Unico is a very small baby unicorn who is white or slightly light green with a bush of red hair that is the beginnings of a mane. His eyes are green.
Unico has the gift, or rather, misfortune of making everyone he meets happy because of his innocent nature and/or because of the power of his small white horn that will glow or create magic depending on his feelings at moments. He's also been thought to bring good luck, but that's debatable. Unico is always around for his friends, and if they truly love him, he has the power to become a full grown Unicorn for short spans of time. Often Unico is willing to sacrafice his own life for his friends that he love and is always caring about them and watching them to keep them out of trouble and harm's way.
Even though Unico brings love and joy to all his friends and many people, his wonderful gift to people often leads to him having to leave them. Unlike the pilot film (Unico: Black Cloud, White Feather) and the original manga, he has to leave so he will not be discovered by the Gods who have banished him to the Hill of Oblivion because they felt only they should have the power to make people happy. His gift brings happiness, but often when he has to leave, his gift makes him unhappy. Sadly ironic, yes?
