Beezel is a blue devil with a green belly button (that looks like a stone stuck there; an early troll doll!) and a mange of brown hair. And of course he has his devil's tail. Occasionally he has a horn that looks just like Unico's, which is a gift to him from Unico.
Beezel is the only child of the Devil of Solitude on the Island of Solitude. When the Devil of Solitude destroys himself when trying to hurt Unico, Beezel becomes the next Devil of Solitude. Beezel has the most horrible communication problem with other people; he doesn't know how to be nice, he doesn't play fair and he doesn't want to do anything if he doesn't get something out of it. When Unico comes to the island, Beezel automatically hates him and makes Unico's life a mess. But then when he makes Unico leave Beezel feels very lonely, a feeling he has never had before. Little by little the two become friends. Beezel wants Unico's horn and gets it by saying he won't be Unico's friend unless he gives him the horn. Beezel's cruel playing ends up with Unico in the sea and without his horn Unico has no powers. Beezel doesn't help Unico out, but later does because he knows he's his friend. Beezel dives in and gives Unico his horn back, but quickly sinks because the sea is poison to devils. But he had rescued Unico anyway. Unico then rescues him by becoming his powerful adult form.
Beezel really isn't a bad kid; he just never had anyone for a friend before. Unlike any of the other friends Unico has, Beezel is determined to follow Unico and find him no matter what. He does end up leaving the island with West Wind and reuniting with Unico. He later helps Unico rescue Katy and defeat Baron DeGhost.
