Tai's baby Digimon is Botamon, a little black blob with ears!!! He does in fact look like a baby bear cub. This little guy is one of the Digimon found in primary village.

In the first episode, when Tai awakes up, after being sucked into Digiworld, he finds himself staring into a pair of big reddish eyes. This little pink bouncing head kinda scares Tai at first but they get to be friends. This is Koromon, and he's been waiting for Tai. He proves his loyalty to his friend by helping fight off the evil Digimon Kuwagamon. His name means 'brave little monster', which is exactly what he is!

By sharing Tai's energy he is able to digi-volve into Agumon, an orange tyrannosaur. This little Digimon is a rookie and he travels with Tai, helping him learn what being a good leader is all about. Agumon's attack is Pepper Breath, a small fireball he throws from his mouth. Agumon isn't a great fighter and is very humble, but when the going gets rough he is ready to protect Tai. He loves to make friends with people even if they are kinda crazy like BlackWarGreymon. He loves life and sees the good in everything. He never takes his friends for granted and makes the most of what he's got: "If all you've got is lemons, make lemon pie!".

When Tai is in danger, Agumon can digi-volve into the Digimon Champion Greymon. If Agumon hadn't Digivolved into Greymon to defeat Shellmon, the kids would never have survived. He is always ready to protect Tai and through their friendship, they both grow stronger.

Greymon's evil form is SkullGreymon, he Digivolves into this form when Tai forced him to Digivolve in season 1. However, when Tai learns that Digimon can't be forced to Digivolve, Skullgreymon becomes the lovable little Agumon again.

Special Ability: Flying
The Ultimate digi-volution of Tai’s Digimon is MetalGreymon. He digivolves using the digivice and Tai’s Tag and Crest which were found in the wall of some ruins. However, he couldn't have done it without the help of Pixiemon who helps Agumon to regain his courage after his Dark-Digivolution. He helps to defeat Etemon after he first Digivolves. He looks much like Greymon, but with ragged wings and a metal arm, face, and chest plate.
I think MetalGreymon's evil form is DarkMetalGreymon who I believe features in one episode in Season 2.

Attack: Nova force: he gathers energy from around him and focuses it into a ball which he shoots at his enemy.
Attack 2: Mega claw
Special Ability: Flying
With the help of the Digivice and the Tag and Crest, Tai’s Digimon can then warp digi-volve into his Mega form: WarGreymon. This Digimon is covered with armor and can fly. The same symbol on Tai's Crest of Courage can be found on the back of his wings/ Shields. His main attack is a giant shining ball of orange energy.
MetalGreymon is one of the only two of the digidestined’s digimon who can reach Mega level in the show! He is the team's trump card and gets them out of trouble a lot.
His Evil form is BlackWargreymon who is one of the enemies in Season 2.
WarGreymon and Garurumon can DNAdigivolve to form Omnimon
