//MOVIE HINTS// There were hints in the movie?I'm happy to say that there were.In fact,2 succeeding scenes were actually devoted to Michi hinting..the phone call and the postcard scenes. For those who have seen the movie, you probably know what I'm talking about. For the sake of those who haven't and also for those who have seen the scenes, let me explain the reason why I consider these 2 as hints *The Phone call* In the preceding scene,Diaboromon entered the system of the telephone company and tampered with the phone connections.Eventually,Taichi and Koushirou's connection to the internet was terminated because of Diaboromon's interference.K-chan left to get a satellite uplink while T-chan was in a sort of a "defeated state of mind".Beforehand,he had called the other Chosen Children but all of them were either away or doing something else.Yamato and Takeru were in their Obaasan's house in the province;Jyou was taking an exam;Hikari was on a birthday party waiting for the magician;he and and Sora weren't in good terms and unknown to him at that time,Mimi was in Hawaii having the time of her life.A light of hope sparked into Taichi when the phone company advertised a back-up for the phone problems. He immediately followed the procedures shown on tv and called each one again. He was really in a desperate mood and his voice showed it.By the time he called Mimi ,his tone is already kind of tired. How could this be a hint?Well,it's not the tone that's necessary but the words used. This was Taichi's dialogue: Hi,Mimi. This is Taichi. Please come over to my house as soon as you get this message.Goodbye.
I immediately noticed the difference between the messages he left for the others(especially to Sora) to the message he left for Mimi.Did we hear him say Hi,Please & Goodbye when he called Sora? No,he didn't but he did say I'm Sorry to appease the girl's petty anger towards him because of the fact that he gave her a hairclip for her birthday(how shallow can you get?Just for a hairclip?)The three words above seem petty but they mean a whole lot to Michi believer. The word, Please, has the most impact.Saying the word means,he was requesting her,NOT ordering her.The calls he made to the others were more like orders.Do you agree with me?Have you also noticed that he gave Mi-chan only one option and that is to go to his house directly? So what?well,Sora had 2 options:to call or just come over.I take that he doesn't mind if Sora calls him or comes over to his house.Either way is fine with him. However with Mimi,he wanted her to be physically beside him.We all know that the Chosen Children could help Taichi and Koushirou even if they're not physically beside the 2 as long as they're in front of a computer, just like in Yamato's case. It's up to Koushirou to inform Jennai for the other digimons to be sent to the internet.Besides Mimi,it was only Hikari who he ordered to be at their house. One,because she's his sister and two, because I doubt she could use her friend's computer in a middle of a birthday party.Mimi's not his sister and I'm sure she has her own computer. I also think that Mimi is not that stupid to not know how to use a PC,as what other people sterotyped.Come to think of it,if the situation was a real emergency, why would Taichi have Mimi come to his house and waste a lot of precious time when she could just call him and help in the comforts of her own home? When Taichi left a message for Sora ,calling him was the first option he gave her.Coming over was just an add-on. My cousin pointed out to me that the reason why Taichi wanted Mimi over at his house is because the phone lines were down so she could not access the internet.Probably, this maybe is the reason but may I remind that Koushirou's mom was still able to e-mail him after the Diaboromon-NTT termination so it's possible that not all phone lines were affected or maybe the Izumi's are under a different phone company. Assuming the Tachikawa's too are under a different phone company so internet connection isn't affected.Provincial phone lines weren't affected too,if you noticed that Yamato didn't need a satellite uplink.
