kiss. Darien turns away and Fish-Eye points out that no one has to know about them. Darien says that's not the problem. Sure, Fish-Eye's attractive(Fish-Eye becomes the first member of the Amazon Trio to ever say anything negative about his appearence...)but Darien's only insterested in Serena. Fish-Eye wants to know what's so great about her. Darien says he has to go but Fish-Eye pulls him back, saying it's the first time he ever felt love with his heart. He tries for another kiss, is rejected, and asks why Serena's so special. The answer is, of course, that Serena is full of life and dreams.

Later, Fish-Eye is sulking in the part of the circus tent that isn't Zirconia's throne room and isn't the bar. Tiger's-Eye walks up and ask's if Fish-Eye's done with Darien yet. Fish-Eye says no, and asks if Tiger's-Eye thinks having dreams makes you appealing to others. Tiger's-Eye doesn't quite get the question, and Fish-Eye says that his current target could easily have any girl he wanted but, well, he's hopelessly devoted to a dream filled Meatball Head.

Tiger's-Eye asks what Fish-Eye's point is. This was obviously the wrong thing to say to an already miffed, Fish-Eye who shouts "One, Two, Three!"

Once he recovers from the shock of being tied up and having a dream mirror come out of his chest and crumble, Tiger's-Eye asks Fish-Eye what the hell he's doing. Fish-Eye ignores him and says he knew there wouldn't be a mirror. He also wonders why they don't have dreams. Tiger's-Eye suggests that having dreams would make life too complicated. Fish-Eye snaps that that's not it and walks off, pondering the Trio's lack of dreams.

Tiger's-Eye begs and screams for Fish-Eye to come back and let him go.

Somehow, the entire Trio ends up in the center ring. And guess what? Today's a special day! Today we get to hear from Queen Nehelenia! Yay! Well, okay, fine. The Trio has no damn idea who Queen Nehelenia is, but Zirconia's perfectly willing to explain that Nehelenia is the beautiful, wonderful, most powerful member of "our family."

"Our family"? Please tell me that's a dub mistake. The Amazon Quartet are four brainwashed humans(hence the lack of pointy ears), the Amazon Trio are...well, wait a bit, and Zircon is an eyeball. Nehelenia looks a bit like Zirconia when she starts decomposing, but...family?(are they related to all the balls in the circus?)

Yeah, anyway, Nehelenia announces that she doesn't like to be kept waiting(she also calls Zirconia "Zircon" or is just talking to the eyeball) and she wants to see a damn flying horse soon because the spell she cast on the Trio will end at the next full moon.(or was it new moon? I can't remember, and I think Fish reverses it later)

The Amazon Trio is naturally confused. When they ask Zirconia(Hawk's-Eye asks to approach, but it's Tiger's-Eye's foot that steps forward), the old soul hermit bursts out laughing. Fish-Eye asks what's so funny. Zirconia asks the Trio if they haven't gotten it yet, then conjures up a mirror and tells them to look at what they really are.

The Trio look in the mirror and see their reflections turn into little shadow blobs of--you guessed it--a tiger, a hawk, and a fish. None of them take it especially well.

Zirconia tells them that, yup, those are their real selves, and it was magic that transformed them into human like creature. Fish-Eye concludes that that's why they don't have dreams. Hawk's-Eye, who's been out of the loop on this one, looks surprised. Zirconia reminds the Trio that the spell cast on them will be removed at the next full moon(so if they like wearing high heels and big earrings, they'd better get their man-animal asses in gear.)and tells them that the horn on Pegasus' head is actually a golden crystal. Once they have the golden crystal, they can be human, but if they don't get it, they'll be their primal selves forever.

Outside the tent, Darien is sitting on a bench when he's approached by Fish-Eye again. Fish-Eye asks if he's meeting his girl of many dreams. Darien says yes, and Fish-Eye suggests that since he won't give her up, he'll be willing to have a secret affair with Darien...well, at least until the next full moon. When this doesn't work, Fish-Eye offers to protect him and Darien replies that he doesn't want his love life to be that way(in the original, he tells Fish-Eye that he doesn't have any dreams)

Either way, Fish-Eye is devastated and screams that if he can't be a part of Darien's dreams, he's going to at least get to see them! One, two, three!

Elsewhere, Serena is trying to keep Rini away from her date when the two hear Darien screaming. Time for a glittery transformation sequence.

Sailor Moon and Sailor Mini-Moon appear and Moon tells Fish-Eye that, among other things, the only good thing about him is his taste in guys. Fish-Eye tells them that it's the last time they interfere with the Trio's mission.

Out comes an acrobat lemure...who, with his evil lisp, sounds gayer than Christmas morning. He traps Sailor Moon and Sailor Mini-Moon with his evil trampoline attack and Fish-Eye gets to see the dream he was dumped for.

There is, of course, no Pegasus, and Fish-Eye tries to stab Darien(if this is how Fish loves with his heart, I'd hate to see him when he loves with something else) Well, stab or something. They cut the actual knife going forward bit, but there's still a knife in Fish-Eye's hand...Fish-Eye changes back into his dress and says goodbye to Darien with a kiss.

Sailor Moon and Mini-Moon decide that now that Fish-Eye's gone, they can finally call Pegasus. Moon Gorgeous Meditation, c u l8r WeHo acrobat!

It starts raining and Fish-Eye is sitting out in the rain, too depressed to go home without a dream. Serena stumbles across him and offers him her umbrella, asking how Fish-Eye can expect to be a worthy rival when he's soaking wet.
