She didn't want her best friend to die so soon. Sakura was falling, and reaching out to Miyako and Horusmon. Even if she was far away from the two. The girl closed her eyes, her hair swishing in the wind. "It's over.." Her falling digivice emitted a strange glow, causing Sakura to glow a light pink color. She paused for awhile in the air, and slowly floated down to the ground. The girl landed gently in an unfrozen bed of flowers. ~ Horusmon kicked at the Leviathamon, then began soaring away from the evil Digimon. "Miyako! We have to find the others!" Miyako, who was crying, banged her fist on Horusmon. But since Horusmon is too strong, he couldn't really feel pain from Miyako. "HORUSMON! We have to go back! We have to save Sakura!" Horusmon lowered his head, "I'm sorry Miyako. We can't. The Leviathamon will destroy us easily in this condition. It's probably too late to save her. I'm... very.. sorry." Miyako choked on her tears. "She's still alive. I just know it. She's a Chosen Child. She can't leave us..." Her digimon looked at her, or at least tried to. He lowered his head in disappointment again, changing the subject. "We've lost the Leviathamon. All we have to do is find the others... okay... Miyako?" Wiping her tears, she tried to be strong, and nodded. "Yes. Let's go." All was silent. Horusmon and Miyako haven't talked in awhile. Until a familiar voice interuppted their silence. "Miyako! MIYAKO! HORUSMON!" it was Hikari, riding ontop of Nefertimon. Nefertimon flew over to Horusmon, flying right beside him. Hikari smiled happily, "We defeated the other Leviathamon! The others are waiting down below... hrm? Miyako?" Hikari saw the depressed look on Miyako's face. "Miyako?" she looked behind Miyako, "Sakura is not with you." Miyako sighed, "I know... she.. fell off.. while the Leviathamon were attacking." "WHAT?! Your saying... no.." the brown-haired girl shook her head. "Let's go talk about this with the others." Miyako nodded slowly. Nefertimon and Horusmon flew down toward a forest clearing, where all the other Chosen Children were. All their digimon were back into their child forms. Miyako and Hikari climbed down their digimon. Nefertimon and Horusmon glowed, and devolved back down into Teirumon and Hawkmon. Daisuke waved happily, "Hey!" he blinked, his hand falling back to his side. "Miyako, something wrong?" Iori ran up to Miyako's side and held her hand. "Miyako-san, what happened...? Sakura..." "She fell off Horusmon. We would've gone back.. but those.. Digimon.. were.. getting in our way!" she cried. She banged her fist into a tree. Iori patted her other hand, "Calm down." Hawkmon stumbled over to Miyako, "Don't.. think about it, Miyako." Miyako took off her spectacles, and rubbed her eyes, "I'm trying not to. There could've been a miracle! S-something.. something like that. Sakura can't leave us so quickly. She's a Chosen Child!" Takeru sighed, upset seeing his very depressed and angry friend. "Miyako.. please calm down." Miyako screamed out, "It's all my fault! I can't calm down! .. Sakura.. my best friend." she pulled her hand away from Iori and dashed away from the group. Hikari was about to chase after Miyako, but Iori stopped her. "Hikari, she'll just need a little quiet time for herself, alright?" Iori stood in front of Hikari, looking up at her. Hikari nodded. Then all the others nodded with agreement. ~ "Uhhnnn..." Sakura moaned, laying on the hard, dirty black floor. She wasn't laying in the soft flower bed she fell on before. She turned over, staring up at the ceiling. Someone must have taken her in. "... where am I? ... Miyako. Everyone." She felt something.. nudging her on the side. "Miss, miss, are you alright?" said a highpitched voice. Sakura sat up, then looked down at the thing nudging her. It was a little worm digimon, quiet adorable with it's large baby blue eyes. Sakura smiled faintly, "Yeah, thanks for asking. And who may you be?" "I'm Wormmon, the Digimon Kaizer's digimon." he grinned up at the child. The girl had a shocked look, nearly falling over. "Y-you..." she began to slowly inch away. Wormmon shook his head, "It's alright! I don't like fighting." he looked a little sad, "And the Digimon Kaizer doesn't really care about me." "You poor thing." said Sakura. Wormmon smiled gently, "The Chosen Children are very nice people." Sakura giggled at Wormmon, she was beginning to like the young digimon. She then glanced around, "Is this.. a Dark Tower?" Wormmon nodded his head, "Yup. Not a very nice place to be. A group of digimon took you here, into this... empty room. The ones working for The Digimon Kaizer, of course." She nodded also, "Yeah. Do you think you could show me a way out?" "Well, I can---.. er." Wormmon paused, looking up. "Uh oh." "What is it?" "The Digimon Kaizer's here. I better run, he'll probably get mad at me for talking to you." he quickly dashed away, disappearing into the darkness. Sakura held her hand out, "W-wait! Wor--.. oh no. Why'd he leave me?" Loud footsteps were heard, coming closer and getting louder as they did. *BA-DUMP!* Sakura's heart began to beat loudly. "What's he going to do with me? I don't have a digimental. Nor do I have a digimental." she clutched the front of her shirt, her heart pounding wildly. She saw Wormmon's head poking out from behind a pillar, then he hid away. Sakura closed her eyes, and groaned, her head bowed down. Long brown bangs dangled in front of her face. Appearing out from the hall and stepping into the room was... The Digimon Kaizer himself. A young boy, just about the same age as Sakura. He was wearing some kind of odd-looking outfit with a large cape. His hair was spiked out a little, and glasses covered his eyes. He slowly approached the girl who was crouched on the floor. Sakura left her head down, she was afraid to look up at the Kaizer. The Digimon Kaizer smirked, "Another new little Chosen Child pest here to ruin my plans, hm?" Sakura stayed silent, she was still scared. "Speechless?" he asked. The girl cringed, she just had to speak up. She tried hard not to look at him. "Why bother capturing me? I don't have my Digimon, nor my digimental." "Is that so..? You're useless." Sakura slowly looked up at the Digimon Kaizer. She wasn't depressed, but she had fear in her eyes. The Digimon Kaizer blinked at Sakura's face, looking like he has seen her before. "You're.." he shook his head. "Hmph.." ".. what?" she asked. "None of your business." he grinned mischieviously, and folded his arms. "It'd be no use escaping this place, you wouldn't be able to open the gates... weakling. Plus your digivice and D-Terminal have been locked away. You'll never get out of here. Just stay here and suffer." The Kaizer walked out of the room, cackling like many evil villains would. Sakura shook her head sadly, ".. rmm.." Wormmon appeared from behind the pillar, then crawled up to Sakura. "You alright, Miss Sakura?" She nodded, "I think I am. But.." "But what?" "For some reason... I have a feeling that I have met him somewhere before." she shook her head, "No.. no way." "Huh? I wouldn't think so." Sakura stood up, "Oh well, I guess he's letting me have a chance to wander around freely in the Dark Tower. Oooo, this is going to be sooooo much fun." She said sarcasticly. "If only I had my D-Terminal.. I could contact Miyako to tell her I'm alright and come rescue me. She probably thinks I'm dead now." "Hey, didn't the Kaizer say that he locked up the D-Terminal here?" asked Wormmon. Sakura sighed, "Yeah, and I can't get it." Wormmon smiled, "It's alright. I know where to get it." "Really? Where?!" Sakura picked up Wormmon, holding him in front of her face. Wormmon giggled at Sakura, "It's quiet easy, since I hang around the Dark Towers all the time." She smiled, and hugged Wormmon, "Your the best!" He blushed, "Eh heh heh." Sakura blinked, then placed Wormmon back down on the hard cement floor. "Uhm, question. Why in the DigiWorld are you helping me? Aren't you with the Digimon Kaizer?" "Like I said, I hate fighting most of the time. I'm shocked about what the Digimon Kaizer is doing to this world and the real world. The Chosen Children are supposed to help save both worlds. And since you don't have your digimental and digimon.. I want to help you." he smiled, one of his cutest smiles. "Miss Sakura..." Sakura smiled back, "Thank you." ~ Wormmon and Sakura stood in front of a large wooden door, a metal lock was hanging from the door handle. Sakura tugged on the handle, "Looks like we're gonna have to get the lock out." she winced, rubbing her hand. She pulled a little too hard. Wormmon frowned, and began to chew on the lock. He hopped back, "Owww, my mouth." He shook his head, "We're going to have to find another way." Sakura plopped down on the floor, sighing, "Have any ideas?" Wormmon began to ponder awhile and shook his head, "Nope!" Sakura grumbled, "Oh that's great. There's gotta be some way out of here." She stood up on her feet, and began walking down the dark halls. Wormmon blinked, and started to crawl after her, "Miss Sakura! WAIT! You don't know---.." he paused, and glanced at both directions down the hall, "Where'd she go?" ~ Walking down the hallway, making loud footsteps was Sakura, trying to find her way around. Wasn't actually a good idea, Wormmon was the one who knew the place. But she had left him behind. Sakura sighed, looking into very empty dark damp rooms. There was nothing helpful to be found. She leaned against the wall, sighing, "It's hopeless!" After a few seconds break, Sakura continued her way around the hall. Just when she was about to make a turn, a loud shout was heard, "POISON IVY!!" Long vines sprouted out, nearly whipping Sakura's legs. Sakura dived to the side, just in time, but scraping her knee. "Owww." She looked up, "That voice..." Something that looked somewhat like a Palmon. The only difference was that she had a cherry blossom flower ontop of her head. It was Sakura's digimon, Flowermon. Sakura smiled, "Flowermon it's you!" she hopped up to her feet, and ran toward her digimon partner. "FLOWERMON! It's good to see---!!" "POISON IVY!" Flowermon cut Sakura off, more vines sprouting from her large plant-hands. The vines encircled around Sakura, then tightened around her like ropes. Sakura winced, "Flowermon! What happened to you?!" she yelped. Flowermon didn't respond, but continued to squeeze tighter. She began slamming Sakura into the wall of the hallway, "Intruder.." she muttered. "AHHH!!" Sakura screamed in pain, then took another look at Flowermon. An evil ring was around her neck and her eyes were dark black. "An evil ring? No wonder! Flowermon is under the Digimon Kaizer's spell!" Flowermon began spinning, then slammed Sakura into the wall again. Sakura took the hit, and cringed, "It's painful.. Flowermon..." she stared at her digimon. "If only I can take that Evil Ring off. But, it's too late now." She frowned. "STICKY NET!!" Wormmon's voice shouted. He appeared out of the shadows, and began to spray a white net around Flowermon's legs and arms. Flowermon could no longer move. She gave up on Sakura, letting her go easily, then began to struggle to get out of the nets. Wormmon crawled over to Sakura, "Are you alright? You shouldn't have ran off, Miss Sakura." Sakura nodded, "I know. Sorry. But all I want now is to get that evil ring off Flowermon's neck." Wormmon nodded with agreement, then held Flowermon still. He shook a little as Flowermon struggled. "Alright, I'll try to keep her still, you pull the ring off her neck." Sakura knelt down beside her digimon partner. Flowermon nearly bit her hand like a vicious digimon. So she quickly pulled the evil ring off of Flowermon's neck. Flowermon's eyes closed, then opened up again. Her eyes turned back to normal, and she looked around innocently. "What happened? Sakura... your back! I knew you'd come find me!" Sakura tore the nets off of Flowermon's hands and feet, then gave her a warm hug. "Of course." "Why're you here? Why's Wormmon here?" "Wormmon helped me rescue you. And, I'm imprisoned here.. The only way for me to get out is contact the other Chosen Children through the D-Terminal." "And why can't you?" "It's locked up. The keys aren't around." Flowermon smiled, placing her hands on her hips, "Well, It's up to me then. I'll be able to open it with my Poison Ivy attack! Then we can break loose! Anyways, all your stuff is in there!" "My digimental, digivice, d-terminal, right?" "Yup!" Sakura picked up Flowermon, getting ready to go back where she started. Wormmon cleared his throat, "Forgetting someone?" Flowermon and Sakura looked down at Wormmon, and laughed. "Oh yeah! Forgot! C'mon Wormmon!" Wormmon managed to smile at the two, then lead the way for the girls down the hall. ~ Miyako was sitting down by a river, throwing rocks into the water. *plop* *plop* "It's all my fault." she groaned. "It's all MY fault.." Miyako reached into her pocket, pulling out her D-Terminal. She tapped her fingers lightly on the keys, typing nothing at all. "If only a miracle would happen..." *BEEP* The tiny computer squeeked. "E-mail? From who?" Miyako typed in a couple of keys and hit the enter button. She stared at the screen in shock. "... Sakura... she's still alive!"
