Yamato Ishida (Matt): Just call him Matt. This boy's a bit of a rebel. He's got a problem with authority, and since Tai has deemed himself leader of this group, the two boys tend to clash, Physically! Matt tries to act like he doesn't care about anything, like he's just too cool, but inside he really cares a lot. He's just too afraid to admit it. 
The one thing he doesn't pretend to care nothing about is his little brother T.K. In the Digiworld Matt looks after his little brother and keeps him from harm. Actually he's a bit over-protective, which doesn't make T.K. happy. But it's just because he really loves his little brother. He also has problems letting people get to close to him, ever since his parents divorced when he was younger.
He lives with his dad,
who is a reporter, and T.K. lives with his mom
. They don't live in the same district, so they don't see each other very much.
He loves his harmonica and often plays it when he’s upset. There is one thing I don’t understand about Matt: HOW CAN HE SURVIVE IN THAT NO-SLEEVE SHIRT IN ARCTIC CONDITIONS. Oh well anything can happen in Anime!
In Digimon the movie we meet Matt's gran. A crazy old woman who keeps falling asleep.

Matt now sings and plays the guitar in a rock band called Teenage wolves

25 years later:
Matt and Gabumon became an astronaut team and made it all the way to Mars, even though they were only supposed to go to the Moon. He has a son and a daughter and was married to Sora but is now divorced.
