Tai and Agumon were the first to run into this snowman-like Digimon. They saved him from the control of a black gear, and to repay them he helped them reach one of the many other sections of File Island where other kids were waiting. Much later in the series, Mimi befriends and recruits him to help in the fight against the Dark Masters.
In the second season, the Digimon Emperor employs several Frigimon in an effort to defend one of his newest control spires in the frozen lands of the Digital World. Of course, they don't stand much chance against Flamedramon.
