-Report-
This was EmnEm Cosplay's first trip to an Anime Convention. Unfortunately, we were only able to stay for one day, Friday. Nevertheless we had fun. We arrived there bright and early to register (I learned about the convention the day pre registration was due). We got registered, and then proceded to the Main Hall for Opening Ceremonies. While we were standing in line, the webmaster for the Anime Web Turnpike was standing behind us! I didn't know it was him until I saw his picture on A Fan's View! I know I sound wierd... but I thought it was cool. After waiting in line for a long time, we were finally let in. We got pretty good seats, too! The opening ceremonies were cool, I liked seeing all of the Japanese guests! After the opening ceremonies we went to the video room and watched Tenchi in Tokyo. This was when I was in my Tenchi phase, so I would watch anything... After that we ate lunch. Exiting. Then we headed over to the dealers room, where, surprisingly, there was no line to get in! Yay! I spent a whole bunch of money, it was insane... They have a lot of great stuff, though. It was in the dealers room where we got hooked on Jubei Chan! We were walking around the Bandai area and it playing on a big screen full blast. We ended up staying and watching the whole episode! Also, while we were watching Jubei Chan, this guy came up and began to talk to me. He had a Fushigi Yuugi wallscroll, and we talked about that for awile. I think the guy who he was with was dressed up as Ranma. I wish I could remember who he was, but I can't! Oh well, he was the mystery guy at Anime Expo... We then decided to check out a panel. We chose Kazuto Nakazawa, because his was the closest and he was the character designer for El Hazard, one of my fave animes! His panel was really interesting, we learned a lot about the world of making anime! Because their was not as many people attending, we all got an autograph (usually that draw autograph opportunities at random)! We didn't get a sketch though... oh well... While waiting for our autograph time, we checked out the art show. There was some great art there! Some people put a lot of time into those. Then ir was time to get our autograph! We waited in line (again). I had him sign my program because I had nothing else. I wanted to have him sign my Jinnai CD but I was too lazy to open it. Oh well. I was hoping he would recognize my Nanami costume but he didn't. Another oh well. After that, we had to go home! No! But all in all it was a great day. I am glad that I will be able to attend all four days next year.
