The Old Woman wears a torn dress with patches with a little vest and some simple shoes. Her white hair is up in a small bun, and at times she wears a red scarf around her head. Of course, no one can miss her big nose. ^_^
The Old Woman that Katy and Unico live with is a very kind and weak woman. She seems very humble and wise, but she seems to have no family, and spends her days just trying to keep her house together. She has a hard time since sweet potatoes seem to be her only food. But most of all, even though she needs help with the chores, she really needs companionship and is very lonely. She likes Katy as a cat and when Katy is human, the Old Woman is very glad to have company. She greatly misses Katy (human Katy) when she is gone, especially during the time when Katy's been turned back into a cat. When Katy is saved from Baron DeGhost, the first thing she thinks about is if the Old Woman is safe. When she comes back to the cottage, she is safe, and Katy vows to never leave the Old Woman's side again. When Katy tells her about how Unico saved her, the Old Woman then tells her that Unico was a unicorn. The Old Woman has heard about Unico (probably from myth) and knows that Unico won't come back ever again once he brings people happiness. Katy doesn't want to believe her as she shouts for Unico. However, by that time, Unico has already been taken away by the West Wind. The Old Woman tells Katy that even though Unico is gone, he will always watch over her.
