Ten years ago Cologne had brought Shampoo with her when visiting a near-by village to get some herbs. While she was there, she was attacked by Pink (who used a special root), only to be saved by Link (after Pink had left) who gets beaten up by Shampoo - because they look identical. As revenge every time Shampoo went to the village she severely beat up the twins. When an article about Shampoo's 'happy marriage to Ranma' appears in Shampoo's village newspaper, Pink and Link come to Japan for revenge.
